feeling really poorly - sick. I'm never ever never sick but I feel like I am going to be. Feel really hot and thirsty, and it's making me feel panicky. I'm on my own with the two little ones, and I have a real phobia about being sick. I just worry i won't breathe and it makes me really panic.
My hands are all shaky now. I don't know what it making me feel sick- there are no bugs about.

haven't been sick for years.
Sorry i know I am a baby!

OP posts:
blissa · 07/08/2009 21:30

Hi moose

How long have you been feeling poorly? You're not a baby, I'm rubbish at being poorly, I alwyas worry it's more serious than it is.

mooseloose · 07/08/2009 21:33

Just the last hour, it's come on really quick. DH working away for weeks.
I just feel vunerable and worried I cant breath if I am sick. I am really teary now and can't breath. just getting myself in a silly state. cn't ring anyone cos they will think I am potty.

blissa · 07/08/2009 21:40

blissa · 07/08/2009 22:08

blissa · 08/08/2009 11:59

Hope you're feeling better today moose xx

YommyMommy · 09/08/2009 07:55

Hi Girls,

Moose - I hope u are feeling better! I hate being sick too! Post if u can n let us know u are okay!

How are u Blissa - have u done anything nice with ur weekend? Had dp managed to fix ur engine yet?

GentleOtter - I hope the anxiety starts to pass now that u don;t have to attend court anymore!

Morning - hope u finally got away on ur holidays???

How are u doing BTPOG? Hope ur weekend has been good and I hope u are feeling more positive!

My weekend has been good. Went to the nearby seaside town on friday night for tea (fish n chips) then to the amusments. We let DS3 take his bike and he cycled the length of the promonade n back! He had a ball! Never got up to much yesterday as the weather was so crap! It stopped raining in the afternoon for a while and DS got out to play, so he was happy!

Not sure what we are doing today! Maybe go to the park later to get the boys out for a while!

Hope u are all well!

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 09/08/2009 10:58

Morning,
Moose - where are you, I hope you are on the mend.
GentleOtter - I hope you are getting the support you need in RL to cope with the court stuff, anxiety is a totally natural reaction to that level of stress.
Yommy - the prom sounds great, I grew up at the seaside and miss the arcades and the seafront and the wide sandy beach alot

the last few days has been ok, I have just had to make sure i got through them, I booked far to much in for our first weekend home from holiday. Party here Thursday, Drove to friends for the day Friday, out friday night, BBQ here Saturday with my parents and Brothers family and now today.... we rest... I need to hibernate for a while - that level of social activity isn't great I find painting my happy face on for that long REALLY hard.

Anyway, the most we are going to do today is practice riding DS1's bike with no stabilisers.

back later ladies.

YommyMommy · 09/08/2009 12:25

Hi BTP,

Glag to hear u got through ur VERY busy weekend! No wonder u were feeling the pressure!

Good luck with DS on bike! Hope he doesn;t fall over too much! LEt us know how he gets on!

mooseloose · 09/08/2009 13:35

hello,

Am okay thanks. I felt so rough and horrid that I went to bed. Drank loads of water and wasn't sick.

Still got sicky feeling today but not that bad that i think I will.

I really got myself in a tizz about it, which just made it all the worse. If DH had been here I wouldn't have been like it. But I panic about sick anyway without anxiety issues added to the mix too! I just didn't know what to do, hence I posted on here.

Am just having quiet day. DCs at mother in laws for day.

Sorry i worried you all. x

candyfluff · 09/08/2009 15:16

glad your ok moose,im the same when it comes to being sick ,i cant stand it !!!
feeling a bit weird today - like i have a cold or something coming ,throat feels tight and my voice is gravely ,maybe its just the anxiety ?
no idea
im going back to gp this week about the on going pains around my ribs
i have notice that when im more anxious the worse it gets but just want some reassurance that its normal. it can get very painful and scary
think i need to back on my acid reflux pills too.
sorry that turned in to a right whinge!!

how has everyone elses weekend been?

blissa · 09/08/2009 16:28

Hi all

Glad you're on the mend moose! Hope you've had a restful day without your dcs- very of that by the way!

Your day yesterday sounds lovely Yommy, did you get to the park?

How did your ds get on without his stabilisers Greyskull? You have had a busy week! Glad you can have a few chilled out days now.

Sorry you're not feeling too well Candy, I hope it clears up quickly.

