Hi girls, i have started a new thread for us all. The other was too long. Hope you all find it.

OP posts:
blissa · 18/09/2009 19:05

I feel like that most days Yommy!

I'm ok today thanks. It's been a beautiful day, and ds's big bed and his room is all sorted and lovely and tidy- we'll see how long it lasts!

at your chippy tea! I don't have that friday feeling as dd1 has ballet in the morning and starts at 9am.

No plans for the weekend except I have to do a Tesco shop, something I try to avoid at the weekends, but I didn't get to go today. How about you?

YommyMommy · 20/09/2009 11:43

Morning Girls,

Good luck with today Moose! Can;t wait to hear how u got on!

How has ur weekend been Blissa, did u make it to tesco okay? at you going yesterday, as I have to go today. lol! Don;t need a big shopping thankfully, just nappies n bananas!

Had a bit of a weird day yesteday. My friend/neighbour hasn;t been well over the last little while and I text her yesterday morning to see how she was feeling. Withing minutes she was calling me and I could hear that she was having difficult breathing so I said I would be right over. When I went in I could see she was terrified, it was horrible. I tried to calm her down and asked if she though she was having a panic attack. She said she didn't know, she just felt like she was having a heart attack She was waiting on the Doc coming out to see her, but has been on anti biotics for a chest infection. I was trying to talk to her about anything just to take her mind off her breathing, but the longer it was going on I was beginning to doubt it was a panic attack so got back on the phone to NHS24 to find out where the doctor was, just at that he turned up! Turned out it was a doctor from her practise and he knew her. All he said to her was I think you are getting yourself little worked up, calm down he just seemed really unconcerned and unhelpful! Anyway, he had a little listen to her chest and said it was fine, prescribed her more anti biotics and left! I was really horrified by his lack of concern, and glad that I was there for her! She eventually calmed down and I went to pick up her prescription, but the afternoon she was feeling better! I will need to go check on her this afternoon at some point! Poor woman! At first when she called me I was worried that if I went over I would start panicing too , but I couldn;t not go over!I was okay though, thank goodness!

Anyway, just thought I would share my story! Need to tidy up while DS2 is sleeping. He finally started crawling on friday

Hi to everyone else! Hope u are all well!

blissa · 20/09/2009 20:03

Oh Yommy your poor friend. How is she today? I'm sorry the dr wasn't more supportive and helpful. I think some drs really don't understand anxiety and panic. I remember when I was in hospital and having yet another panic attack and one of the nurses telling me I just need to calm down- er, yeah I would if I could, it's not that easy! It is hard for people to understand it if they have not experienced it, but you kind of hope people in the medical proffession would be more supportive. I hope she is feeling better.

That's lovely your ds starting crawling, you'll need eyes in the back of your head now

blissa · 20/09/2009 20:07

Didn't manage to spot moose on tv! Looked like a fantastic day and I'm glad the weather was good. Hope you enjoyed it moose and that you're not too tired. Well done!

Have had a good weekend here, weather has been lovely. Dp cooked a big fat fry up yesterday and we've had a roast today-oink! Sat watching X Factor

YommyMommy · 21/09/2009 14:42

Hey Girls,

Hope you are all well! Just back from swimming with the boys! DH and I took them, they had a ball. I am shattered though, lol! I keep having dizzy spells, I know they are not anxiety related, they are really horrible and I actually have to stop what I am doing to compose myself plus them make me feel sick! I have suffered from dizzy spells since I was in high school, but they don;t happen very often and I have been tested for heart murmer n they found nothing! Although they are becoming more frequent and more severe :S. Anyway, I have had 3 today really can't be bothered going to the docs, but don;t think I can put it off much longer if they are getting worse!

My friend seemed a lot better yesterday Blissa, she said her chest was getting tighter every time she thought about going to work. She was going in today to ask if she could use up some holidays to get herself over her chest infection, but I'm not sure they let her as her car has been away all day Glad u had a nice weekend, all that food sounds lovely, lol! I had a chippy on friday night, then an indian on sat - double oink! lol!

Moose - how are you feeling? Is it nice having DH back Mines is away again tomorrow for another two weeks

Anyway, off to make a cuppa before DS1 and hubby come back from getting hair cuts!

