Damian Lewis is the favourite to play the next James Bond. What do you think?

I know most secret agents probably look like John Major but I do think the fictional ones at least should be suave and sophisticated. Damian Lewis looks as though he should be working for the council, in charge of assigning allotments or something equally as dangerous.

I just can’t imagine him arse kicking and seducing his way across the world in pursuit of the baddies. He looks as though he'd stop mid scrap to tell the villains that his bad hip was at him and could they please reschedule.

James Norton can do menacing, Happy Valley anyone? But otherwise looks too wholesome public schoolboy. But maybe in a few years when DC steps down, he might be more rugged etc.

Vincent Cassel would be a good Bond villain (I loved Mesrine) as would Edgar Ramirez and Daniel Brühl.

I'm going Rufus Sewell for Bond. Would love Tom Burke, but I don't think that will happen.

Just been rewatching the 2011 Jane Eyre and came on here to say Michael Fassbender and u see he's already been mentioned a few times! I think Cluve Owen would have been perfect but I guess he's a little too old for the part now

I love Idris Elba but he can't be Bond ! Bond is of Scottish descent and is definitely not black. Nor ginger or definitely not Daniel Craig. He has black hair and is sophisticated but with a hint of menace. I read all the books when I was at school and Sean Connery, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan were the vest and most like the descriptions in the books

Moln you lucky thing, I'd have had a sneaky lick of his face as he walked past. Only a gentle lick, so gentle he'd barely have noticed and therefore I'd have avoided arrest.

Not Aiden 'guess the accent of the day' Gillen. DH worked with him on Queer As Folk and reports he's so far up himself he can see the back of his own teeth.

Right Daniel Craig is 5.10.
Simon baker is also 5.10 and micheal fassbender is 6ft so my suggestions meet the height if nothing else :)
