So sorry for you Snowkitten - please don't blame yourself, in no way is it your fault.

If it helps (and it probably won't), my sister was a heroin addict. She was living with me and I knew she had relapsed but could not face talking about it so went to bed feeling irate - at 3.30 in the morning I found her dead from an overdose. Do I blame myself? Not anymore. Do I regret her dying? Every single day ... but that doesn't make it my fault.

Wishing you all the love and support you need at this time - especially for your children.

I'm sorry snowkitten, I know nothing of you or your circumstances other than what I've read on this thread, but I do send my condolences. And please, as others have said, don't feel guilty, you're only human and it sounds as if you behaved more than reasonably when you found him at the bottom of the stairs. Take care.

Snowkitten, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember your previous thread but had lost track recently. Several people have asked whereabouts you are and I don't know if you don't want to say on here but you have mentioned your general location on the other thread so perhaps people who asked could check there. There are many people who would be happy to help you in this difficult time, please do take them up on the offer. I will say a prayer for your and your children.

Snow, I've only just seen this. I have been wondering how you were. I am so, so sorry, but please try not to blame yourself. Any of us would have been the same. Take care and I know DD will be fine, with you as her mum. Big hug.

thakn you all. I am getting there but it is very early days with so much to sort and cope with. dd is not acknowledging this at all. i told ds today and he was non-plussed as he is only 3.5. So terribly sad and confusing for us

Hope you are ok Snow. It will be hard for DD, because she'll be feeling bad about the times she shouted at her father. Is there a counselling service at her school? Someone outside the family she could talk to? She'll have a lot of mixed feelings and it's a lot for a 12 year old to deal with. But she's got you - she's lucky there.

What an utterly shocking turn of events. I am so sorry for your loss, snowkitten.