We've not been up to much, still no car! Dp has been in a bad mood for the past couple of days, he really didn't think it would take this long! Took the dcs to the park with my friend and her dcs yesterday but when we got there they just whinged that it was too hot and they were thirsty! Has been hot again today and I have managed to get all the beds washed. The dcs rode their bikes out the front while I did some weeding and now dd1 is helping me to cook a roast

mooseloose · 09/08/2009 21:33

mmmmm I missed a roast today. Am going to cook mine tomorrow. Its the yorkie puds and roasties that are the best and important bits, oh and thick gravy!

Have just been out and run 5 miles. x

OP posts:
candyfluff · 10/08/2009 13:53

5 miles -you must be so fit!!! well done you xx

been to the gp today for some acid reflux tablets ,have had it before so painful!!!
asked the gp if chest pain with the overbreathing i do is normal and he said yes it so its settled my mind a bit ,have my next appointment with cbt on wednesday,i have no idea if its helping tbh some days im fine and others it really gets me down.
dh is off work for 2 weeks agrhhhhhhh
cant stand him being here, he just gets on mynerves and piss's the kids off.

blissa · 10/08/2009 16:41

Wow moose you really put me to shame! When the dcs go back to school I am definately going to get fit (remind me of this come September and give me a kick up the bum!)

Glad the gp put your mind at rest Candy. Are there any jobs you can find your dh to do whle he's off, to stop hime getting under your feet?!

The girls have a friend staying over, she is my best friends dd and this is the first time she's stayed. Atm they're all playing nicely upstairs, please let it continue! Ds is sat downstairs watching Ice Age, think he feels a bit outnumbered! Been to Tesco this morning, only had £40 and managed to get everything I needed. Hopefully dp will get a run out to Holland or somewhere this week, now he has finally finished the car!

Hi to Yommy and Greyskull xx

mooseloose · 10/08/2009 22:36

Had my roasties and yorkie puds. Yum.

We've been to town and got school shoes. Very quiet (and odd). Didn't have to queue in Clarks long at all.

candyfluff, my chest has hurt before from breathing. It easily gets into a habit, and hard to break. Counsellor questionned me why I was breathing like that!

5 miles is not far enough to run! I need to be doing one long run, about 8 to 10 once a week, and 5 - 6 miles every other day. Great North Run is approaching very fast!

Am managing 5 every other day. Have lost more weight, and ran in shorts the other night cos my legs looked slim! Usually wear knee length run tight things - but its way too hot! But they do act like slimming pants!

OP posts:
blissa · 11/08/2009 20:51

I am about to lose it big time with my ds. He is yet again refusing to go to bed. Keeps getting up, shouting and spitting. Has wet himself. He has come down stairs a few times and I keep putting him back but he just comes back down. Atm he is sat on the floor behind me, I have turned off the tv and thought maybe if I just ignore him he will go back up, so far this plan is failing. Dp won't be back for a while.

I don't know what to do with him anymore, I keep yelling and all the windows are open, it must sound awful. It's not nice for the girls, at least while he is down here he is not screaming and keeping them awake, but he is getting his own way. I hate bedtimes, how can this little 3 year old make me feel so useless

mooseloose · 11/08/2009 22:43

Oh Dear Blis! is he in bed now?

My 7 year old rules the roost. has done since day one. Grumpy stuborn little so and so.
I find if I ignore him he cries with upset and will eventaully come for a cuddle and be carried up. He doesn't like being ignored.

Mine were late in bed cos insisted looking for the meteors. So i haven't had a sit down or a cuppa until now tonight!

I been yelling too!! ds14 and mate banging my flowers in garden with football. My other ds's and a neighbour on trampoline trying out shout each other. God knows what neighbours think. Then pandemonium broke out cos grumpy ds threw middle ds croc sandle over next doors, and then the other went missing too! I yelled a bit more and told them no tea until found. Have a got the pair back now!

OP posts:
blissa · 11/08/2009 22:55

Aren't kids great moose?!

Ds is asleep on the sofa, has been for about an hour. Waiting for dp to come home and carry him up, he said he'd be home ages ago. I just want to go to bed, got be up and out early as dd2 has an appointment with the orthoptist at 9am and for some reason it's at a different hospital, further away.

Am so tired. Was chatting to my next door neighbour today and she told me her dd is pregnant with her second child, she already has a 4yo ds who plays with my ds. She is 10 weeks. Later it dawned on me that she is due at roughly the same time I would have been. Has made me feel a bit funny. I don't regret our decision, I know it had to be done, but I can't help thinking I terminated the dcs brother or sister.

