Feeling dangerously low - anyone around to chat?

Longstanding history of depression, self harm and addictions. Breakdown last summer, spent 3 months in hospital. Personality disorders diagnosed. In long term therapy atm.

DH critically ill. DSs have history of major illness, following congenital abormalities.

I cant cope any more. I want to end our marriage. I have sent DH away with the DC this weekend so I can get my head in gear. But I just drinking all the time.

I feel so low. I dont think I am at the 'worryingly low' stage (I have been known to take ODs in the past but I dont feel like that atm) but I am feeling very depressed.

I dont know what to do. All I want to do is cry and be comforted, but I am all alone. How can I get through this?

Thank you for all he good messages. I have been hibernating today. DH is home now and as soon as the DC are in bed I am going to tell him. I am sh*t scared. I dont know how he is going to react. I dont even know if I will be able to get the words out.

Think of me please. Thanks

paperchain · 15/01/2008 20:13

hello

I have had my head down for a little while

I dont know how I am feeling tbh. Numb I guess. It is all surreal. One the one hand it is almost as if nothing has happened, on the other as though I have ruined everyones lives.

I am drinking and trying to deal with my emotions are best I can.

(((hugs)))

I replied to your other thread but wanted you to know I'm thinking of you.

Am in similar circumstances (although my h not ill). I told him y'day I definitely wanted a divorce and now am in the same boat, feel as though nothing has happened yet as though I am about to ruin everyones lives just so I can have a little bit of happiness.

As soon as he walks through the door from work I feel my mood plummet. He was away for a fortnight (back on Saturday) and I haven't been happier for a long time. The temp dropped to minus 30 as soon as he came home.

I would also love the same things you want.

Not much help am I!!! Just wanted you to know that I find it so helpful posting on here and just writing my feelings down rather than bottling them up, which is what I usually do.

Thinking of you x

muthahubbard - thank you for sharing your story. Seems like we are in the same boat. There are a few of us I think. I hope we can support each other. Think we need a new thread in relationships. Not sure how to start it tho... any ideas?
