Hi girls, i have started a new thread for us all. The other was too long. Hope you all find it.

blissa ~that's good news that you are feeling better

For the first time ever I might get a new hyundai car,on the scrappage scheme as my car is from 1998 and done 118,000 miles lol.

Yommy ~ we used to do that with our youngest, carry him through when he was asleep,he did adapt but sometimes you just go with the easiest thing and whatever makes them happy lol.

I find the teenagers a challenge though ~they are off at a festival this weekend[ds' band are playing lol] ~peace and quiet!

dd is nearly 16 but she has been ill as I mentioned before, and she has some emotional problems because of that~it's sad cos she has always been so happy but I try not to think about it too much,I'm sure she'll come thru in the end.She had blood results today and her iron stores were low so maybe that's affecting her mood a bit

anyway that's enough waffling lol hope you all ok

xx

YommyMommy · 31/07/2009 20:32

Hello again,

MIL was just on holiday down south, blissa. I was just picking her up from the airport. Her flight was delayed, but got her in the end! Glad to hear ur tummy has settled down now!

I am going to try put DS in his own bed tonight! Wish me luck girls!

Hope you are all having a nice evening! I am off for an early night!

blissa · 31/07/2009 20:55

Good luck yommy

I've just had the most horrendous 2 hours with my ds. I put him to bed after telling him 3 times that I would do so if he kept on kicking me. He has pinched, bit, spat and hit me whilst trying to get his pjs on. Refused to get into bed, opened his curtains, stripped off, gone into the bathroom to help himself to a glass of water, thrown things around the room, and screamed his head off. He is finally settling with a very red, sweaty and snotty face! I'm exhausted! My poor dds are sitting here waiting for it to be quiet enough for them to go up.

I think low iron could be a possible reason for your dds mood morning (not claiming any medical knowledge here) just that I know if I feel tired and not 100% my mood is certainly affected. How exciting about your new car. I think the scrappage scheme is a good idea, shame we don't qualify for it!

YommyMommy · 01/08/2009 14:39

Hi Girls,

I am so tired today. My DS2 seen every hour last night and then decided to get up at 6.30. DS1 was up 15 mins later crying for the cartoons to be put on! Argh!

I am cutting right down on DS2 nap times today in a bid to try to get him to sleep better tonight, this is a tough day I have been at morrisons already this morning and we have a b'day party at 4.15! Can see it far enough already!

Sorry for just coming on here to moan!

I hope you are all having a good Saturday!

blissa · 01/08/2009 15:48

You poor thing yommy, why do they do it to us?

Hope the party goes well and you get a bit of a break from them while they are occupied.

My 3 are screaming their heads off and fighting. We have baked brownies today, so there was a bit of peace for 20 minutes!

YommyMommy · 01/08/2009 20:54

Thanks Blissa, well I have made it through the day Boys had a great time at the party. DS2 tucked up in bed. He was shattered, I only let him have 2 fairly short naps today so fingers crossed for a slightly better sleep tonight!

Hope ur DS went to bed okay for you tonight? Has he been giving you are hard time today? By the way I totally love brownies! Send some my way! lol!

Morning, hope ur dc are having a good time at the festival! Are you missing them??

Hi to everyone else! Hope you are all having a nice evening!

mooseloose · 02/08/2009 13:57

hellooooo I am back!

i have just caught up with the old posts.

We had a really nice hol in Cornwall but it went sooo quickly I can't believe it. the weather was a bit mixed but we were still on beach most days, and we are all quite tanned too. We also did a bit of walking. But I think the weather is the worst I remember it as. managed to a lot of surfing (well, body boarding!)

We too went to see harry Potter on a rainy day - we were all squashed in like sardines! I thought it was funny that there was an interval in the middle. I was a bit breathy in there, but it passed.

