I know that you don't know me. I literally have nowhere else to go right now. Ihave used MN in the past but left. I can't link my other names or give clues. I am really sorry.

Just in need of some company.

Sorry.

How are you doing Sag? Do you want to talk or do you want distraction? You are SO doing the right thing coming on MN-keep reaching out.

Pozzled · 09/06/2010 21:46

Hmmm we need to find you some cheerier music!

SagacityNell · 09/06/2010 21:47

I don't mind prince, not in my itunes i must add but don't mind him.

Skipping lots of things. there must be something good on here somewhere!

welshgirlintherain - Is it the right thing to reach out here? I have hesitated for several days and kind of eased my way back in today. Had to reregister.

Si, you need a space for yourself... when you get there - you WILL come back - promise.

SilverBoots · 09/06/2010 21:50

Not 'si' meant 'so'

Pozzled · 09/06/2010 21:50

Definitely the right thing to reach out.

MrsSawdust · 09/06/2010 21:51

Your iTunes is trying to tell you you've got too many sad songs on there!

May I recommend funking it up with some Jill Scott or Angie Stone? Or for some old school soul sister stuff try Anne Peebles.

welshgirlintherain · 09/06/2010 21:52

I feel its really positive you are reaching out here-better than crawling into that corner no? Lots of people on here to listen...xx

SagacityNell · 09/06/2010 21:54

I do have cheerful stuff on there too. too many to trawl thru and make a list though lol!

Mumsnet has kept me sane, hop on & talk about ANYTHING.

MrsSawdust · 09/06/2010 21:55

Agree with others that you are doing the right thing coming on mn tonight.

People on here may be strangers but they are genuine.

SagacityNell · 09/06/2010 21:57

silver - believe me, in my former 'life' i did. It's just too damn hard now. Don't want to be linked on twitter or in the DM, nor do i want to be accused of being a troll or be found in RL. I think several people i know are MNetters.

TDiddy · 09/06/2010 21:58

thanks for the vote of confidence on Prince. What are your top 5 pop artists then?

SagacityNell · 09/06/2010 22:00

Tdiddy - my music tastes change daily i think

I listen to all kinds, dixie chicks, lady gaga, biffy clyro, plumb, lots of indie and chart songs i like too.I tend to prefer songs to artists if that makes sense?

OP posts:
Pozzled · 09/06/2010 22:04

I'm the same, I tend to have songs I like. Problem is, I hear them on the radio and never catch the title or artist. So if anyone asks my favourite I'll be 'oh, that one with the catchy chorus, it's a man, you know the one.'

MrsSawdust · 09/06/2010 22:04

By the way, I recommended those particular singers because they make me feel like a strong, sexy woman who can cope with anything and doesn't need a man to prop up my sense of self worth. (laughably cliched, I know, but it works for me when I feel un-cherished)

Pozzled · 09/06/2010 22:05

For instance- what's that recent biffy clyro one thats really catchy? Love that one. I've got youtube open at the moment!

TDiddy · 09/06/2010 22:07

SagacityNell - Lady Gaga i know, but i am struggling otherwise. I will dip in though. Gimme your top two songs in your head and I will try them on spotify. I keep laptop in the kitchen where i can usually be found. Instant music and where I hone my latest moves

TDiddy · 09/06/2010 22:07

Pozzled - we need a URL link please

SagacityNell · 09/06/2010 22:09

not necessarily uncherished, just not needed iyswim.

Its bloody hard to get thru a day when all you can think of is "if i run in the road will i get hit by that bus or will it stop?" or "If i pull the wheel when DH is driving, how can i make sure its just me that gets hurt?"

OP posts:
Pozzled · 09/06/2010 22:09

T Diddy I have this wonderful vision of you dancing around your kitchen now to 'Purple Rain' with a wooden spoon as a microphone.

welshgirlintherain · 09/06/2010 22:09

LOL Pozzled I do that too and will find myself singing (in a "name that tune" kind of way) 2 lines from a song to DH and harassing him to work out what the song is and who sings it and get very arsey when he can't work out what am singing (literally cannot hold a tune am tone deaf!) ! The DCs have been known to beg me to stop singing ramming their little hands over their ears !

SagacityNell · 09/06/2010 22:10

Biffy CLyro's new one is bubbles
