Hello ladies,

As we seem to have reached our limit on the other thread, I thought I had better start a new one!!

We have the 'positive' one started by our lovely BB - so I suggest we keep this as the 'anxious' one (i.e. the one where we can all say "OMG, it said on the news that someone v-d 200 miles away from me - am I going to catch it?!") We can share our worries, however silly they sound, without undoing the good work on the other thread. What do you all think?

I shall start off by saying that every time DD speaks, I think she's going to say she feels sick!!!

Now that really is neurotic...

Hi Namey - I'm guessing things are OK your end!

DP also had this a few weeks ago, but it was more stomach pains and 'D'. I also took myself off to the spare room.

I have noticed that 'generally' adults (and presumably older children) start to build up a bit of immunity to these bugs and don't necessarily 'V' with them. The last two that I caught, I just felt sick and had flu-like symptoms. Of course, I make sure I don't eat as soon as I notice the first symptoms.

Give us an update, when you can!

hi can i just ask a few q's?
I have this phobia since having dc3 18mnths ago. My fear though is the children getting ill, not me as me being ill doesnt scare me. It started when dc3 was born, as the day we came out of hospital dd started with a nasty tummy bug and then passed it on to ds1, so it felt like we were housebound for 2 weeks, with me being post natal too! I developed severe post natal depression and was very poorly mentally for a long time.
Have just started back on the ads as just cant cope with the kids being back at school and the bugs they catch!
Basically i was wondering if there is anything u can get from the docs to stop kids being sick (Anti emetics i have seen mentioned here for adults?)
I am hating wishing my childrens life away till they are old enough to look after themselves when poorly Sad
They are only 5 4 and 18 months and i feel i am wasting this precious time
