I've tried .

I've really tried to engage in the fwr board but it's so hostile.

I really wanted to explore more but I just feel attacked whenever I speak my truth.

I don't know what came of the Caroline what's her name thread because I hid it . I really wanted to try and understand what was happening there and try to offer insight and engage from the perspective of a woman in the police .

But I just can't get through the "your all bastards , Wayne cousins, watching me , agenda , trans rights , you're all bastards cos some forces are talking bollocks stuff .

I agree with most of everything but when I'm trying to engage and proffer my support all I get is you behaved badly because you said police should patrol at nigth and have the audacity to LOOK at a woman out at night . The. WC gets brought up like the majority of the police force men and women are some physical threat - when he was the absolute definition of exception not the rule.

I get insulted time and time again and I still tried . It's just turned me off the whole topic because no one will actually talk rationally with me .
And if I ask why all I will get is sulky replied about how police are all shit with some anti feminist agenda when I work in a drive that has never ever had that agenda - no stonewall training , no lanyards with rainbows or cars with stickers - yet when I say this is not my experience while respecting it may be yours - I get told I must be a man .

Last night I posted in a thread and asked what is the issue with police patrolling at night and looking at people who are out ?

Result : your behaved badly . You said it wasn't an issue . You said that's what police are meant to do . (It is actually! Police patrol at night because that's when most crime happens like burglary and car crime )

The reason I'm posting before anyone says something really witty like do t let the door hit your arse on the way out
Is because I wanted to engage and be included in chats that involve women . No
Matter what their job is . I have no trans agenda - I have always said and always believed you are born with either an x or a Y chromosome and that determines your skeletal frame , and your sex . And that cannot be changed.
I'm horrified by the tales here of thought police and wrong think .
I'm in that job and I could actually raise this . The more I learned the more ridiculous it seemed . But I can't even talk about it without jibes or civility.
The fwr board is really really hostile . As a woman I feel unwelcome to even discuss anything .
This will cause more offence and a round of fuck offs. But I really wanted to learn what the issues were around fwr and policing . Its like an exclusive club that no one can gain entry to unless you absolutely comply with the narrative- and I don't even know what it is !
I really wanted to try and understand and learn and possibly - possibly try to raise some of the issues from within .

Anyway - please please don't pile on - this is constructive criticism.
And I won't engage . I've hidden the fwr board now because I don't feel I can be included or add anything of value .

Please don't prove me right by being vindictive or abusive .

I just wanted to learn , help , engage.

I really wish you luck in what ever you hope to achieve .

I'm just gonna have to take a breath have a glass of wine and come back .

I truly didn't know this was happening.

it does defy all reason, doesn't it?
full marks for perseverance, I think it's fair to say we can all empathise with what you're going through.
You think you've heard it all and then read something else... Or youread that one thing you just can't agree with.

For me it was heterosexual men being allowed to 'be' lesbians if they want to be

Well - I've just taken part in a focus group for the college of policing and I raised these issues . Let's see if anyone listens!

Well done!

did anyone else show any signs of agreement or bring any similar issues up?

Thank you. The more of us who bring these things up, at work or in our kids schools, as service users or even just in friendship groups the better.

Funny but there were 6 of us - 4 men 2 women all with over 10 years service and we ALL said the same thing ! One old sweat detective got very ranty about work policing Grin
I think for every one new recruit coming in with a degree in interpretive dance (almost a joke!) there's many many more of us that are sick of it. It was basically a whinge fest for an hour BlushGrin

Woke policing not work

I raised some of the examples I've seen here .

The session was recorded and will be fed back to the college of policing.

One pc gave an example of where the college had given written advice that was completely and utterly incorrect.

We all said that woke policing is maki g a fool of us , and I brought up how political it's becoming when we should be neutral. We all brought up the Macarena. ! It was really good actually. The agent had said they were struggling to get police with over 5 years in service to participate- but we all had many years of experience to bring and none of us were afraid to be honest- (I think at one point the interviewer actually put his head in his hands Grin my guess is we were saying a lot that wasn't quite what they expected!

I also mentioned stonewall- and how certain organisations were using woke policing to their own agenda .

The older detective actually brought up trans agenda (see ! I really think the boots on the ground are mostly sick of this too ) although we still have had no affiliation to stonewall.

I brought up the statistics that our chief emailed to us about crime only accounting now for 17 % if calls for service .

I said that we should never be used as thought police for factions of society that might be offended and that offending someone is NOT a criminal offence and nor should be treated as one .

I really think we are all sick of the bad press and I said this politicisation of the police is making for a massive PR disaster.

We really did let them have it both barrels and we all said the same . I hope they get more older in service police to participate.

We all agreed that the new recruits coming in appear to be of quite poor standards, are afraid to get their hands dirty or say no , and many despite a degree cannot string a coherent sentence together on paper . I've even read text speak in a statement.

Blimey we really did have a whinge ! But I did very much focus on the issues I've read here too - we could have gone on for another hour .

I have another thread on this focus group but I thank you all for the education. It's been eye opening to at the least .

I'm a little aware of what I say as margaritapie has posted on my other thread about doxxing- I do value my anonymity so forgive me if I don't wax lyrical- I'm sticking to the facts . My personal opinions are obviously my own .
I've said we should not be politicised for anyones benefit. That woke policing is damaging our reputation because we should always be neutral and that crime is back and white - offending g people isnt a crime . I could go on but with the mention of doxxing I'm sticking to the facts .
But thanks for the info - it did inform and cement some of what we all said re being used in a political way that's not crime related. It was a great exercise and I enjoyed being able to feedback what I think we all knew just not to what extent.
X

And I want to say thanks for engaging with me - I know I was regarded with suspicion and I understand why. Now more than ever having been here and talked to you guys .

But thanks for having me . And thanks for chatting even if you did t completely trust me - I get why - but it has been truly enlightening. I wouldn't have believed some of this if I had t read it first hand .
What we all said today was recorded and is going back to the COP - whether they take note or not - who knows but at least we all said our piece .

Do you think police officers often have to do things they disagree with? I’m guessing it must be the case at times but have to wonder what they think when sent out to arrest someone in a case like that?

The answer is yes . We often have to do things we don't actually believe are right - but to be fair we need to investigate and either prove - or disprove an allegation - personally I do get sick and tired of being used in personal disputes.

I read the Caroline farrow debacle.

The police are often left in an impossible position - because when an allegation is made unless it can be immediately negated it means we re duty bound to investigate. I'm pretty sure Caroline will be exonerated. But police are used in this way often - not just this scenario- but custody disputes, he said she said scenarios all the time . Sadly we have to be impartial and investigate the allegations. We can't just take the word of people no matter how truthful they appear. Is sort of being impartial believe it or not . But I admit when inspectors in worst Yorkshire police are publicly declaring they are trans activists it's bloody worrying.
