DH and I just finished watching 'Downsizing' starring Matt Damon and we're baffled.

Legit looked at each other at the end of the movie like wtf was that🤣🤣
The downsizing concept (shrinking people) sounded interesting and had so much potential at the start but then the movie suddenly turns into what feels like a completely different plot about global warming and saving the planet.
What a waste of a good cast too - Kristen Wiig, Christoph Waltz etc

It's not even bad in a funny way, it's just bad. I was expecting a comedy 😑
It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
Hated it so much I started a thread lmao 😂

What's the worst movie you've ever seen?

@JumpLeadsForTwo

Also That's my boy - Adam Sandler. Lasted 5mins, had to turn off at the teacher flirting with the teenager
I was going to nominate this myself - terrible, terrible film. I don't like Adam Sandler but I thought it might be ok because it had Andy Samberg in it. Nope. Lasted about 30 minutes before I ditched it.

Oh, and the Wicker Man remake with Nic Cage. I actually enjoyed it immensely because it was so unintentionally funny. I saw it in the cinema and the whole audience was laughing along as if we were watching a comedy. No! Not the bees!!

Velvet Goldmine, don’t waste your time, such a missed opportunity considering the subject matter, I don’t know how they managed to f it up.

Star Trek The Next Generation/ the only time I’ve walked out after 30 mins. It just didn’t make any sense and was boring.

Sex Lives Of The Potato Men . I don’t know why I even watched it. Although my mate thought it was so bad it was good

Just flicked through the channels and see that the dreadful Gravity is on BBC1 at the moment

Battleofwhocouldcareless · 28/07/2021 12:30

Lawn Mower Man, Face Off and most other films starring Nicholas Cage

The worst thing for me was watching the Green Lantern. I remember then there was still a passion for comics and the film was a complete failure.

StayAGhost · 28/07/2021 13:36

Vanilla Sky
There appears to be no plot 🙄

I wish I’d read this thread yesterday, then I wouldn’t have wasted over 2 hours watching Red Sparrow! I hope Jennifer Lawrence got paid a lot to make up for the embarrassment of being in this film!
Was also very bored by John Wick, LalaLand and Holiday. TMNT the movie was terrible, the children I took to see it didn’t enjoy it either, and Pokemon was also dreadful.
But I loved Shape of Water.

So so many.
Controversial but I hated Titanic. Such manipulative, tawdry rubbish.
Also The Holiday, total nonsense, pandering to American ideals of British life.
La la land, self indulgent shite.
My Best Friend's Wedding, so awful and cruel.
Mickey Blue eyes, Hugh Grant cashing it in
Knocked Up. Have a fucking abortion.
Mamma Mia
Les Mis, the signing is terrible.

Any of the Car-driving-really-fast type rubbish.
So much crap being filmed these days.
