I fully understand why he didn’t escape-he was infected and not only would never be able to touch madeleine or his daughter, he wouldn’t have been able to touch anyone else ever either, as the nanobots go from person to person (shown when he accidentally killed blumfeld) so he would never know if someone he touched would one day through touching others and them touching someone else etc through the years, that someone would one day touch them). M put it together with that end quote about the difference between living and just existing.

Loved Paloma character.

Whilst I think Nomi was great, her character was brittle and angry. And just not enough for me. I seriously can’t see her carrying a 15yr 5film franchise and tbh I wouldn’t pay to see it🤷‍♀️ Sexist as it may be; I need 007 to be a ripped handsome chap, or I’m just done.

Bond will not work as a female character. I remember Jinx played by Halle Berry was suggested as a “ new Bond” but it didn’t go anywhere.
I was disappointed that Miss Moneypenny wasn’t the other agent on the assignment, the other woman agent was unnecessary. Paloma was brilliant, a real kick ass character.

The start of Casino Royale shows DC’s James Bond getting his 00 status. This doesn’t fit with all the films that have gone before, in a way the DC films were a set in themselves. They can easily reboot and not reference the ending of this movie, but I feel they may do something different.

I’m the worst at picking up plot holes and even I worked out that some of it didn’t make a huge amount of sense, but I did really enjoy it. And I cried. I feel a bit sad afterwards though.

I I’ve grown up with bond. I have accepted all the reboots but this feels different. Not sure I can watch again . It’s not marvel. It’s not Doctor Who. For me in ended today.

It raised more questions than it answered-

Madelene Swann had a father (and I think sister was mentioned), what happened to them?
Why did Safin wait until she was with Bond to take her?
If the nanobots never die, won't they go into the sea and wash up on the beach or go through the fish chain to humans?
Surely the best thing would be to cement the Island like Chernobyl not nuke it.

In the square, Bonds car gets shot to shit, except the front and back.
At the end an army of men come at him with automatics, spray of bullets all miss, not even a nick. Not even a smack in the balls with a rope this time.