Speak soon!
Hi to everyone else, hope u are all well x x x

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 21/09/2009 21:24

Evening ladies,
sorry to drop in and out of the thread, I am not a very good anxiety buddy,
How did Moose get on at the GNR?
Blissa any news on your HGC levels? I have been reading through the thread but last info I can find it was 24? - hope all is well
Yommy - have you had your ears tested? could it be a balance thing? Sounds like you were a fabulous friend to our neighbour the other day - at how uncaring the doctor was.

feel like a failure at the moment, I have had to up my citalopram, I am just panicing so much and not being able to sort it out, I couldn't sign the prescription form in the doctors the other day, I just couldn't move even though I was in tears. they were lovely but I just felt like such a numpty.

I can't seem to get anything right at all,
Sorry to moan I promise I will try to be around more to support a well as whinge.
it is DS2's 3rd birthday on Wednesday and I haven't got enough time to make him a cake because I have 2 cakes to make that people are paying for he is having to do with cupcakes - WHY didn't I think when booking in cakes that I would need time to do Alexanders cake - again - what a f&*Iing numpty, what kind of Mummy does that make me?

YommyMommy · 22/09/2009 07:26

Awe, BTP sounds like you are having an awful time just now! What has brought all this on??? Anything in particular? I hope up'ing your meds helps things a little and gives you some breathing space to get your head sorted out!!! Please stop thinking that u ae a numpty, we all have bad days, weeks, months and wish we had done or thought about things differently! You are a wonderful woman with gorgeous kids! I bet they don;t want for anything and I would bet that alexander will be more that happy with a selection of cupcakes!!! He will only be interested in eating them Seriously though, please don't give yourself such a hard time and know that we are always here to talk/listen! {{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}

My darling little monsters have been up since 6.20 this morning! Not sure what the hec is going on with them! Total nightmare! I never slept to well last night, no reason just couldn;t get into a proper deep sleep!

Anyway, need to start getting organised.
Hope everyone is well! Hope u have a better day today BTP x x x

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 22/09/2009 16:24

thanks Yommy, am havign a slightly better day, did parent helper at DS2's nursery so had to keep busy, and then slept this afternoon whilst DS2 slept.

Just got to get on andmake dinner, DH is out on the Raz this evening so will make best efforts to get on with cake for this weekend.
if I get chance I will make DS2 a cake for tomorrow, MUST remember to wrap up his pressie for the morning!

Sorry you didnt sleep well last night, do you ever get chance to catch up with a snooze during the day?

blissa · 22/09/2009 20:36

Hi girls.

Wow Greyskull the cakes on your profile are absolutely amazing. I would love to be able to do something like that.

I'm glad you are feeling a bit better today. Please don't beat yourself up for having to increase your meds, it dosn't make you a failure and it won't be for ever. I agree with Yommy, we all take on too much and stress ourselves out at times. I think we as mums worry about disappointing our dcs when in reality they are more than happy with what they have iykwim? Not expressing myself very well tonight. Have a lovely day tomorrow.

Early nights for the boys Yommy? You know you need to go and get the dizziness seen to don't you . Like Greyskull says it could well be your ears, or something equally simple but if you don't find out then you run the risk of it adding to your anxiety by worrying that it could be something serious. I know drs appointments are a pain in the bum but I will pester you to go

YommyMommy · 22/09/2009 20:40

Glad to hear you are having a slightly better day BTP! Well done on helping out at DS group! Are you looking forward to DS's birthday tomorrow? I love birthdays/christmas etc! Anything that makes the boys happy

Just about ready for bed now! DH went away again at tea time so not going to see him for another 2 weeks! Will go past quickly I hope!

Neve get a chance to sleep in the afternoon, had a few hours to myself this afternoon when I could have slept, but I don;t think its worth it as I end up feeling worse when I wake up!

Hope everyone is well!

blissa · 22/09/2009 20:41

Still no further news to report. I tried all morning to get through to the results lady but there was no answer, will try again tomorrow.

I had another counselling session yesterday, I don't know if we're getting any further. We just seem to chat about stuff, like how I seek approval from my parents and how I don't need to. I see her again in 2 weeks.

