Seeing all these Feeling Low Posts makes me feel like screaming THAT'S LIFE

I'm sorry

I don't really read these threads

I do know that depression is a real illness and requires medical help and I do not wish to denigrate those who are suffering in this way

I cannot help thinking that a lot of these posts stem from expecting more from life than there really is. Some people just seem to want to feel good all the time, and the things that are getting you down are JUST LIFE

I think a lot of you do need to pull your socks up and stop analysing things. just get on with your lives and make the best of it

God forbid you had something proper to worry about - like war, disease, famine

Don't seem to see many of the mothers from the SN board posting here nor those who I do see as having real problems to worry about.

perhaps she went out or her computer crashed.

I very much doubt they'd come back now after all the nasty insults.

Perhaps we should just all have our own individual threads and only post on our own and not read or post on anyone else's?

That's a joke

Think we've done this one to death - I'm going to go drink some wine and watch Battlestar Galactica (now they have problems - the world is destroyed and there are only 50,000 humans left, the Cylons are after them and the President has cancer...)

princesspeahead · 25/10/2004 21:56

they didn't leave. They watched in interest/horror for a little while, then when the first vaguely RP-sympathetic poster arrived, they started reposting under their own normal name, trying to dampen down the flames a little bit. They also went back to check some of the other feeling low threads, felt a bit guilty and posted an encouraging message on one.

didn't they, CS?!

gothicmama · 25/10/2004 21:56

Hercules and FF it is meant to be a discussion which should lead to either changes or as is often the case on MN absolutely nothing happenning and people feeling upset.
I have gained from this discussion a feeling that the feeling low section is wrongly named
that people who are genuinely feeeling low have been upset by a post that can be read to mean a number of things depending on your perspecyive and that RP didnot want to discuss

Enid · 25/10/2004 21:57

oooh ooh who is it????

(enid feels guilty as p'raps they should be left alone)

misdee · 25/10/2004 21:57

pph do u know who it was then?

hercules · 25/10/2004 21:58

cs?

gothicmama · 25/10/2004 21:58

in that case fair play to them

Enid · 25/10/2004 21:59

erm, just had a horrible thought pph? and really hurt? You can mail me if you want.

blossomhill · 25/10/2004 21:59

CS????????? I am intrigued.

hercules · 25/10/2004 21:59

I hope noone thinks it was me

princesspeahead · 25/10/2004 22:00

yes. well, I've worked it out. but it doesn't matter who it was, I think it is better that RP has been here responding to the thread, even if it is incognito, than not IYSWIM. And he/she/it is a nice regular poster so I think hercules wasn't far off in giving her the benefit of the doubt re her intentions.

Enid · 25/10/2004 22:00

well my real initials are CS and I know that pph knows who I am in real life so I am HOPING that I am wrong and she doesn't think its me and has posted my real initials - although could be paranoid (I hope!)

2wildbabies · 25/10/2004 22:03

TBH I am leaving mumsnet after this awful thread...............but if the real person is on here. Please speak and tell me what bothered you enough to write this.

I really want to know. Stop hiding. If you want a genuine discussion then show yourself

misdee · 25/10/2004 22:04

i want to know who it is. bit cowardly to start thisd and then not come back to it or admit who you are.

Enid · 25/10/2004 22:05

well I did'nt much care about their identity until now but now I wouldn't mind them 'fessing up.

gothicmama · 25/10/2004 22:05

yes it has caused far more upset

fairyfly · 25/10/2004 22:06

why would you leave twb's, i really don't get this place any longer, it is confusing my brain

blossomhill · 25/10/2004 22:06

I really don't think you should carry on giving whoever is the satisfaction of knowing they have upset you.
I think that was their intention all along, unfortunately

hercules · 25/10/2004 22:06

Are people not allowed to post anonomously no matter what they are posting? Just because you dont agree with what they say doesnt mean they have to admit who they are.

nutcracker · 25/10/2004 22:07

They haven't got the guts 2WB they are a coward.

blossomhill · 25/10/2004 22:07

I really thought it had all down and the last couple of weeks mumsnet has been like it was when I first joined.
