However small.

For me it's making 2 phone calls (not to family/friends) because it's something I find hard and often put off doing.

Managed a semi graceful slide off when my saddle slipped on a hack.

But this is the bit I'm really proud of - I got back on from the ground!!!! I'm 46 and have not managed that since I was a kid. To be fair I haven't tried but thank you x 1 million my year and a half of daily yoga with Adrienne.

XenoBitch · 15/09/2021 17:43

I took my head out the sand and got a vet appointment for my dog.
She will be ok. But I was convinced she was riddled with cancer. Is just a foreign body in her paw.

CiaoForNiao · 15/09/2021 17:45

Had a bath and went for a walk.
That's 2 things. Go me!

rainbowninja · 15/09/2021 20:17

@SpittinKitten 😂😂 glad the gas safety was so fruitful!

I arranged for my prescription to be delivered and cooked tea for my daughter and 2 of her friends.

HelloMist · 16/09/2021 11:47

@SpittinKitten I can sympathise with needing to tidy the kitchen for the gas safety check! Grin

This morning I'm proud that I got talking to the mum of a new child in DD's class and offered to add her to the class WA! (Had been working up the courage and waiting for the right moment).

Also, well done each of you, it's nice to read what everyone's managed to do.

Havent been on for a few days so had a bit of catching up to do, I love reading these.

Yesterday, I called out a family member who annoyed me. Usually I would silently be mad, but my DSis encouraged me to speak out and I did. I'm glad I did.

I've been thinking of going to my GP about my anxiety so maybe today or tomorrow I will pluck up the courage to make that call.

HelloMist · 16/09/2021 12:54

Thinking of you @Coffeeanddarkchoc. I hope you can be brave and make the call. Perhaps tomorrow you can update us. I made a similar call a few months ago. Are you already on the thread about anxiety/gardening/eating well? Might be another nice one to join for some positive support. I'm reading it, but haven't posted on it yet. Ps. love your nickname!

I worked on my dissertation despite some procrastination first thing.
Did an hour Les Mills workout. I am 21 weeks pregnant and it’s easy to avoid!

rainbowninja · 16/09/2021 19:51

Great username @sociallydistained 👍🏻

I helped DH in the garden today, we tackled an overgrown ivy hedge.

I started the healthy eating thread! 😊

Hm2020 · 17/09/2021 13:32

Ringing back and making apts for intensive psychotherapy and another phone call I didn’t want to make

I'm a year R teacher. Today I survived (and enjoyed) 30 children in my classroom at the same time. They did really well! Until now they have been attending school mornings or afternoons only. Absolutely exhausting but such fun!

Icewiththat · 17/09/2021 19:15

Cleared the utility and it’s totally clutter free!

Snowwhite78 · 17/09/2021 19:27

I had a good cry. I needed it. I always hold it in and today I was WFH alone. I went for it! It was loud it was ugly but I felt better after.

Snowwhite78 · 17/09/2021 19:29

@FMLpassthegin That was amazing

AWiseWomanOnceSaidFuckThisShit · 17/09/2021 19:30

Quitting smoking!!!

SandysMam · 17/09/2021 19:48

@FMLpassthegin your poem is amazing Flowers

FMLpassthegin · 17/09/2021 19:56

Thanks -it’s hardly poetry but i penned it outside A&E in the dark trying to ensure I clung on and could go find the guts to go I n and ask help - I didn’t - I was too scared of what imagined might happen so I ran home but at least I ran home calmer and went to bed to see the next day. Now it just lives in my phone to remind me to keep trucking albeit that is easier said than done.

SameToo · 17/09/2021 19:57

I was given a pay rise for my hard work 🥰

GooodGolly · 17/09/2021 20:00

The school run. Drop off and pick up! And I rearranged the furniture in my loving room. Some days I can't get anything done even though I want to.

Rodigan · 17/09/2021 20:05

Am enjoying reading this thread! Taught two Afghan refugees today (their first day at my school) and the students sitting next to them were so helpful to them.
We had some lovely smiles together!

Robin233 · 17/09/2021 20:21

Got up early on my day off and cracked on with the chores!

Nettleskeins · 17/09/2021 20:26

Threw away some things that I felt unable to before (hoarding indecision)
Scrubbed a very sticky cupboard out
Cooked a healthy tasty meal for 19 year old son and I (we've been eating rubbish all week)

Snowwhite78 · 17/09/2021 20:31

@FMLpassthegin I'm glad you're still here 💐 And I'm glad you wrote that poem. I've saved it to help me!