Dp has been ill again today, he was sick this morning. Has been ok this afternoon and managed to keep food down, so not sure what that was about

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 22/09/2009 22:06

thanks Blissa, argh! how frustrating for you that you can't get through for your results.
My counselling sessions seemed to go very slowly, there were times I said to her that I felt we weren't going anywhere fast.. it has in the end been great for me to go slowly through things, it has helped her to see and understand how abusive my childhood was.
I hope your DH is feeling better tomorrow, I find that I lack tolerance with DH when he is ill, I don't get days off sick!

Yommy, does your DH work away? (sorry for nosey question!) it must be so hard for you to be on your own for long periods of time.

So have made a hippo, 4 penguins and some bush grass to go on a madagascar cake for the weekend will do the lion zebra and giraffe tomorrow night (hopefully!), going to wrap up DS2's pressie and then go to bed.

Just feel so edgy, am going to try to go to sleep in a calm way so I don't have another nightmare.

YommyMommy · 23/09/2009 10:19

Morning Girls!

Argh - crap nights sleep! The boys are both loaded with the cold so they aren;t sleeping well at the moment, hence, neither am I

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to DS BTP Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!! Hope you had a good ssleep, without nightmares! The madagascar cake sounds amazing! Pictures please

Blissa, can't believe they are making you wait so long on results shouldn;t they be calling you???!!! I hate that! How are you feeling about the situation now! Glad DH is feeling better, I am like BTP have little patience with DH when his is ill as when I am ill he gives me the sceptical faces!!!! Sorry your not getting much from your councelling Do you have a set amount of sessions, or is it just til you are feeling more like your old self?

Where is morning sun, not heard from her in ages!

Hi moose if your about
Any hi to anyone else i've missed

blissa · 23/09/2009 11:37

Still can't get through to the results lady this morning but HAHAHA my period arrived last night ! Have had awful cramps all night and this morning I feel like I've been beaten up but I don't care! It's here lalala! Hopefully that is all dramas over with and you can all have a break from my moaning

Happy birthday to your ds Greyskull. The Madagascar cake sounds fab. Hope you slept well and that you have a great day.

Hope the boys feel better soon Yommy and that you can all get some sleep tonight. Ds was up at 2am having wet the bed again. He didn't even have a drink before bed so not sure what's going on. That's twice he's weed on his nice new mattress

I do hope morningsun is ok, she hasn't been on for ages. Hope she joins us again soon.

Hope moose has recovered from sunday, maybe she is just enjoying having her dh back

YommyMommy · 23/09/2009 12:27

Hi Blissa, thats fantastic news! I bet u could hop, skip n jump to the moon today

Thats a shame about DS wetting the bed! Have u every used the pampers bed sheets? They are disposable and brillaint They suck in the moisture like nappies so that DS isn't sleeping in a puddle of pee pee! Well worth the investment and it save u all the hassle of trying to clean the matress in the middle of the night or the morning! Well worth the investment!!!

candyfluff · 23/09/2009 14:31

hi girls - sorry not been on lately so much stuff going on !!!!
dd been at the dentist and a&e with would you believe it a big splinter in her bum
she had a filling replaced as it had fallen out last week and now she has a abcess so is on anti biotics and painkillers, shes still at school though - she doesnt seem to be much pain ,ive had a abcess its so painful, shes so brave.
she has to have the tooth out next week sometime - im so worried for her shes only 8 and they wont put her to sleep for it.
sorry im not yet up to speed on all whats been happening with you lot and when i have time i will read through properly.

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 23/09/2009 15:37

Yay! Blissa what a relief for you

DS2 has had a lovely day, although I have caved in and made him an elephant cake whilst he had his sleep this afternoon, just waiting for DS1 to get back from school and we will have birthday cake.

Candy - good to see you for your daughter, sounds like she has been through a tought time with her teeth!

Blissa I think I remember someone posting a tip on MN somewhere, put a waterproof sheet on the bed, then a sheet, then a waterproof sheet and then a sheet, in the middle of the night just whip off the top layer and child goes back to bed quickly and without fuss and you don't have to dash about finding things to change the bed.

