Hi girls, i have started a new thread for us all. The other was too long. Hope you all find it.

OP posts:
blissa · 14/09/2009 11:17

big bot?? big boy

Have just got off the phone to the results lady. The dr has said I need an early pregnancy scan as the levels are still quite high. I have an appointment with him on Wednesday. I've read that hcg can still be detected 8 weeks after a termination, so I am crossing everything that that is all it is.

I can count on one hand the amount of times we've had sex since, and we've been so careful. We are both so paranoid. The first time I was pregnant, we were careless, but if it has happened again after it coming off once, then life is very unfair.

YommyMommy · 14/09/2009 11:55

Oh Blissa, I really hope you don't have to go through all that again! Fingers crossed for you too! {{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}

DC'ren and I a feeling a lot better today! I kept DS1 of from nursery just incase. DS2 is still hangy today the bug seems to be lingering with him the longest, maybe its because he so young?! My body is sore with all the throwing up, it was making me a little anxious this morning, but feeling better not that I have had my shower n loosened up a little! Hopefully tomorrow we will all be back to 100%! DS1 was not happy when I told him he was staying off of nursery, lol!

Candy, my DH makes wonderful cheesecake! Hope u enjoy your evening with your sister!

Hi to everyone else!

blissa · 14/09/2009 14:39

Thanks yommy. The dr has already told me I won't be able to have another termination so soon after the first, so we'll just have to cross our fingers and wait.

Glad you're feeling a bit better. Dd2 gets uspet when she can't go to school aswell, bless them!

blissa · 14/09/2009 14:42

I've managed to order the mattress! Had to do it over the phone though. Got it from TescoDirect in the end. I went to my friends house to use her computer and Dreams charge £35 delivery. I don't think so! Tesco has a deal on so I got a £75 mattress for £63 and I had a £5 voucher so delivery was free! Bargain

candyfluff · 14/09/2009 17:16

well done blissa -

mooseloose · 14/09/2009 20:56

Keep busy tomorrow Blis, try not to think about Wed. Poor you x

I am really sleepy now, think I might go bed early. Need to get my sleep in for my run! Bit creaky today after my ten miles on Sunday!

I am travelling up to Newcastle on Fri teatime with friends. I think Dh will meet us there on Sat. He has been away 7 weeks! But I am leaving my boys with my mum one night/inlaws the next. But I don't think I will get chance to see them before we travel- from school I mean, and I am a bit teary about it- how silly! I've never been away from them for two nights. But this means an extra day too. Am I being irrational and blowing it up out of proportion? Friend wants to get cracking driving, and I had assumed i will get them from school and take them to mums and say bye...

OP posts:
blissa · 15/09/2009 10:31

No you're not being irrational moose, they are your babies and it's longest you've been away from them. BUT you'll have a really good time and it'll fly and you'll be home with them before you know it. It will also be a nice treat for them!

Is your dh coming home afterwards? I bet you're really looking forward to seeing him. Where abouts in Newcastle are you going? That's where I come from originally, but we moved down south when I was 9.

Have kept ds off pre-school, he was quite snotty this morning. Got his little friend here too so have got them to keep me busy. Have another counselling session later too.

Hope everyone is ok xx

YommyMommy · 15/09/2009 20:40

Evening Girls,

Awe moose, I agree with Blissa! It will be hard for you to leave the boys! I would be feeling the same as you if I had to leave mine for that long! But like she said you will have a ball!

How did your session go today Blissa? Is it CBT? How are you feeling about tomorrow?

I have been feeling a little weird (anxious wise) when I have been out and about over the past few days! Not sure if it was because I was unwell and still not really been feeling 100%. Hopefully it will pass!

Hope everyone else is well!

P.S. Def never got the job!

mooseloose · 15/09/2009 21:39

Hi, sorry I was a bit rambly yesterday! I just posted before i thought it through.... Am ok today, but panicked but on top of it...

Yes, dh finishes working away at the weekend, so i will come home with him - NEED to get the house tidy before he wonders what has happened to it!

Newcastle is the Great North Run Bliss. i know we go over the bridge, and finish by a beach??!! - How was counselling today?

Sorry you never got the job Yom, there will be something better around the corner - so they say!

OP posts:
YommyMommy · 16/09/2009 10:28

Good luck with today Blissa, you'll b in my thoughts x x x

blissa · 17/09/2009 11:20

Of course it is moose, silly me! How are you feeling, excited? Which charity are you running for?

How are you today Yommy? My counselling went well the other night. I don't know if it's CBT. We just talk a bit and then she does some relaxation-takes me for on a walk on the beach! Thank you for thinking of me yesterday.

Well the saga continues! My life used to be so straight forward. I saw the gp yesterday, the hcg level in my blood last week was 24, whuch to me is nothing! The woman on the phone had me thinking it was in the 100's. He phoned a gynae at the hospital, who didn't think it would be residual hormones but a new pregnancy. But nobody can say for sure. So my gp gave me a form and told me to ring the early pregnancy unit for an early scan.

blissa · 17/09/2009 11:26

So I phoned this morning only to be told it had to be the gp who makes the appointment. So I phoned the gp surgery and left a message with the receptioninst for the duty doctor. He rang back a little while ago (a different dr than I saw yesterday) and has said if it is a new pregnancy I will only be around 3 weeks and so a scan is pointless. He has said to get another blood test done and then we can see if the levels are going up or down and go from there.

