Hi girls, i have started a new thread for us all. The other was too long. Hope you all find it.

Sorry to hear the cinema didn't go aswell as you'd hoped Candy. I agree with Yommy that maybe having the kids with you might have made it more difficult. Well done for going though and for sticking it out until the end.

I'm sure the trip tomorrow will be fine, will having your dh there help at all?

Glad you got a good night last night Yommy, hopefully you will tonight too. Do you still have 4 children to look after? My friend just dropped round with his 2 dcs and in the hour they were here the 4 of them managed to trash 2 bedrooms! My 2 are now sat quietly, eating crisps and watching Ice Age 2!

mooseloose · 04/08/2009 18:44

Well, do you know I didn't get into bed any earlier by the time I had faffed about. Grrr. Had migraine today and been really sleepy aLL day. DS3 is sooooo grumpy and nasty and argumentative today he is drivin me mad. Have been sorting their bookcase and DVds out. Am still in cleanin mode!

Pouring rain all day too.

YommyMommy · 05/08/2009 07:46

Hi Girls,

Good luck today Candy! I hope u are okay! Sending feel good vibes ur way!!!! Where are u all going?

Hope u managed to get an early night last night Moose?! Hope DS3 is in a better mood today! How are u managing with DH away?

Blissa - hope u are well! I was babysitting til 3.30 tomorrow, but wasn't too bad as all the kids went out to play!

Greyskull - hope ur day went okay yesterday! Are u having ur chilling day today?

Morning - have u gone ur holidays yet? lol!

The weather looks like its going to be quite nice today! I finished painting my living room last night after DS2 went to bed :D Going to do the hall today then all the painting will be finished! All we need to do now is get someone to put the flooring down! Had someone up yesterday and he quoted £140 I though that was double the price it should be!

I am going to get a shower just now, DS has been up since 5.30. So this is going to b a long day, but I will make the most of it and get things done!

Hope u are all well!

blissa · 05/08/2009 18:15

Hi girls

I think it was today morning was off to France?

That's great that you got your painting finished Yommy. at the price to have the floor done but tbh I have no idea how much it would cost! Hope your long day has been ok, will your ds go to bed earlier as he was up so early?

Hope your day trip went well Candy.

I've had a busy day although the I never bothered to dress the dcs! I'm just in scruffy gear as we've been tidying. Feel knackared but at least the house looks better. Dp is changing the engine on my car so I am carless for a few days, we're going to go over to a friends house tomorrow and have to get 2 buses there. The dcs will love it but I'm not really sure what buses I need, aarrgghh!

Hope moose and Greyskull are ok xx

YommyMommy · 05/08/2009 20:41

Hey Blissa,

DS2 never went to bed any earlier as I didn;t want to risk him getting up at 5.30 again, lol! My day has actually been fine! I managed so paint the skirting and door ways in my hall, so just have the walls to do in the hall now and it will be all done! We are getting the flooring in the livingroom done on monday - so looking forward to just having it all done! Its a nightmare trying to keep the house tidy just now as everything is everywhere!

Hope ur bus trips are okay tomorrow! I am desparate to take my DS1 on a train to glasgow, but would be so scared incase I freaked out! Can't really do PT at the moment and then having a busy city at the other end is just a no, no!

Going off to bed now as its pouring down here just now and for a change DS1 is in early!

Hope everyone else is well!

P.S. Blissa, what do u expet to get ur results back? x x x

blissa · 05/08/2009 20:52

Do you mean when Yommy? I'm not sure some within a couple of weeks but could be up to 6 weeks before they're all back. If you did mean what I really don't know. I don't want to have something and then possibly have to go back onto warfarin for the rest of my life, on the other hand, if I don't have anything I then don't have a reason for the PE. I don't know, will just have to wait and see.

I have thought about taking the kids on the train into London but am a bit scared of doing it. The station is literally round the corner! I don't do PT full stop, which is bad as they would love to go places on the bus or train, it's just always easier to get in the car!

Hope you get a good nights sleep and a not so early morning!

blissa · 05/08/2009 20:53

some within a couple of days*

morningsun · 05/08/2009 23:30

Hi girls ~ sorry not posted due to obsessive packing lol,a fall out with dh then today you'll NEVER guess what happened!
We were an hour into the journey when the car broke down and we had a jolly few hours on the dual carriageway roadside waiting for the RAC!!
They couldn't fix it and so had to be towed home and wait for a taxi!!
Fun day ...but the kids were great about it.
Just to top it off I was desperate for a wee, wandered down to see if there was anywhere suitable not visible from the road and fell into a load of mud and nettles~I was stung all over lol!

So we have missed the ferry and now waiting to see if we can get the car fixed tomorrow!

blissa~I'm so glad you've had the tests done already, information is good to work out what to do next...hope it is the best results for you

yommy~can't believe you can decorate with your little ones~good on you ~I found it tough just getting all the socks ironed lol

candy ~hope your trip went well

Bythepower glad you enjoyed your holiday and thanks for your best wishes for the holiday

well,on the plus side,at least we are packed!
thought I was too organised this morning!
xx

YommyMommy · 06/08/2009 12:40

we morning I can;t believe that happened to you! What a shame u missed the ferry! Will u still get to go??? Thats a total nightmare! I really hope u get everything sorted out!

Blissa, I was meaning when, lol! Hope ur trip to ur friends goes well today! How far away from London do u live? I would love to take the kids there, but they are a little too young to appriciate the sites, etc! Although I think they would both have a ball at hamleys! lol!

Candy, how was ur day yesterday?

Hi to everyone else!

