YommyMommy · 06/01/2010 09:22

Morning Girls,

How is everyone??

Thats brilliant you go the Wii fit plus! How has the new excersise routine been going??? I really need to get one . WOuld like this to be the year I get rid of the baby belly!!!

DH back home just now - he travelled through to work to be told there is no room for him, so he goes back on Monday! Measn he can do the nursery run for the next few days

Is anyone snowed in?? We haven;t been getting any lol!

Anyway, DS2 is wanting to run cars over the keys making typing very difficult!

Speak later x x x

blissa · 06/01/2010 12:37

Hi Yommy. That's nice you having dh around for a bit longer.

We have a bit of snow here. It's been snowing since last night. The dds only went back to school yesterday and now they have closed it! It doesn't look like ds will go back to pre-school until next week either, what a lovely extended holiday

Just got back from the park where we made 2 snowmen and I am freezing, even a hot chocolate hasn't thawed me out.

Hope everyone else is ok xx

YommyMommy · 06/01/2010 13:37

Awe Blissa - I am so jealous!!! Can I come n visit with DS

We have total clear skys!!!! Although its bloody freezing!!!!! I need to try to heat up! The heating has been on none stop Don;t want to see the bill for this month, bet all the gas/electric companys are rubbing their hands together!

They are saying there is a national gas shortage - that'll be the next thing!!!

blissa · 06/01/2010 14:16

Of course you can Yommy- if you can get through the non gritted roads that is

We've had our heating on constant for the past month- this house has absolutely no insulation and if we allow the temperature to drop over night we struggle to get it warm again. It doesn't help that the downstairs is quite open plan- we have managed to keep the livingroom warm by rigging up a curtain across the opening to the extension, but the rest of the house is cold. I am dreading the bill too

Dp came home last night saying there are only 8 days worth of gas left, we'll see. If it does run out I'll go to my mums, they have oil heating and 2 wood burning stoves!

kurves · 08/01/2010 00:43

i can not believe what happened it started to snow from around 6 on tuesday then on Wednesday we had a power cut from 11 we just got it back on it was horrible i am now in the process of charging up everything the ds the mobiles lap top psp you name it i nave never seen so much snow in this country the sad thing is that they say more for Sunday so i did not get to use the wii for a couple days will use it in the morning but we did on the first day we got it the rhythm Kong foo is SO funny and so much fun. Got the wii active too so i got enough to entertain my self while snowed in.

YommyMommy · 08/01/2010 12:06

Morning Ladies,

How are you all today??!!

Kurves that is terrible being stuck without power in this weather - what did you do?? Are you still snowed in?? Glad you have plently of gaming to keep you and boys occupied! Hope things get better soon! We haven't had any snow since christmas!!! I want some more, but not sure I would like to be snowed in!

Had my forst trip to A&E last night with DS2 - he bumped his head on the door frame to the bathroom, ooch! It was so one! He was okay, but thought I had better get it checked out! All was fine! Thank Goodness!!!

Just making lunch just now for the boys! I am going to have a protein shake instead of lunch to see if can help me loose a few pounds!

ANyway, hope all is well with everyone elsex x x

blissa · 08/01/2010 13:51

Kurves you ppor things, did you have heating? Glad it's all back on and you can get sorted.

Glad ds2 is ok yommy, my A&E trips have only ever been with dd1- there have been a few!

We're on day 3 of no school here and the cabin fever has set in! Was going to venture over to a friends and take the dcs sledging but it;s just too icy and it has started snowing again a bit.

They are saying the school may not open on monday either, and I've no wine-aaarrgghhhhh!

kurves · 08/01/2010 17:37

no school i did not have no heating it was nightmarish .I am so fed up.

mooseloose · 08/01/2010 22:27

hellooo
I haven't been on for ages. Sorry.I had decided, well maybe thought, that i was spending far too long on mumsnet - it is rather addictive! Some mornings I was doing nothing but being on here! I also felt that I was coming on to report I felt okay/not okay, and that made me think about myself too much, if you can understand that? And then over chrstmas I was just so busy, and no time to come on, or ds was online and I couldn't get on. And then I hadn't been on for ages, and I felt bad, so didn't come on anyway....

Hope you are all okay, will scan prev messages...

Hi moose, how are you?? Glad to hear from you - even if it just every now and then!! How have you been feeling?? Well I hope! Hope you had a lovely time over the hols and a Happy New Year to you !!!

Kurves - Hope you can get out soon! I guess its not fun being stuck in the house and the boys will be getting so fed up! I love the snow, but not the extent that I want people to be trapped in their houses! We had a little last night, but it has pretty much bypassed us all together! Still really cold though!!

Blissa - hope the kids get back to school soon! And por you haveing no wine! We have loads of drink left over from christmas and New Year!

mumof2000 - hope all is well with you!

Got a 30th Birthday party to go to tonight, not sure how I am feeling about it to be honest! I am really looking forward to it and keep wondering when the anxiety is going to kick in, hmm! Hopefully it won't. Won;t be drinking much and Dh is driving as he has to go back to work tomorrow so thats good that I don;t have to wrry about how I am gettin ghome . My Mum is watchin the boys so looking forward to a wee lie in tomorrow! Woo Hoo!

Hope you all have a nice weekend!!

blissa · 09/01/2010 17:25

Good to see you back moose

Hope you have a lovely time tonight Yommy. Send some of that booze down here will you

I have spent most of my day tidying. This morning my bedroom was an absolute disgrace so I have decluttered and cleaned and now it looks like a proper grown up bedroom, a sancturary from the dcs, somewhere to relax... we'll see how long it lasts!

xx

YommyMommy · 10/01/2010 21:22

Evening Girls,

Had a brilliant night last night Was such good fun! Been feeling a little rough today . Really, really lookign forward to go to bed!

