hi girls have a good night i am off to bed so that i do not have a attack feel like its playing up.ohh i cannot live like this.

YommyMommy · 14/01/2010 12:38

Morning Girls,

Snowing here for us - I know I am mad, but I love it!!!!!!!! Not very heavy although its been on all morning.

Thanks for the hug mumof2000, feeling better this morning. I had a really sore throat last night n just felt horrible. My throat is still a little sore, but has been getting worse at night last two nights - ooch!! How are you???

Kurves - hope you get a beter sleep last night! The anxiety will alm down, honest! I have learned to live with it so I get by. Would rather not have it right enough, but while it hangs around I'll just deal!!

Had to take DS2 to for his MMR this morning He cried a little buts was fine. Just glad its over and done with. This afternoon have to take DS1 to register him for school

Went to tesco AGAIN! I might as well move in there, lol! Got the star wars stuff for DS b'day. Just as well I went back in as helmet was £10 cheaper than it was on line SO its all up the loft until the big day, lol!

Hope you are well Blissa - and anyone else!

Speak soon x x x

blissa · 14/01/2010 13:34

Yommy you should have shares in Tescos just think of all those clubcard points you'll get! Glad you're feeling better today. Does your ds start school in september?

I hope your dad is ok mumof2000, how scary for you all. My neighbour had a toe amputated a while ago and was back on his feet very quickly.

Hope you are feeling better today kurves. We have all been where you are atm. You can beat this. I don't think anxiety ever goes away, but you can learn to control it rather than it controlling you. I often get anxiety symptoms (heart racing, breathless) over little things but I can control them so it doesn't esculate. I've just had to accept that I am an anxious sort!

Got ds at home today. His pre-school is open, but he was up during the night with a temperature and a headache. I've just put him up to bed for a nap.

No more snow today -yay! It's been raining so alot of the white stuff has been washed away

kurves · 14/01/2010 18:39

yommymummy they have the star wars annual books for 1 pound in sainsburys. my son loves star wars the clone wars you name it so i feel your pain. I have a love affair with super market so i know your drama. had a good day today cause i drove the boys to school well one the other one school was not open so i felt good getting out of the house.

Bliss HOPE Your little one feels better soon i know what your going through thanks for the advice on the anxiety i will be going to the gym tomorrow and i read some where that helps boy i could laugh about this some times i cannot drink any caffeine no alcohol no cakes and stuff and easy on salt as i have found that it all starts the anxiety off well i should be healthy by the end of the year. have a great eve ling girls

blissa · 14/01/2010 19:30

blissa · 14/01/2010 20:38

You are such a brave, brave lady Greyskull.

I am so pleased that you have found someone you trust enough to talk to. She sounds like a wonderful lady and I am sure that by working together she will help you to find peace.

You have fantastic replies to your thread, I hope you find them supportive and reassuring about the way you are feeling.

Just want to give you a big ((((hug))) really

YommyMommy · 14/01/2010 20:40

Evening Girls,

Mumof2000 we both posted at the same time last night and I never seen your post til later on today! Sorry to hear about yor dad! I hope he has a speedy recovery! Hope you are okay too!!! Loved your idear about the imagineray circle of MN friends in tesco getting me through, lol!

Kurves, glad you felt better getting out of the house today!!! Hope the rest of your day has been good too! We don;t have any sainsburys near by, but i'm sure he would have loved that book!

Blissa - DS is due to start school in August, however he is only turning 4 this feb which means he will be the youngest in his class (or one of). So, we are thinking about refering him as his nursery teacher thinks he is a little immature and very, very quiet and is worried that he's not ready this year. I am happy to keep him back as I think he is a little too young for school. Not sure how your school system works, but if he was born in march, just 2 weeks later then he wouldn;t be allowed to go to school this year anyway! Its daft really! I think they are too young at 4 1/2 anyway!

Well I am going to go to bed early again - sore throat is back - always seems to get worse at night! Hope it goes away soon!

Hey Greyskull, hope all is well with you! Did you have a nice Christmas/NewYear???

Speak soon x x x

blissa · 15/01/2010 13:31

How's your throat today yommy?

Ds turns 4 next week. Here, children start in reception the september before they turn 5. In our school they have a september intake and a january intake, children start the term they turn 5. So officially ds should start in january 2011, but if there are any spaces left in the september intake he will start then if that makes sense? Reception is early years learning then they go on to yr 1.

I understand your concerns about your ds not being ready. Dd1 was born at the end of july, and the cut off for starting school here is the end of august, so she turned 4 and then started in reception in the september, very young! She has been absolutely fine though and is not behind any of her friends some of whom are 9 months older! It's a tough decision though, trying to decide what is best.

Still got ds at home today. He got up this morning with a temp of 39.2! He seems to be ok once the calpol kicks in- he's sat here playing mario cart. Been to the council again this morning and dp has made some calls to sort things out so I finally feel like we are getting somewhere and not drowning!