I had a fab sleep last night! DS slept from 8 last night til 5.30, up for a bottle, then back over til 7.30! Can complain at that! I have been doing some more painting this morning. DS has still to go for his nap then I will get it finsihed! Still in my jammies as I don;t want to get paint on ma clothes. Will get a shower once I am finsihed. Weather is gorgeous uo here today, DS1 out playing! And to top it all off dh is home tonight! Not sure how long for, but happy even if its just for a few nights!

Just going to hang my washing out. Speak soon x x x

YommyMommy · 06/08/2009 12:41

Re sons sleeping should have been can't compain at that! Oops!

morningsun · 06/08/2009 13:33

nice to hear you sound so happy yommy

trying to rearrange travel lol~Brittany ferries were good~you can transfer sail time free of charge!

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 06/08/2009 14:16

morning sun, sorry things haven't run smoothly but once you are there with a glass of vino it will all beworth it

Yommmy things sound positive
Hi to Blissa & Candy & moose.

Sorry to moan, things aren;t good here at the moment, during my session on wednesday we were talking about my friends partner who committed suicude last week, the main thing I feel about it is sadness, sadness and envy that he has succeeded and it reminded me that there is yet another thing I have failed at
If I had succeeded I wouldn't have to try to work out all the shit with my mother, I wouldn't have to face tryign to change my life... it is just so DF789ing hard and I don't know that I have the strength to do it.

I am not saying that I am feeling like ending it all - more that it has made me remember all the reasons I felt I shouldn't be here a year ago and that not many of them have changed.

better go, have got to tidy round DH is bringing 9 colleagues home from work for a BBQ I need to paint on my happy face. Just needed to let it out

morningsun · 07/08/2009 00:42

Bythepower~thanks I know!I've been ok about the holiday ~since I felt low with the anxiety/ptsd a couple of years ago I don't see that anything will ever be so bad again so I just take the attitude that whatever life throws at me,I will cope with.

I would never have believed that I would feel good like this back then, and I hope you can get some relief soon~I really feel for you.How long ago were you diagnosed with the ptsd and do you think your therapist is helping you?

I'm trying to help my dd as much as I can atm to get her mood a bit brighter and give her a bit more confidence~she is a star really, she just has so many feelings to cope with atm.

Hi to everyone~candy,blissa,moose,yommy

xx

YommyMommy · 07/08/2009 07:56

Morning Girls,

Hope u are all well!

Bythepower - I for one am glad u failed at ending it all last year, as if ou had suceeded then I would never have known u! I was just looking at ur pics and ur children and just beautiful!!!! Changing ur life will be difficult, but I'm sure u will get there in the end! U are a woman and woman can do anything Jut take one day at a time with the rest of us! We will always be here on the bad days to chat - and the good ones! Hope things are feeling a little brighter today! How did the BBQ go last night?

Morning, have u got the holiday sorted yet?

Hi to everyone else!

Yommy- thanks for being so kind.

YommyMommy · 07/08/2009 10:32

Morning Greyskull!

So glad u are feeling brighter today!!!

Do u have anything nice planned for the day? I think the weather will be nice again for us today! Can but hope! I am hoping that DH is going to take DS's to visit Grandma to let me fill in some job applications! I would love to be a SAHM, but I hate being skint!!

Going to tidy up a little while DS2 is having a nap!

blissa · 07/08/2009 11:06

Hi Girls

Oh morning what a start to your holiday! I hope it is all sorted and that you are or will be on your way soon.

My bus trip went really well thank Yommy, the dcs loved it and dd2 couldn't believe you don't have to wear seatbelts on a bus! She asked if the police drove past and saw them without seatbelts, would the driver get into trouble. We live about 20 miles from London, but I've never been there on my own with the dcs. I hate driving through it. Did you get another good night? How long is your dh home for? What kind of applications are you doing?

I am sorry to hear about your friends dp Greyskull, and that it has affected you so much. Like Yommy I am also glad that you didn't succeed, you are a very brave lady and I hope that you can find some peace soon. I'm glad you are feeling brighter this morning, hope the bbq went well.

blissa · 07/08/2009 11:10

I haven't heard anything about my results yet so I am asuming they haven't found anything positive yet. It's a pretty dull day here, just spending it at home. Dp is still doing the engine on my car, it is a harder job than he thought! I haven't got any money to go anywhere anyway so my day will probably be spent refereeing!

GentleOtter · 07/08/2009 11:16

Can I ask a question please?

Could an extremely traumatic event which has happened in the last couple of days (cross examination in court) have triggered off a severe anxiety reaction and a feeling like being made of broken glass?

I have not taken medication as I had to stay alert for court (I have to back in this afternoon) but I feel like I'm losing the plot and cannot concentrate on anything.

Thank you.

blissa · 07/08/2009 12:08

Hi GentleOtter, hope you are ok.

Yes traumatic events can trigger anxiety. Is it possible that the cross examination has brought back memories and triggered an emotional response?

I hope this afternoon goes ok for you

candyfluff · 07/08/2009 15:48

hi all
the trip to the seaside went really well ,coach trip was long but i managed it ok,the kids had such fun at the beach and on the amusements, there were a few moments i thought i was going to get anxoius but they soon passed, very tired and was glad to get home and to bed !!!

sorry to hear that you tried to take your life greyskull ,my sister had tried twice.you are so brave ,it will all be better in time xxx

sorry to hear you missed your ferry morning - did it make you anxious that it all didnt go to plan?

hi blissa,mousse and yommy

hope your ok gentle otter

GentleOtter · 07/08/2009 20:55

Many thanks.

All sorts of strange things have occurred eg something akin to a tiny explosion going off in my head which left me dizzy and disorientated for a moment (in Asda) plus dreams and shaking.

I don't have to attend court any more but have to wait a few weeks for the outcome and my CPN is going to visit next week.

blissa · 07/08/2009 21:00

Sorry it has affected you like this GentleOtter. How are you feeling now?

I hope this afternoon went well x
