The doctors discharged p2 from hospital which is great. I have to go back to gp in a week if she isn't 100% and keep going with medicine (I M mastering pinning her down for the antibiotics now). I am v relieved but still concerned about her, especially her new inability to walk properly but will just have to keep an eye.

Not sure crocs will make a reliable boat...what about all those holes?!

OP posts:
magimedi · 04/10/2014 17:27

Hooray for discharge & hope P2 keeps on getting better.

We got Les crocs this morning - bright red!!! I also got one of those badges you stick in the croc holes - a dinosaur!! Tres apt!

And the Gap outlet had a sale & I stocked up on some lovely cotton T shirts (for next summer) all at £3 each & great quality. Got a couple for DS as well.

rowrowrowtheboat · 05/10/2014 09:35

Great news Pumble. I'm sure P2 is very tired and worn out, and that over the week you will see her improve. Have a lovely lazy week of doing not very much snuggled on the sofa coupled with not doing much else than kicking the autumn leaves in the park. Rest your bodies inside the house and recharge your spirits outside the house.

Bright red crocs! Sound divine! What a successful shopping trip.

I'm back from a weekend away with DH, which was lovely. London seems even further from my life than ever before - the sounds, the smells, the pace, everything is different. Or maybe I'm just getting older!

My most wonderful MIL kept the girls for an extra night so off to pick them up shortly, just finishing a relaxing breakfast first.

magimedi · 05/10/2014 09:45

How lovely to have a child free w/e away.

I also find London quite a trial these days - it's so noisy & grubby.

Was thinking about P2 & I really wouldn't worry about the walking too much - suspect it's just a bit of regression & tiredness. When I had that allergic reaction to penicillin my legs ached so much I was creeping about like an 80 year old. I can't tell you how much my legs ached.

magimedi · 06/10/2014 17:58

Hallo!

How's P2? Much better, I hope.

It has rained all day here today.

It is berluddy froid as well.

I have put the heating on.

I have had to put socks on - the horror, I hate socks.

I want to go & live somewhere where Ican wear shorts & T shirt all year round.

Went out to go to the library & do some shopping & it was cold & my jeans got soaked when I walked through a puddle (by mistake).

It might be Monday but SOD it. I am going to have a gin Grin

rowrowrowtheboat · 06/10/2014 21:08

Given the fact you've been forced to wear socks, the gin is medicinal! Feeling better now? Cold and wet here too, but I am not putting the heating on yet! Got my jumper on though.

Ps socks are cosy, I hate cold feet...

Pumble · 06/10/2014 22:00

How can you hate socks?! They are cosy and warm (although not in bed).

A definite chill in the air today and torrential rain-autumn has come. I do love winter months though and darker evenings so I'm not totally unhappy about it, but do prefer dry and cold!

P2 continuing to improve. Back home tonight after a few says recuperating chez mes parents. Her arms now look like she is covered in lots of tiny bruises.... Lovely. Taking p1 back to nursery tomo-fingers crossed.

Weekend away sounds bliss row-v jealous. Mr P and I could so with some child free time.

OP posts:
magimedi · 06/10/2014 22:18

Soxs are the work of the devil!

My feet are as free as my (late 60's) spirit.

I love to feel the earth beneath mes peids!

So happy to hear that P2 is improving.

PS I H. A. T. E. winter - so expect lots of moans from moi during les next few months!

Pumble · 06/10/2014 22:41

How do you feel about slippers?! Any better than socks?!Wink

OP posts:
magimedi · 07/10/2014 07:21

Not keen on slippers, especially furry ones.

TBH I'm an old hippy who likes to be barefott best of all!

magimedi · 07/10/2014 07:22

foot

(It's early!))

magimedi · 07/10/2014 22:08

Tomorrow is Ds's birthday.

Some 30+ year ago I was in hospital, sucking in that gas & air.

He arrived at about 3am tomorrow.

I can't believe how fast those years have gone & when I looked at him for the first time, how very little he has changed since then.

Happy Birthday, my darling boy - my love for you has never altered.

Please excuse an old mama here.

rowrowrowtheboat · 08/10/2014 18:14

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you happy birthday Magi's DS, happy birthday to you!

Lovely post Magi.

I hope you bought him some socks.

Glad P2 is improving.

magimedi · 08/10/2014 22:56

I have never bought him soxs (as a present). Only as a requirement for school.

My PFB is like his mama - does not like sox & shoes!

I brung him up OK!!

Pumble · 08/10/2014 23:11

Happy happy birthday to your DS magi-lovely, lovely words. Am very disappointed there were no warm and cosy socks given though!

I hope you raised a glass to celebrate having raised a super boy as I'm sure you did.

OP posts:
Pumble · 09/10/2014 11:43

Clearly P1 is a sock fan too-she asked me to knit her some socks this morning!

OP posts:
Pumble · 09/10/2014 20:12

Just done a rather scary audition. Am feeling rather proud of myself. Not optimistic of outcome but good experience.

How's life with you all? How are the cold feet?!

OP posts:
rowrowrowtheboat · 10/10/2014 21:17

Sounds interesting! When do you find out?

All ok here. I have wine and gogglebox. Smile

Pumble · 10/10/2014 21:32

Find out sometime tomorrow. Nothing massively exciting but would be a good move.

Thinking of going and snuggling up in bed-so tired!! My life is very rock 'n' roll Wink

OP posts:
rowrowrowtheboat · 10/10/2014 21:49

Go snuggle, if you are feeling really rock and roll, get out your bed socks!

Good luck tomorrow.

magimedi · 10/10/2014 22:21

Sounds so exciting, Pumble - all fingers & toes crossed here for tomorrow.

Tomorrow nous sommes going to La Belle France, pour la day. C'est un exercise (dawn raid) on Calais to stock up avec Wine, fromage, coffee, groundnut oil (££ cheaper), chocolate (the lovely noir one avec sesame seeds wot I can eat a whole bar of in one sitting), sardines (!) pate, gherkins & chicory.

I love chicory - it is my numero uno fave veg - & costs a berluddy fortune here, mais, dans La Belle France, 5 chicons are about 1 euro!

And DH has been tres particulaire about le volume of essence dans la voiture & we will be running sur fumes quand we arriverons par ce que c'est at least 40p per litre moins cher.

Et je can wave to DS - il est only an 8+ hour drive from Calais, mais je will be breathing la meme air que lui demain!

How is P2???

A demain!

Pumble · 10/10/2014 22:47

That's just our sort of day trip to Calais magi-can I come?!

P2 still not right but definitely improving and moving in the right direction.

No socks but an electric blanket....!!!

rowrowrowtheboat · 12/10/2014 21:49

How's the weekend been then everyone?

Hope P2 is continuing to improve.

We've had the sickness bug with DD1 here. Poor love.

magimedi · 12/10/2014 22:25

So sorry to hear about sickness bug - hope you don't get it, row.

W/E OK here - France was good, (Wine)

My washing machine went silly last week & am awaiting repair man tomorrow. Machine is 17 years old so will only go to £100 for repair but, dear lord, how I miss it!

Pumble · 13/10/2014 14:53

How's your dd row? Have the rest of you escaped it? Fingers crossed.

How's the washing machine? Hope it was an easy repair.

P2 continuing to improve-we will get there Smile