GGrrrrrr

YommyMommy · 15/01/2010 15:24

Afternoon Girls,

Your Poor DS blissa - hope it isn;t the start of something for him. Isn;t Calpol great - does exactly what is says on the bottle And great news on the money problems! Know exactly how you feel - DH and I got into a lot of debt when we were young, free and not so single, lol! You know what its like before you have kids - we were both in good jobs, enjoyed nice holidays, out every weekend, nice clothes and the rest, lol! Oh and an expensive wedding - then came along monkey number one - not planned, but very much wanted! And so the slippery slope began! DH is trying to pay it off at the moment, but obviously can only pay so much at a time and still has the mortgage and all the other bills. Once the cards n things are paid off I can say for one that I will never get another card or loan for daft things - just not worth it!!!

I have gutted my house from top to bottom today - shattered now, ha ha! Have one of the nursery mums coming over tonight for a little drink. Have become quite frendly with her snd she just stays in the next street so will be nice to have a bit of company!

DH is home on wed, can;t wait to have him home. And Friends leaves for Saudi on thurs

Hope everyone os well x x x

blissa · 16/01/2010 12:56

Well ds is feeling better today- nowhere near as hot or miserable so that's good. Seems to have passed it on to me and dp though, I feel rough!

Hope you all have a good weekend ladies xx

YommyMommy · 16/01/2010 15:34

Awe Blissa - hope you are feeling better soon!

I feel terrible today too and I have this leaving party to go to tonight! My throat is getting worse and today I just feel tired and horrible! Wish DH was here to let me get and hours sleep or something. Don;t think i'll b staying too late tonight!

Hope everyone else is well! And have a nice weekend everyone x

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 16/01/2010 21:39

mooseloose · 16/01/2010 23:18

Hi girls, popped in to say hello. Hope you ok, someone must be spreading the bugs from on here, as I have just started a tickly cough, and got a headache too!

I'm fine ish. am feeling a bit down, rather than anxious, like bad pmt, and I feel like I want to cry when i am out (or in!). Am cross it has appeared on my radar again, when I thought I was doing well to get rid. Grrrr

OP posts:
blissa · 19/01/2010 10:29

Hi ladies

Still feeling very rough here! Have had flu like symptoms all weekend and last night I felt absolutely dreadful, couldn't get warm at all, but sweating at the same time. I hate that. Think the worst has passed now, am managing to get by without paracetamol so far this morning!

Have kept ds off today as he is still coughing. I just want to get back to normal, what with the snow and now being ill I haven't settled back into my usual routine since christmas.

How did your night out go Yommy? I hope you are feeling better.

Lovely to see you Greyskull hope you are ok

Don't be cross with yourself moose, we all suffer little set backs, you are doing brilliantly.

xx

YommyMommy · 19/01/2010 12:47

Morning Ladies,

Hope you have all had a nice weekend.

Blissa - sorry to hear you have been feeling awful But glad to hear you ar feeling better today! Hopefully you are over the worst of it now! My night out was okay, I was in pretty early as the boys were far too tired.

Moose - Blissa s right - dont; be too hard on yourslef you have come so far since we all started posting on this thread! I have set backs every other day, but I am just learning to live with the anxiety rather than fighting it all the time. I think it will get much better over time as it has done so far :D I just need to convince myslef of that! lol!!!

Grey - welcome back - hope you stick around! How are things going with the therapist??

mumof2000 - how are things with you?? How is your dad after his op?? Hope you are okay!

Hey to everyone else!

Had a busy morning this morning - my auntie was coming to get DS2 for the day, but he was sick She still took him anyway - so have been calling all the time to make sure he is okay! Think it might just be a little tummy bug. Argh!

Anyway, better go spend some time with DS1 :D

Speak later x x x

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 19/01/2010 12:53

Aw blissa wounds like you are having a horrid time at the mo. you know the days are getting longer and the weather is getting brighter, we have snowdrops on the way and it is going to be spring soon. For me things always seem worse when the days are short and the weather is pants!

Moose, the way I understand things like this is that we start off having 10 bad days out of 10, then gradually we get to the point where it is 5 out of 10 and then 1 out of 10, and then when we are nearly there we just get one or two bad days out of the month.
It sounds like you have made Huge progress.
Be kind to yourself

Hope you are feeling better Yommy and that you had a fantastic time at your party.

I am having a bit of a hard time at the mo, I know that I would feel a bit more at ease if I could get some practical stuff done, but the main thing is trying to feel closer to DH, all the work I am doing at the moment is making me shut down and recoil into myself, He is being really very kind but has no idea of the truly horrid stuff I think and dream about and experience in my head every day He knows in general but I couldn't ever share some of the stuff as I know he wouldn't be able to look at me ever again
I feel so very alone with it all.