We got back yest but have spent a manic 24 hours washing to get ds off to camp today. DH goes away to work tomorrow too - 7 weeks . I hope I will be okay. So I will have a week of just the 2 little ones here. So I plan do de clutter the house and their bedrooms, and try to chill a bit. I may need some cyber chat to help me though!

Bliss hope you are okay, brave girl. Hope everyone else is too. x

Please make me STOP IRONING KNICKERS!!

YommyMommy · 02/08/2009 20:43

Hi Girls!

Moose - Glad you are back and sounds like you had a wonderful holiday! Where has DS gone camping? Thats a shame about ur hubby! We will get each other through as mine is away just now too!

Candy - thats fantastic news about ur weekend! I am so please there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Morning - When are you leaving? I can't believe you iron knickers, lol! U are mad!!!

Blissa - hope ur weekend has been good?!

My day has been mad today! I have gutted half my house and lifted my living room carpet. I even managed to cook sunday roast, lol! Think I'd put some of those slatterns to shame

My DS2 seen every hour again last night so I have been on edge with my anxiety most of the weekend I think I am auto pilot at the moment. I just keep thinking something awful is going to happen at any moment! Feel like I have taken a few steps backwards recently

Going to try to get to bed tonight to watch wife swap on 4+1 at 9! Put DS2 down at 8 and thats him up crying already! Hope its not a sign of things to come tonight

Better go see to him!
Goodnight girls x x x

blissa · 03/08/2009 10:23

Morning all

Great to have you back moose! Sounds like you had a lovely holiday, I'm glad the weather was ok. 7 weeks is a long time for your dh to be away, but I'm sure you will be fine.

I hope ds2 didn't have you up too much yommy. How old is he? Is he teething or anything? How are you getting on with the decorating? My brownies weren't bad for a first attempt!

How is the packing going morning? I've been following a thread in GH about people who don't iron anything! It's certainly opened my eyes and I've changed the way I wash things. My iron is broken and I need a new ironing board but we don't have the extra cash to replace them, there is a huge pile of ironing upstairs and I'm determined not to let it get any bigger!

Good to hear you've had a good weekend candy, I think Greyskull is still on holiday

blissa · 03/08/2009 10:31

Had a lovely day yesterday. Actually managed to cook a nice roast dinner! We took the dcs for a walk around some lakes and they were able to paddle in the water. They got soaked and we had to strip them off and take them home in the car naked! Next time I'm going to get them some fishing nets and take jam jars for them to catch fish.

Ds has been a little bit better, I let dp put him to bed over the weekend . He messed around a bit, but nothing like friday night.

Going to take the dcs to the park in a bit and then come home and pick some of the plums on our tree. I tried one this morning and it was lovely. Only problem is I don't have a ladder so will have to see how many I can reach standing on a chair!

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 03/08/2009 11:46

Morning all

I'm back - in one piece :-) been thinking about you all,
Blissa, good to see you sound brighter, you have been amazing!

Yommy - I find that exhaustion certainly makes my anxiety worse.. I hope you get some respite soon

Candy - Cinema sounds great - what did you see, you are sounding really bouyant at the moment!

MorningSun - hope you have a fabulous time in France I wish we could move there, I know it wouldn't be the same as having a holiday there but life seems to be so much more compatible with my way of thinking.

Moose - good to hear you had a good holiday - cornwall is a beautiful place indeed, what was Harry potter like? worth going??

SO back from hols, not much washing to do because I was so worried about having to do it all when we got back I spent the last couple of days of holidays doing it all there, had a lovely time, drank too much, ate too much but remembered to take my trainers so even though I fell over and really sprained my ankle I took lots of stout walks on my own in the early evening. That certainly helped my sanity as well as my waist line.

back later, need to buy food as the house is empty!!

blissa · 03/08/2009 13:20

Hi Greyskull, good to have you back and sounding positive. Your holiday sounds lovely, where did you go?

I feel a lot better thankyou. Think I'm going to go for by blood tests tomorrow eeek!

