More hugs and positive thoughts coming your way. You must be worried sick. Have you got your phone charger? Speak to your DH and parents often, do as Magi says and have just a few minutes outside in fresh air, it will reinvigorate you. And yes, eat, not empty stuff like biscuits and crisps, try and get some carbs in you, something that will give you energy. The emotional drain will be sapping your strength and you need to replace it.

So, tomorrows jobs: get a good breakfast from the hospital, grab some bananas and flapjacks or something to graze on, do lots of sitting with P2 and being there with her, take a walk around the car park for some fresh air, and lastly, talk to an adult at various times of the day, just to offload.

Look after yourself.

(((((Hugs))))

Pumble · 29/09/2014 22:34

Snatching a quiet moment to update. She's still covered in rash and spots and feet still v swollen with toes stuck together but she's much better in herself which is fantastic. They still don't know what's causing it though.

Worryingly p1 has beginnings of rash but they are letting her go home now. (She's currently asleep in my bed). Seeing as she will be back in the morning we can easily monitor.

Keeping both pumblettes amused in a small room all day was hard, especially as no tv and I broke my iPad but we managed it.

I will try to eat and get out tomorrow for a bit I promise!

Thank you for hugs. Off to settle p2 for medicine....

Checking in & can't offer you any better advice than row has.

Really hoping to hear some good news in the morning.

Goodnight & I hope you get a decent bit of sleep.

And, as ever, huge hugs to all the Pumble family.

magimedi · 29/09/2014 22:36

I got some sleep as did p2. Grin She would still be sleeping now but they had to wake to get drugs in her. Such s positive she slept though Grin

OP posts:
magimedi · 30/09/2014 08:28

Delighted to hear you both got sleep.

My father was a doctor & he used to say that "sleep is better than all the medicines in the world".

Please try to get out in the fresh air for a short time this morning, Pumble.

rowrowrowtheboat · 30/09/2014 09:55

Pleased to hear the update. When you go out, can you get some magazines on the way back for the Pumbles?

How are you doing?

If I was closer I'd be bringing you meals on wheels and some cards for snap and a magic wand to send all the illness and tiredness away.

Ps Listen to Magi!! We expect a weather report later.....

Pumble · 30/09/2014 11:45

We can leave later! Smile

As she can now have antibiotics orally and fever down they want to see if she recovers better at home but back for cx check up on Friday and direct access until then if anything needed.

So relieved but apprehensive about that responsibility at home if that makes sense. Especially getting antibiotics in her!

Smile

Hi Pumble, what great news! So pleased. Magi's dad said there is nothing better than sleep, I think if that's the case there is nothing better than your own bed.

It's normal to feel apprehensive, but think about how you can manage it. Can you have the ward number so you can call and check on a question you have. You have a back up - you have direct access so you can go in again if you feel she needs it. You will feel anxious - if you can explain that you may feel a little more anxious than some given the time you have had over the last few years, I would hope they would say they would be happy to speak to you on the phone so you are not exhausted by worry when a call could settle you for the night. Talk to DH about what concerns you most, so that he can help you manage both all the Pumbles and your apprehension and emotions.
You are not alone, and remember how wondful Mr Pumble has been before.

Can you swiftly follow antibiotics with a treat, how is she taking medicine? I followed the medicine with a nice treat straight away if the medicine allows it)

Enjoy some big cuddles with P1 at home, ignore studiously and without waver all housework and maybe have an early evening nap when DH is awake so that when you feel most anxious, in the middle of the night, you have had some sleep.

Hope you get home soon.

magimedi · 30/09/2014 17:01

Great news. Hope by now you are at home & settling back in.

You are bound to feel a bit anxious but you are her Mum & know her best, which the hospital also knows & they won't be at all annoyed if you ring or bring her back (which I hope you don't have to). They wouldn't let you out if they were worried about P2 or thought you couldn't cope.

Also second ignoring housework - just try to catch up on some sleep/relaxing time - you must be knackered.

rowrowrowtheboat · 30/09/2014 21:13

Hope all is well and all the Pumbles are resting.

Magi, I also have ignored homework and done a couple of hours homework today, so I'm off and running and feel better for it. Lots more to do, but the beginnings are there!

magimedi · 30/09/2014 22:11

Hope you aren't reading this, Pumble & are in bed having great sleep.

And hope that P2 is back on form tomorrow.

Well done on the home work, Row.

A demain - as they dit en France!

Pumble · 01/10/2014 13:47

We had a good night again and p2 continuing to improve. Hard to get medicine in but in getting better at my technique. She's still covered and feet still bad with some new marks but at least she's improving in herself.

My mum has come down for today and tomorrow to help me out. I'm shattered and just want to curl in a ball but know I need to keep going.

OP posts:
magimedi · 01/10/2014 14:48

So pleased that your Mum is with you - and am not surprised you are shattered, don't worry about that, it will get better.

So pleased to hear that P2 is improving as well.

Pumble · 01/10/2014 14:51

I am a muppet though. I put a load of washing on last night and hung it out this morning. When I went to take it in I realised it didn't smell fresh. I had put no washing liquid in so having to do again!! So not with it!!

OP posts:
rowrowrowtheboat · 01/10/2014 21:02

Oh you muppet! Hope you have a good night again, and you are off to bed now if not already.

Me? I'll be off to bed the moment I find the mystery place I have put my daughters birthday card. Looked in all the obvious places and I have no idea now where to look! It will take me hours to find it....

magimedi · 02/10/2014 17:33

How are things today? Hope P2 is improving & you are feeling less tired.

Hope card is found - I had to do a mad dash to card shop & PO to get card for DS for next week & post it off. La poste en France n'est pas as bon as la poste in UK - ca c'est saying something!

Can't believe he's going to be 33 - he's very nearly a "groan up" (as we call them here)!

rowrowrowtheboat · 02/10/2014 20:44

Nope, no sign of the card! I've got an alternative now.

It is tres bien to see a little French again!

How are the Pumbles doing?

magimedi · 02/10/2014 22:20

I think you have to take P2 back to hospital for a check tomorrow?

Hope that all goes well & that she has a 110% bill of health.

Whatever is happening, dear Pumble, you know that we are here pour you & send you many, many, (((XXX))).

PS You do know that one day, one fine jour, the three of us are going to have to meet???

rowrowrowtheboat · 02/10/2014 22:44

Oui oui oui, whatever is happening, we are here.

Oooh magi, it sounds like a scene from MacBeth, when shall we three meet again

I'll be thinking of good health and happiness for the Pumbles tomorrow. And of course good health and happiness to the Magi household too. May the house be fragrant with no southerly gusts Wink

Pumble · 03/10/2014 10:10

The French is making me smile-thanks magi!

That card will turn up the day after the birthday? When is it? What are you doing for it?

We are back in hospital for the check up. P2 is so much better in herself but just not right if that makes sense. I am hoping they will take me seriously.

P1 coping admirably with everything although obviously a little out of sorts.

I feel I have read all your news but not taken it inso shall ho back and read when I'm a little more with it!

I've always fancied being part of a cavern....Wink

OP posts:
magimedi · 03/10/2014 16:29

Les crocs were supposed to be seulement pour la plage mais, sadly, il dit que they are les plus comfortable shoes il a ever worn.
