I was looking at the Super Mario game on the DS for my brother when someone mentioned the film.
I remember seeing it, Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo. God it was dire!!
What the worst film you've seen? Any reason whatsoever, however irrational it may seem.

Maybe Baby - Ben Elton film with Hugh Laurie and one of Vanessa Redgrave's daughters. Embarrassingly unwatchable.

franca70 · 03/03/2007 21:05

the only good thing he did was explorers, and only because river phoenix was in it...

pollyanna · 03/03/2007 21:06

dh loves Armageddon and Independence Day. Absolutely pants imo.

expatinscotland · 03/03/2007 21:06

He was okay in 'Gattica', franca.

But on the whole, he sucks.

Troutpout · 03/03/2007 21:07

Ed Wood
Waterworld (is that the one with K. costner? or is that just the name of the swimming pool in Stoke...mmm not sure)
Crouching tiger hidden shite
Anything with Nicholas Cage in

expatinscotland · 03/03/2007 21:08

God, yes, Troutpout!

Nicholas COPPOLA.

Only got jobs because of his family connections.

Racers · 03/03/2007 21:14

Congo - god, i even paid to see it at the pictures arghh

franca70 · 03/03/2007 21:14

yes gattaca wasn't too bad I suppose. share your contempt towards nicholas cage (though I love raising arizona)

sauce · 03/03/2007 21:14

Nicholas Cage was brilliant in Raising Arizona.

franca70 · 03/03/2007 21:17

x post!

LieselVentouse · 03/03/2007 21:18

Pret a porter - we walked out.
Pulp fiction was shit too

sauce · 03/03/2007 21:19

Si Franca! Haven't we got good taste (& good memories)?

sauce · 03/03/2007 21:19

Pulp Fiction was not shit.

FrogPrincess · 03/03/2007 21:19

Eyes Wide Shut
utter tosh

Spidermama · 03/03/2007 21:24

This could well be controversial but ....

Wings of Desire. Such utter, utter bollocks. What didn't help is that dh loves it and he'd built it up so I was expecting something really amazing. I thought it was absolutely awful. For a while after the screening, dh and I wondered what we ever saw in each other.

I agree that Moulin Rouge is shite and Resevour Dogs, Pulp Fiction etc which are just nasty for the sake of nastiness.

Amelie irritated me. Very slappable, face-wise.

CountTo10 · 03/03/2007 21:27

Watched four brothers the other night and that was dire which was disappointing. Also hated a film called warlock which i insisted was turned off. Scorpion King has got to bw up there. Also hate the rocky collection.

franca70 · 03/03/2007 21:27

oh god, wings of desire... didn't like it either.

LieselVentouse · 03/03/2007 21:29

Okay if you like buggery and blowing your mates head of then Pulp Fiction is shit hot

expatinscotland · 03/03/2007 21:31

I didn't see what all the hype was about Pulp Fiction.

Or any Tarrantino film, for that matter.

sauce · 03/03/2007 21:32

but that dancing bit was so good!

PeachyClair · 03/03/2007 21:33

I am famed for sleeping through the Pulp Fiction release preview night at the cinema LOL- bored me rigid!!!

Rush Hour ws chosen by DH for our first cinema date- Is till only have to mention it to gte an apology. Hang on I shall try now: oops no he's gone all defensive and quoting erroneous reviews at me LOL

LieselVentouse · 03/03/2007 21:33

Yeah the dancing was awesome I have to admit and even seeing Uma Thurman choke on her own vomit was worth it, could have done without the other two hours of it though

MrsMuddle · 03/03/2007 21:33

S-Club Seeing Double. I took the DC It made Spice World look like an Oscar winner.

sauce · 03/03/2007 21:34

True. I think it was mostly so amazing to see John Revolta make a comeback.

Caligula · 03/03/2007 21:34

Bachelor Party.

But that's pretty obvious, of course it would be awful (I hadn't heard of it and was shocked by how crap it was.)

Of the serious ones, Out of Africa and The Piano are up there for me. Dull, dull, dull.