So I will go and pick up yet another blood form and have the test done tomorrow, hopefully I will be able to get an appointment with a nurse at the surgery rather than have to sit up at the hospital all morning.

I am still holding on to the possibility that it is residual hormones.

So there we are. I bet you're all getting bored of my moaning. At least I don't feel as scared this time around.

mooseloose · 17/09/2009 14:46

Oh Blissa - I can't believe it may be a new one!!! I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I can't believe you have so many things happening to you!

I ran 2.5 this morn for a stretch before Sunday. Then I met a friend for a coffee - not seen her for ages. But not much housework done! eek!

I am running for Anthony Nolan on Sunday - have had a rather fetching blue vest with flowers on it come today!

My lovely fiend died of Leukaemia, so I am running for her. Took flowers to church for her today x

OP posts:
blissa · 17/09/2009 16:30

Neither can I moose! The riony is that the condom that came off was a different make to our 'usual' and was one of the ones they gave me at the clinic that did the termination.

A miraculous thing happened when I went to pick up the blood form- there was an appointment with the nurse available there and then. So the blood test is done and the result will be back monday or tuesday.

I'm sorry about your friend moose. Is that the same friend you were telling us about a few months ago? All the best for sunday, do you have a time that you are aiming to run it in?

blissa · 17/09/2009 16:31

rionyirony

mooseloose · 17/09/2009 17:05

Sue them Bliss!!! Claim 18 years of maintainace!

At least the results are going to be back a bit quicker now.

My poorly friend had lung cancer , and is no worse! We didn't think he would survive thye summer, but is now back at work, and doing some excercise. His tumour is still there, but they think it is a secondary - they have not found the primary yet! He has a scan every three months, so fingers crossed. x

My leukaemia fiend died when my son was little - she died on his birthday which makes every year a bit bittersweet. We were all tested for the Antony Nolan register, but of course noone matched.

I was actually called up last year and had further tests for another ill person, but it turned out I was not a full match, so not used. I would have liked to have been useful, because of my friend.

Will catch up with you later/tomorrow x

i am aiming to run in 2.5 hours - I should be just in as the Red Arrows fly at 1.20pm!

OP posts:
mooseloose · 17/09/2009 17:08

oh dear - my grammar and spellings not great on that post!

OP posts:
blissa · 17/09/2009 17:47

Oh it is good to hear your friend is doing well.

I did joke to dp the morning after that if it did happen we would sue! I really didn't think we'd be in this postion again so soon. People must think we are so stupid and careless.

I asked the dr yesterday if there would be any problems being pregnant so soon after a termination and he said no, it just means we are very fertile. I know some people would be very grateful for that.

mooseloose · 17/09/2009 19:38

I think thats what you have to say to yourself Blis - you are lucky - think what some people go through. It took me three years to get pregnant with ds - it was an eternity - a horrible time. Now I have three!

Evening Girls,

What a fecking evening I have had! My ds2 woke at tea time and would stop crying, Nothing I done would sooth him! I was at my wits end with him I feel like I am expecting too much from the boys and find that my fuse is so sort with them, especially when my stress levels go up. I am feeling really crappy just now as I feel like the past few days have been a struggle due to being unwell and feeling really tired! Thankfully I only have one more day til my hubby is back, but its only til tues then he will b away again! I hope this get easier once DS2 is up and about on his feet! Some days he won;t let me leave the room without screaming after me, which is very frustrating! Sorry for the rat!!!

Moose, I really hope the run goes well for u! I will be thnking about you and your df's!

Blissa, you sound a little more upbeat this time round! I guess you have no other choice, what will be will be! I hope everything works out as u want it!

Hi to everyone else

YommyMommy · 17/09/2009 20:11

Sorry for the rant...not the rat, lol! x x x

blissa · 17/09/2009 20:39

Rant away Yommy! Do you have wine or chocolate?

I get like that a lot. I can be ok and then all of a sudden tiredness will sweep over me and I become so grumpy and shouty. I hope the boys give you a good nights sleep.

I know you are right moose, we are incredibly lucky. One of my friends has PCOS and has taken 4 years to conceive her lo, my sister has also suffered multiple miscarriages due to her condition. It is for these reasons I cannot tell most of my friends or family what is going on as I do not know how they would react to what I have done.

Anyway, as Yommy says, what will be will be

xxx

mooseloose · 17/09/2009 21:32

Oh dear yommy - it is hard on your own- tell me about it! Do you think ds is poorly?

I find i shout in the mornings trying to get them to school, and then hate myself for being grumpy!

It's nice to talk to someone who doesn't know you Blis isn't it. Helps. I say things on here i don't tell anyone.

OP posts:
blissa · 18/09/2009 12:59

Good luck for sunday moose! Enjoy it. Will try and look out for a blue flowery vest on the tely! xx

YommyMommy · 18/09/2009 16:37

Sorry I never got to post earlier moose! Hope all goes well on Sunday! Will also be looking out for you on tele ;)

Having a better day today! Feel less stressed than yesterday! Do you ever have days where you are seriously wondering if you are just about to loose the plot, completely???

How are you today Blissa? Do you have anything nice planned for the weekend? I am so tired that I can't be bothered cooking dinner, so going to have a chippy instead! Plus its the beginning of the weekend! Woo Hoo!

Hope everyone is well x x x
