I m a bit sad about there being no more related characters. Dd thinks the kid at the end is a relative of Obi but I can't see how.

Loved the ending with Luke but I was surprised all the old guard have now gone.

Hated the hamster like creatures. It feels like R2D2 was 'cute' so they try to include 'cute' in the films.

Was obvious Kylo Ren and the killing of his enemy.

Slightly wonky physics I can cope with. The way that the tie fights and x-wings fly for example.
Stuff that just doesn’t make sense I can’t.

Is it just me who sees a similarity?

They do look similar but I'll take Adam Driver over Keanu any day!

I may have to go look at some more pictures and ponder that dilemma a bit mischief.

Keanu is more mainstream attractive. He’s just beautiful. The fact that he can’t act his way out of a paper bag is obv a bonus.

There’s something mesmering about Adam Driver’s very busy face though. His chest, I’ll grant you, is very mainstream.

Adam Driver has one of those confusing hot/not faces, thankfully supplemented by a weird magnetism which tips the balance in his favour. Abs a bonus.

Sorry, he's just weird looking (but then, I think it's pretty obvious which generation I'm in, ahem)

I think he looks a bit like Dave Grohl actually (and lots fancy him. But I don't)

Meh! The hotness discussion works for me. Saves us having to handwring over the scientific bloopers.

If I was still a teenager I would find Adam Driver hot, and Kylo even more so as I loved the emo type back then (I might have seen him as tragically wronged). My dd certainly does, but even she thought the shirt off scene was risible.

He's 35 so I think it's ok to not be a teenager and still find him hot?

Pah, scientific bloopers schmoopers. Once you've decided to tear up Einstein and have stuff travelling faster than light, and apparently still having Newtonian absolute simultaneity throughout the universe, what's a few more bloopers between friends? (Sorry, spent way too much time studying general relativity as a grad student.) It's science fiction, the clue is in the name. No-one comes out of a Harry Potter movie and says "but magic isn't real, so I didn't like it." Suspension of disbelief rules in my books.

(It's one of my pet bugbears with sci fi - the idea that one should nit-pick the science. The only question is "has the writer made it plausible enough within universe that you can enjoy the story?")

The odd thing about the shirtless scene was the very high trousers. Why do the First Order wear their trousers almost under their armpits??

Plus the prime hotness ought to be Poe. Sad that he wasn't allowed to continue with his gay overtures to Finn.

Sorry, lowered the tone there... Naw, Adam Driver doesn't do it for me (and not just because he would make me feel like a dirty old woman in a grubby mac - I wouldn't fancy him if I was 20 years younger. Face is all wrong. And all the parts I've seen him play seem to have him cast as a whingey git.) I just don't get "Reylo." Now if I was 20 years younger and someone offered me a fling with Cassian Andor from Rogue One...

The high trousers were super weird, lost most of his torso there. Not sure why, seems like a nice enough torso really. I don't have an issue with him being younger than me, I just don't find that look / character attractive any more.

dd and I also saw Justice League recently (we've had a bad run!) and Henry Cavill's half nakedness also left me cold (although that was because he was weirdly hairy, where I thought Adam Driver oddly shiny, both very unsexy). We're just about to see Shape of Water, which dd has told me is all about sex with fishmen. I hope it delivers

Just remembered something that did annoy me from TLJ- why has Rey gone from saying "Falcon" and "Han" the English way to the American way? (Folcun/Falcun & Han/Harn)

Luke was the biggest disappointment to me Butchy. If they were going to use him so badly and then kill him off I think I'd rather they killed him at the beginning of the film than the end. Am resetting all memories to 6 when he was fantastic still.