Anxiety really good today, feel totally calm, not sure why, just enjoying it whilst it lasts

blissa · 23/09/2009 18:23

That is a good tip thanks Greyskull. I'm sure I have one of those mattress protectors here somewhere. Dd1 had almost a year of wetting the bed when she was younger and I did used to use those pads Yommy. Fingers crossed he'll be dry tonight.

Your poor dd Candy, how did she end up with a splinter there? She sounds like a very brave girl.

Good to hear you've had a good day Greyskull and well done for making another cake. How did you get into doing it? Did you do a course? It's something I'd really like to try, but don't know where to start

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 23/09/2009 20:39

Dh signed me up for the course about 3 weeks after I tried to kill myself last year, he said "I have found something for you to do in the evenings that is just for you" - "and I paid the whole amount not a deposit so you have to go as I won't get the money back"

it made me smile because in my head all I could think was - Oh that will stop me killing myself, the fact that you won't get your £150 back

I have loved it, the course started last September and ran for the academic year. I finally found something I love, that I am quite good at

YommyMommy · 23/09/2009 21:02

Evening Girls,

That was a really good idea ur DH had last year :D I would love to be able to be good at it too! Although I get very bored cooking, maybe cakes would be different! Do you sell them??? - In answer to your question about my DH, he works away from home. He does inspection testing on power plants/oilrigs that sort of thing, so he is usually way for weeks at a time!

Anyway, nothing new to report in my life for today! Going to have another early night and read my book for a while! On the 3rd in the twilight serious! Brilliant!

Hope u have all had a good day x x x

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 23/09/2009 21:34

I do sell them, am managing to make between £1-200 per month it feels fantastic, I haven't earned any money since DS1 was born

Enjoy your book, sleep well.

mooseloose · 23/09/2009 22:39

Hi, sorry, been chasing my tail since Monday and not been online!

Ran 2 hours 36 mins! Pleased with that! Really hot, way too hot for me! And it was just a long uphill all the way! Ran really well for ten miles - ten min miles, and then flaked! I was going too fast for the 13 miles really. Ran ten miles in 1 hour 48, so it fell apart after that.

So I had to walk, and have a stretch. Ate tip tops, oranges, powerade, water, energy gels, and got going again! my back was killing, but ok after the stretch. I have started to watch on the i palyer, but not spotted myself yet.

It was a lovely day (no panics - too knackered!) and very busy. Trafiic was horrendous and took us hours to get home.

Saw lots of celebs.

OP posts:
blissa · 24/09/2009 11:20

Well done moose, that is a very good time. Do you know how much you have raised? And did you get to touch Stings hand as you went past?

I think that was lovely of your dh Greyskull. Had you never done it before then? To be making cakes like that after only a year is amazing.

Hope you had a good nights sleep Yommy. I still haven't started on Twilight yet, have just bought a Martina Cole book from the charity shop for 80p- bargain!

Have finally got through to the results lady and the level is 17 so it is slowly coming down! God know's why it's taking so long to go but at least it is. And maybe the drs have learned something from me that the hormone can stick around for a while instead of telling me it doesn't!

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 24/09/2009 13:56

thanks blissa, had never decorated cakes, always been up for making a sponge cake and may splash out on some icing sugar mixed with water type icing but never anything else.

I went and found a lovely group of ladies (7 in the class) and discovered someting I love.

HOWEVER, I have to be honest today i can't do it.. I am in such a panic, I cant get over the blood pumping round my body, I have 48 hours so need to get a move on!

YommyMommy · 24/09/2009 16:53

Hi Girls,

Hope u are all well!

Well done moose, sounds like your day was brilliant! SO glad you enjoyed it, too!

I love the idea of being able to make proper cakes BTP! You've got my mind going! Do you find it to be theraputic??? (SP???) It must be great to find something you like doing, and also be able to make some money from it! Good for you!!! How come you ae feeling so panicy today

Thanks Blissa, I did have a good nights sleep last night, but I am still feeling shattered!

Had a nice day today, my friend came down with her DS and the kids had a play day! They were very well behaved so me n friend got to sit ang d have a good natter! Need to get a move on n get tea started, two boys are having a nap so will have peace to get it done

Will check in later x x x
