Katie Price & victim blaming

Katie Price has been assaulted and has a "split eye".

However, the comments on Twitter are horrendous:

So many people calling her names, saying she probably deserved it because she's gobby etc.

Sorry, by "that night," I meant the night the police were called to the Essex house and a man was arrested.

It's always smoke and mirrors with Katie so who knows?

But I agree, it appears pretty cut and dried about the car crash.

Couldn’t agree more.

The ‘let’s offer kindness and support’ to someone that has been banned from driving 6 times because she has some unresolved trauma, to which she has been privileged enough to address and attain treatment and support but carry on with self and public abuse is not someone that should be glorified in the press. Like you say, she could have killed anyone’s family/friend on that road whilst under the influence and why.. “because she had a row with her partner”, I find it incredibly selfish.

Some people should not be in the public eye and I think she is one, all press is good press to her and the kink shaming of her ex husband and threats of revenge porn already gave me the ick about her but she just needs to focus on being better.

I fully support Katie getting the treatment she needs but I think it requires her conquering the obsession she appears (to me) to have of courting media attention and I just don't think she is willing to do that.
There is no justification for any of the unpleasant social media posts she (or anyone) receives, but I think it's only fair to point out that she has form for doing some of this herself.

She admitted she made the whole thing up and that her bruise was makeup.

No, she didn’t say why. It’s all very sordid and bizarre isn’t it?

So odd. Really makes me angry as a woman that’s experienced DA and had to fight to be prove it in the court and to see this, wow. Disgusting behaviour, she should be ashamed of herself. Why they’re still in a relationship I’ll never know, if someone lied that I’d hurt them and got me into legal trouble and tarnished my reputation I wouldn’t be marrying them.

Katie has gone through a lot and whilst she has an awful choice of boyfriends/partners no-one deserves to be treated that way. She’s great with Harvey and I love watching anything they do, it’s so lovely to see the bond they share.