Blissa - your bedroom sounds like mine It gets tidied and cleaned every so often and ends up going back to being a tip!!!!! Such is life with kids

Off to bed now, hope you are all well x x x

kurves · 11/01/2010 10:34

YommyMommy · 11/01/2010 11:29

Morning Kurves, Hope your okay!!!

Anxiety will pass once you get out and about! Walk in the snow will be nice?? Glad boys are keeping themselves entertained! Would be worse if they were younger!!!!

When is your assignment due in?? Once you get your head back into it you will be fine!! Think the hardest part is picking up where you left off?!

I ma having a lazy day today! Slept in this morning so kept DS1 from nursery! Still to get a shower . Maybe take a walk to the shops later to get them out for 5 mins!

Hope everyone else is well! x x x

blissa · 11/01/2010 13:01

Hope you are feeling more positive kurves. I agree with Yommy, once you get back on with the assignment it will be ok, it's just starting isn't it.

Hope you are enjoying your lazy day Yommy! Did dh go away today?

Kids all back to school this morning -phew! I spent my morning in town. Went to the council and explained our situation, I just have to take some extra bits and make a new claim, not sorted yet, but at least I've made a start.

YommyMommy · 11/01/2010 15:08

Hey Blissa,

Lazy day going well so far! DS2 started walking propery within last few days so he has been running around like mad, but seems a lot happier now that he can walk around Can;t believe it too him this long, lazy wee sod!! lol!

Does your DS go to nursey Blissa??

So glad you got things sorted with the council tax!!! Can;t you claim to get it reduced?? I know when DH and I we signing on we got it reduced to about 10% of what we usually pay - never lasted long as DH got a job soon after, but it would have been a great help if we were both out of work!!! Has DH had much work lately??? Might be worth checking out what else you might be due, every little helps!

DS2 is refusing to go for a nap today Need to nip to the shops n get something for dinner - was thinking a curry! yum!! Anyone got a good recipe for Mac and cheese??

P.S DH went away last night! Only a week n a half this time though due to not getting out last week!

blissa · 11/01/2010 18:02

Oh bless him, he'll keep you on your toes now . How old is ds2 now? Ds didn't walk til he was 14 months- much later than his sisters.

Ds goes to pre-school, 5 mornings a week, he may start reception in September (where's the time gone?) if not it will be next January.

I'm trying to get our debt reduced, but have no proof of what dp earns which makes it difficult.

Curry sounds nice, we've just had chicken leftover from yesterday with pasta.

mumof2000 · 12/01/2010 11:54

Hi Ladies how are you all ?

YommyMommy · 12/01/2010 14:31

Afternoon Girls,

How are you all today!!! I having a very anxious day Had to do a lot today - which usually doesn't bother but woke up with a sore chest and its had a knock on effect all day! Had a wee panic in tesco and the girl was taking an age to scan my things - argh!!! Anyway, it passed and I stayed in the shop for a while having a wee look around My chest is still really sore, but home now and feeling more relaxed - bought some of tesco finest cookies as a wee treat for myself! There goes the diet, lol!

mumof2000, Glad to have you back!!! How have you been?? All our snow has pretty much gone away

Kurves - great news about the road!!! Hope you enjoy getting back out of the house! Make the most of it as I think more snow is on its way!!

Blissa - how are you today? My DS2 is 14 months now - must be a boy things, lol! My DS1 started walking just after he turned a year. What is reception - it that what they do in between school and nursery?? I have to register my DS1 for school on thursday, although I think we are going to hold him back a year, not sure he is ready to go this year!

Going to make my cuppa n have a cookie!
Speak soon x x x

kurves · 12/01/2010 19:34

Hi girls sorry about the panic attack yommymummy its so sad that it just comes at the strangest times when we least expect it i have been having crazy thoughts and just ut them aside i just have to put my faith in god cause these panic attacks are very real to us and unless you have had one you just do not know. I have pains in my arms and back but i know its just the anxiety when i go to the gym i feel so much better so i hope now that when i start tomorrow i will feel better. My youngest son took an long time to walk now hes all over the place.

kurves · 12/01/2010 19:51

is pins and needles in your arms and legs part of anxiety

YommyMommy · 13/01/2010 10:26

Morning ladies,

How are you all today! Went to tesco again today - panic free, lol!!! However, I seen the gifts that DS1 wants for his b'day on half prices and didn;t have the cash on my card to buy them, hmm!!! I am going to order them on line today using our joint account ( I don;t know the pins as I am a scatter cash so couldn't used the card in store!!) Pain in the butt!!!! Its not his birthday til Feb, but thats too good a deal to miss!!!!

Kurves pins n needles def part of anxiety!! So try not to worry about it too much! I find that when OI focus on panic and have no distractions that usually brings on the symptoms/attack! Which is waht happened to me yesterday, but I was okay once I walked around the store a little!

Hope everyone else is well! Is it snowing again for you all?? We have sleet/rain! Boo!!!!!

blissa · 13/01/2010 11:25

Hi girls

Glad to have you back mumof2000- it's a nightmare when computers go wrong! Hope you're ok.

The pins and needles could definately be part of anxiety kurves.

Well done for getting through yesterday Yommy, what is it with us and Tesco? Glad you are feeling better today.

It's all white outside again- I've ahd enough now! The girls have gone to school, it took me 45 minutes to get home again (usually a 5 minute journey!), I'm starting to wish I hadn't taken them in as it's still snowing. The headteacher said they may close early, but haven't heard anything yet.

Ds is at home, and I've got his friend here too. I have a horrible headache, could do with going to bed!