I've just got back from town, had to get dp a present as it's his birthday on Wednesday. Also had to get my sister a card, her birthday is today and she lives in Spain! oops, it'll get there eventually!

YommyMommy · 03/08/2009 20:12

Hi Girls,

Sounds like you are all well!

I am totally exhausted just now. I went to homebase this morning and bought paint. So have been painting all day as well as looking after dc! My DS2 has been such hard week these past few weeks! I think his teeth are coming through. He is 9 months old! He just moans, n moans, n moans.........

I am going to make a cup of tea and enjoy a packet of reeces pieces before I go to bed!

Glad u had a fab holiday greyskull.

Blissa - hope ds has a brilliant birtday tomorrow! What are u getting him??? Sounds like u had a wonderfl day yesterday

Hope u are all having a nice evening!

lavender sheets -sounds lush xxx

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 04/08/2009 09:13

Morning all,

Why do I do it to myself? I could have had a chilled relaxed day with the boys, but I say yes to things and then all of a sudden today is blocked out from 9.30am till late afternoon.
I don't want to do it. I want us to have fun existing together... stay in our PJ's eat what we want when we want. - Be in control

My blood has been racing since I woke up.. trying to stay calm, trying not to get cross with the boys for MY decisions - it isn't their fault.

candy hope you have a fab time watcing Ice Age - we went just before holiday and both boys totally loved it.

moose how were the lovely lavender sheets?

blissa · 04/08/2009 10:43

What does your day involve Greyskull? I hope it goes ok for you and that you can have a nice relaxing day tomorrow.

Enjoy the cinema Candy, my 3 love the Ice Age films, haven't seen the 3rd one yet.

It's dps birthday tomorrow Yommy, I got him a couple of T-shirts and some pants, very exciting!

Hope you had a lovely nights rest in your lavender sheets moose. Reminds me I really should change our bed!

Hope the packing is going ok morning.

I've already been to the hospital this morning, it was so busy! They took 7 bottles of my blood, hopefully I'll have some results soon. Dd1 has gone off to a friends for the day so I just have the little ones. I'm going to try and find a recipe for banana cakes to use up some very brown bananas lurking in the fruit bowl and then hopefully get out and pick the plums we didn't pick yesterday, if it stops raining that is

YommyMommy · 04/08/2009 14:11

Hi Girls,

I am finally having a good day :D. DS slept from 8 til 7.30 this morning only waking once in the night! Woo Hoo!

Just as well as I have 4 dc today and have been on the phone all morning trying to sort out my tax credits! The mind boggles as to how their systems work! Argh!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry Blissa, I thought I read DS birthday! I hope dp has a nice day then, lol! 7 viles of blood sounds like a lot! I hope ur results are all positive!

Greyskull, Hope ur morning has been okay! U will be glad you have done what u had to do and will feel better for it later!

Check u candy, cinema twice in on week! lol! Well done! I went to see ice age with ds a few weeks ago, but was a little disapointed with it to be honest as I loved the first 2!

Morning, how is the ironing of the knickers coming along? lol! When do u go? Wish it was me

My boys have gone out for a little while for a walk with one of the older girls in the street so going to make a cup of tea and enjoy my 5 mins of peace n quiet.

Speak soon x x x

how's everyone else's day going ?

YommyMommy · 04/08/2009 15:36

Hi Candy,

Sorry to hear ur days isn;t going as well as u hoped! It will jut be a blip! I find thats sometimes when I goes places I am fine then other times I am panicing horribly! Next time u go you wil be fine. Plus u had the added pressure of having the kids with u and its a lot harder to just get up n go when u have to expalin urself to them too!

Where are u going tomorrow. Not sure i could face a coach trip either. I even took my car on DS nursery trip and just used the excuse that I have to take younger DS too and it was easier to take his pram, etc! But really I just didn;t want to go on the bus! . U however will be fine!
