Doing a night flight so plenty of time left to panic... We have the pumblettes most prized bunnies and passports so I guess anything else is a bonus!!!! Smile

OP posts:
magimedi · 03/09/2014 16:10

Credit cards & your own passports are the next things that spring to mind!

Hope the Pummblettes sleep on the flight. Have one, just one, drink when they first come round. It will relax you & won't hurt at all.

Have a wonderful time!

Pumble · 23/09/2014 19:13

Just checking in to say we are still here!!

P1 started nursery today and still recovering from holiday (which had some bumps....) but we are all ok. Saw so much wildlife, don't think a zoo will be exciting enough for the pumblettes for a while. Will fill you in later.

Could really do with a hug and a coffee/drink with a friend who knows everything though!! It's a bugger you're not closer!!!

Hope the term has started well row and you're enjoying your holiday Magi.

Why do you need a hug Pumble? Do you need to talk?

Can't wait today more about your hols. How has nursery gone?

rowrowrowtheboat · 24/09/2014 22:08

Can't wait to hear...... Grrrr. My typing skills haven't improved as you can see.

Come and talk, here or by PM.

Pumble · 26/09/2014 22:04

Currently lying on the floor next to p2 as she has raging tonsillitis Hmm. She keeps saying ow and saying it hurts. Wish I could make it better for her Hmm

OP posts:
rowrowrowtheboat · 27/09/2014 20:18

Oh dear, poor thing. I hope she is feeling better today. Focus on letting her rest, and for you too. P1 can steal some cuddles and mummy time when P2 is resting.

Sending get well vibes.

Pumble · 27/09/2014 20:43

Just to add to the fun...she started her antibiotics this morning and we quickly discovered she's allergic to penicillin Hmm. New ones are helping but still v poorly and p1 not well now either Hmm

Fun times! Smile

OP posts:
rowrowrowtheboat · 27/09/2014 21:04

Poor poor thing. Hopefully the new drugs will kick it into touch and she will be improving tomorrow. Come on P1, get well soon too.
Batten down the hatches Pumble, lots of tlc this weekend and maybe Mr Pumble will run you a bath so you can have some time to recharge those batteries.

Pumble · 27/09/2014 23:04

It's going to be another very long night.... Not helped by my temperature and cold either... I know everything looks bleak when I'm tired, so dreading 3am again. Hmm

Pumble · 27/09/2014 23:12

OP posts:
rowrowrowtheboat · 28/09/2014 07:42

The antibiotics will kick in soon. Hold on. Rest as much as you can and ignore any jobs.

Mr p will look after you, it will soon pass for all of you.

Pumble · 28/09/2014 10:10

Back with doctor... She's a v poorly little girl Hmm

OP posts:
magimedi · 28/09/2014 11:12

So sorry to come back & hear all the tales of illness.

P2 has every sympathy from me re being allergic to penicillin - that in itself makes you feel awful.

Hope the doc can do something for her & will pop in later to see how she is.

Hols were lovely & great to spend time with DS & DIL. We met them at Gatwick the night before (early am flight) & when we went to have a drink DIL said she's just have a juice. I was MOST surprised as her normal cry is "Boooooozzzeeeeee" . They then told us that she is offf the sauce as they have started trying to conceive!

Have to say that by the end of the hols I was convinced that they have succeeded & she is v early preg. She has "that look" - can't describe it but am sure YKWIM. Also fely v tired a lot of the time & constantly popping off to wee!

I won't know anything for a while as they said they would not have siad anything has they not been with us but felt they had to as DIL being TT would have aroused my suspicions in moments! If she is they aren't going to say anything until 12 weeks, which I totally agree with.

You lot are the only people I am telling so you are most priviliged!

Hope your course is going well, Row - looking forward to hearing about it.

Pumble · 28/09/2014 16:00

P2 been admitted. In the best place j know but hard all the same

OP posts:
magimedi · 28/09/2014 16:13

So sorry to hear that - is this for the tonsilitis or are there other issues as well?

Really tough for all of you - nothing worse when your DCs are ill - you just want to be ill for them.

If you are in with her, take care of yourself as well - remember to drink enough, hospitals are so dry & dehydrating.

Sending you a big hug (((XXX)))

rowrowrowtheboat · 28/09/2014 16:49

Oh Pumble, P2 is having a rough time. I hope she rallies round soon. You have all looked out for her over this weekend, and you must all be exhausted, hopefully the spell on hospital will speed up her recovery.

You must be missing P1. Can you get some paper and pencils from the hospital shop and make P1 a card she can have? My P1 loves swapping pictures we have drawn for each other and it may pick her up from feeling poorly too.

Ohhhhh, Magi, how exciting! I know exactly what you mean, DH's family guessed immediately when I was expecting, his grandmother definately knew when I was just 4 weeks! Glad you had a fab holiday.

The course is great, loving being in school, and college is good, but lots of homework and it is only week two! I've got to keep my head down and keep on top of it otherwise I'll be drowning not waving!

magimedi · 28/09/2014 17:22

Row - many years ago when I did a course that involved quite a lot of homework I would prioritise that over all the housework! Cooking/cleaning/washing etc will get done because it has to get done, but it is far too easy to let your homework slide & say "I'll do it when I've done........(insert boring household chore).

Still thinking of you, Pumble & hoping P2 is on the mend asap.

magimedi · 28/09/2014 22:46

Just checking in before bedtime - really hope to hear some good news tomorrow.

HUGE hugs (((xxx))) to all the Pumble family.

And I hope you all get a good nights sleep.

Pumble · 28/09/2014 23:58

Still in.... She has a really nasty rash that won't stop spreading and swollen feet and toes as well as tonsillitis. All in all a poorly girl and they can't work out what's wrong with her so a worrying time. Hoping to get some sleep but a v restless p2. Thank you for hugs - much needed and appreciated Smile

OP posts:
magimedi · 29/09/2014 07:46

Hope you got some sleep, Pumble & that P2 is better this morning.

If she is still in hospital today, try to make sure that you get out of the building, even if just for 15 mins or so. Important that you get some fresh air & look after yourself as well.

More hugs for you all - (((XXX)))

Pumble · 29/09/2014 11:34

Hi. They are treating her for a nasty bacterial infection and allergic reaction. They're not sure which or both but said they can't wait to find out which. Here for at least another 24 hours. I feel so drained and helpless!

OP posts:
Pumble · 29/09/2014 11:37

And poor love can't leave the roomHmm

OP posts:
magimedi · 29/09/2014 13:45

So sorry to hear this news.

Am not surprised you feel drained - please try to get out, if only for 15 mins or so. It really will make you feel better & it is important that you are OK as well.

Will keep checking.

(((XXX)))

rowrowrowtheboat · 29/09/2014 16:08

Oh dear. Keep on in there, snatch naps when P2 does, can you lie with her? It sounds scary and hard but you are in the right place, getting care and attention.

Hugs from here too.
