However small.

For me it's making 2 phone calls (not to family/friends) because it's something I find hard and often put off doing.

Well done @BellaTheDarkOverlord, good to get it done now but I sympathise on putting that kind of job off.

Impressive, @normanthegonk! I've only got the shorter words for similar puzzles.

@batmanladybird was it nice seeing your friend in the end even though you didn't feel like it beforehand? Sounds like a productive day!

I've cooked a Moroccan style meal even the fussy eaters liked.

I'm not remembering to do my "homework" very often (a worry diary) so must do more before the next appointment comes around. I feel like I know my main times and topics of anxiety already but need to be able to tell the phone counsellor person them.

I made a list of things to do. Notes on my phone has a to do list section. Tomorrow I might clean the oven. Will report back if I manage it Grin

Had some emotional ups and downs today (big fight with DH). But we all went for a walk when it was dark to look at Christmas lights.

Today I took back my btl by changing locks as squatters were given keys by outgoing tenant and it has been trashed on just over 1 week. It is heart breaking. They stubbed cigarettes out on carpets, wore muddy boots on carpets, left cans, bottles, dirty plates with half eaten food on bedroom and lounge floors. They had left gas heating on 50 degrees and 1 bedroom stank of weed and rest of house cigarettes and really bad BO.They left beds, s stinky corner sofa, TV and other stuff including clothing thrown all over house. They had changed locks but I got a person to break locks and change them whilst they were not in the house. I suspect getting everyone roved and taken to tip and clean up with new carpets and laminate they broke along with 3 internal.doors will cost me by between £2500 and £3000. Just what I don't need before Xmas. But let's not forget all LL are evil.

I had a shower, first time in a few days that wasn't a scrub down after work to get the Covid off.. I work in icu and now it's mandatory to shower at work before getting changed. So today was my first shower where I took my time, used nice soap moisturised, used a hair mask etc

HelloMist · 19/12/2021 21:12

sorry that's happened
@caringcarer.

@dontletthemugglesgetyoudownn thank you for all you do. Glad you got to pamper yourself for once!

I did a craft with DD that she's been asking to do for ages. It's a bit of a faff to set up and tidy again but we both enjoyed it while in the process. Smile

Getting out of bed, finally at 13:30 and going to Tesco. I have not unpacked the shopping though, I can't face it.

RoastedParsnips · 20/12/2021 20:26

Baked a cake with DC. Cleaned the house first time in 3 days. Blush

rc22 · 20/12/2021 20:45

Made a phone call this morning that was difficult. Finally got the Christmas tree up.

HelloMist · 21/12/2021 12:53

glad to read of what you've achieved!

@rc22 mine was a phone call this morning too.

Happy New Year all!

What I'm proud of today is seeing something that usually triggers me (from family) and not feeling the usual strong feelings. Think it might depend on my mood, and I was in a good enough one this time to take it calmly.

I went to my local dogs home and walked some of the dogs for them. Felt much better after a bit of fresh air and exercise

Notgettingbetter · 01/01/2022 17:49

I got up and took DD to the playground. I cooked dinner. Quite a contrast to yesterday when I spent all day in bed.

Happy New Year to all.

HelloMist · 05/01/2022 12:24

@Notgettingbetter glad your day was better.

We've made a good start to the week (return to school for DD) even though I'm really nervous about Omicron hitting schools.

I'm proud of my driving this morning - I was nervous after time not doing any, windows misted up and the possibility of ice. Need to take it gently and let my (limited) confidence build back up.

Not eaten any of the leftover Xmas treats that seem to be everywhere still and have eaten a small bowl of pasta pesto & veggies, some fruit and cucumber, and lots of water instead whilst working in the cold from home. Grin

Chummy21 · 05/01/2022 19:46

Not crying in front of my children

HelloMist · 05/01/2022 20:13

@Christobel51 you have been very restrained! Maybe you can allow yourself something tomorrow though. Cake

@Chummy21 I did this (cried in front of them) yesterday. Hope you are doing ok and that you get some time to unwind later if you aren't.

I thought I'd check in and bump the thread.

Had a bad patch today and yesterday. But I got out in the sunshine this morning: into the garden for some pruning and walked to school instead of driving.

Let a workman into my house for 2 hours. It was stuff that needed doing, and I mostly hid away and got worked up about it. But he was so kind, and explained everything he was doing.

Ridingoutthewaves · 15/03/2022 19:55

Cleaned out and washed our pet
Unloaded and loaded the dishwasher
Started to think about my next project

Liz1tummypain · 16/03/2022 21:43

Finally bundled up some blankets and (new ) mens socks that I'd bought and took them to a collection point for delivery to Ukraine

Pushing through my anxiety to go to an appointment even though my anxiety and ADHD have flared up today.

bringincrazyback · 17/09/2022 14:08

Managing to ride out my social anxiety so I can be active in the hobby group I belong to.

HelloMist · 18/09/2022 14:24

Responding calmly to DH to something that would normally put me on the defensive. I feel a bit embarrassed that DC noticed and said well done! 😳
