Mumsnet has really helped me pull put of a possible breakdown and while I'm out of the worst of it, I'm still very sad. I'm crying to myself now so I can put on a brave face in the morning.

I need a massive hand hold 😔 I don't feel myself at all. The anxiety is totally killing me. I will be surprised it I'm still here by next week, despite how hard I am fighting 😔😔

Whycantgiraffesdance · 28/06/2024 13:24

Please ring someone if you’re feeling this bad @hk1993x did you just stop ur meds cold turkey? If so the extreme anxiety is probably major withdrawal from that. Hand holding but you need real life support too, contact the crisis team and explain how how bad things are, you are not alone xxxx

I've had them in the past. I just find watching them so peaceful.

Imatorturedpoet · 01/08/2024 20:56

Hi @Helplessandheartbroke sorry to hear that, do you know if something has triggered it?

I'm doing a bit better at the moment, the sunshine helps a lot and my partner has been very attentive, reassuring me when necessary, which also helps.

Helplessandheartbroke · 01/08/2024 21:55

@Imatorturedpoet yes I think I do know and it's family drama.... glad your dp is taking care of you! X

OP posts:
Imatorturedpoet · 01/08/2024 22:19

That's rubbish, family drama is awful. Can you be kind to yourself? Sometimes we can't change things and just have to accept it is how it is 🤗❤️

Helplessandheartbroke · 01/08/2024 22:53

@Imatorturedpoet I've basically spoke up for once in my life and got a load of shit for doing so. I'm just feeling sorry for myself x

OP posts:
Imatorturedpoet · 02/08/2024 18:59

Good for you, speaking up! Ignore them all, they're probably just not used to it. We all have a right to an opinion.

Helplessandheartbroke · 02/08/2024 23:46

Definitely not used to it. Why when I call out someone's wrongs do I feel like the dickhead though?

OP posts:
Imatorturedpoet · 03/08/2024 15:33

But you're not! I know it's easy to say, but please don't worry, you've done nothing wrong! 🤗

Helplessandheartbroke · 05/08/2024 20:37

Thanks @Imatorturedpoet how are you getting on?

Hi, I'm doing ok just now. Still navigating through this life, it's really hard but I'm still here. How are you?

mechanicalpencil · 07/08/2024 19:00

@hk1993x
I’m ok today. Ups and downs.
Glad you are still here x

EatingRipeCamembert · 08/08/2024 01:23

I feel sad too. My mum died three months ago, my job is shit and life just feels grey and pointless. I don't know how to make myself feel better. I feel very lonely.

Helplessandheartbroke · 08/08/2024 11:55

@EatingRipeCamembert I'm so sorry for your loss. Youre still going through the grieving process. Give yourself time to heel. Do you have RL support to help you through this difficult time?

@mechanicalpencil were here for a hand hold

OP posts:
EatingRipeCamembert · 08/08/2024 12:25

@Helplessandheartbroke thank you. I have a DH who has been supportive but recently he's been emotionally unavailable, I told him this morning how I'm feeling and hopefully, he can make himself more available to me. I've also asked a friend if she can talk on the phone tonight (best friend lives 5 hours drive away unfortunately), hopefully talking to her tonight will help.

It also helps that after a particularly challenging week at work I can see a way forwards this morning with a difficult work issue.

Separate to my grief I do need to address the loneliness issue in my life. I've signed up to join a choir (but can't join until January) so hopefully that will help.

Hand holds to all on this thread who suffer from feelings of sadness or loneliness or depression. If it was practical to invite you all over, give you hugs and listen to your troubles, I would.