God I'm in one tonight, hope you're ok moose xx

YommyMommy · 12/08/2009 09:51

Morning Girls,

How are u all??? Feel like I've npt been n here for ages!

Blissa, sound like u are having a right old time with ur DS at the moment! I guess he doesn;t act like that when DP is around at bedtime! If that was my DS he would have been in bed with a sore butt! Not saying that u should smack DS, just what I would do! Does that make me sound like a terrible mum?

I had had a good couple of days! My living room is fianlly finished, Woo Hoo! Vast improvment on what we had before! And even better I don;t have to worry about things getting spiled of the floor

My sister is up visiting for York at the moment so have a week of fun with her and her LOs!

Was justa quick check in before I get the boys ready!

Hope everyone is well!
Speak soon x x x

blissa · 12/08/2009 13:13

Sorry for moaning last night!

Ds did get a smack last night Yommy, but it does no good with him and then I just feel like I've lost it. He's about the same when dp is here.

Feel knackared today. Was out early with dd2, her eyes are doing well, she has another check up in 3 months. Been to the park with them on their bikes.

Glad your living room is all done Yommy, bet it feels lovely it being all tidy and fresh. Good to hear you're having a nice week with your sister.

Ds has MMR booster this afternoon- should be fun!

Hope everyone else is ok xx

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 12/08/2009 17:25

Hi all,
not been ignoring you all, t'internet has been down since sunday night aarrrrggghh

Blissa - sorry you are having a hard time with your DS - we go through phases of good behaviour and bad, the one thing is for certain is that just when you think you have things sussed, they change the rules. this will pass, hopefully sooner rather than later We have smacked DS1 about 3 times in the last 6 years - each time it has seemed to make things worse rather than better [argh]

Yommy - good to hear that your living room is finished, it is great having a place of calm to relax at home hope yu are having fun with your sister.

Moose - do you have 14 DS's??? bloomin' heck woman you are amazing

Candy - hope the treatment is helping for your reflux.. and that your CBT session went well.

I had my regular session today, managed to get some things cleared up that worried me from last week, I was really anxious, she had said to me that she wanted to focus on dealing with my family issues rather than being raped, i took that to mean that after looking at the details of what happened to me she had decided that it wasn't really worth bothering about - this is something I have been worried about - making a fuss about nothing.
Anyway she didn't mean that - she meant that we need to build confidence foundatoins before we can deal with the other stuff.. I get that now.
We also talked about my feelings regarding my friends suicide..

got a few more days now without the boys, need to make some calls and juggle tomorrow, have double booked too many things.

Hi to everyone - sorry if I have missed anyone.

YommyMommy · 12/08/2009 17:50

Hello Again Girls,

Blissa - Sorry if you thought I was having a go at you about moaning - as that was never my intention! Thats what were are hear for to listen to each other on the good days AND the bad! Hope DS has been behaving himself today! Send him up to Scotland for some tough love! lol! I am only joking! I am really a big softy when it comes to the boys, luckly for me they are not tantrum throwers! My niece is a nightmare - not sure how my sister puts up with is as she is more strick with her kids than I am with mine!

Hi BTP - U made me laugh out loud with ur comment about a Moose having 14 DS, lol! I think she was meaning DS 14 yrs old! lol! I'm sure she only had 3 DC! On a more serious note I am glad you got things sorted with your therapist! Do u now feel more possitive about it??? Where have boys gone???

Had a nice day out shopping today! Had no money to buy anything other than lunch for me n boys, but it was nice to spend time out of the house!

Candy - how is ur time with DH going? They cn be a total pain when you are used to being in your own routine with the kids!

Hi to everyone else!

blissa · 12/08/2009 18:54

Oh Yommy I didn't think you were having a go at me! I just knew I was a moany cow last night, I was in such a bad mood I took myself off to bed when dp got in as I knew if I stayed up we'd fall out! Glad you had a nice lunch out.

Sounds like you had a good session today Greyskull. What your therapist said about building up confidence before dealing with deeper issues makes a lot of sense. It's good that she explained that to you. Where have your ds's gone?

Ds was absolutely fine with his jabs, no tears at all! He even got a sticker saying "I've been good today" hahahaha. Going to put him up to bed in a minute, he says he's tired. Still waiting for dd2 to finish her shepherds pie, she's only been sat at the table for nearly an hor so bloody fussy!

blissa · 12/08/2009 18:55

hour not hor
