Down side is I can't remember what was suggested. CPN said she'd ring after she sorted the crisis team, but she hasn't. Ah well, at least I'm not desperate.

SnowyMouse · 12/07/2013 19:23

Hm, nothing from crisis team. Perhaps I misunderstood.

SnowyMouse · 12/07/2013 19:59

CT are coming to see me tomorrow. They will want to know what support I need, always a tricky one.

TheSilveryPussycat · 12/07/2013 20:55

Hi snowy well you went :) I don't know why they couldn't write a couple of notes about what's been decided, I too am crap at remembering that kind of thing, it's an ordinary appt for them, but for us it's quite different...

I went on a good course about managing bi-polar (and realised I didn't seem to experience my mh difficulties in the same way as others with similar diagnosis). It was a great course though. Is there anything like that for you I wonder - although it might be too scarey?

Made the real coffee for the ice cream yesterday, then decided it was stale - packet too old. So today made some with that posh instant, and let me tell you it's going to be lush :)

Am unbelievably hot, been teetering on a sloping flowerbed getting sticky-jack (NE for what southerners call goose-grass) out of it. Durham Miners' Gala tomorrow, haven't been for years, think it might be another sweaty day for me Blush

I'm hoping to go on a coping with voices course when Mind next run one, it's stress, anxiety, depression at the moment. i seem to remember the day hospital does short courses too.

(((( UA )))) I don't know what to say. It must be very hard for you, I hope you get good advice from people here and elsewhere.

LEMisdisappointed · 12/07/2013 21:37

UA I am so sorry to read this about your son, it can be quite common for teenagers to do this, its been a tough time for your family and the anger/frustration has to go somewhere. My DD struggled terribly when my dad died and she went right off the rails for a bit. She was about 15 at the time, it was fucking awful i'll admit, but we got through it and she is a lovely young lady of 23 now. Im very proud of her. I know that doesn't help, but I just wanted to let you know that they can come round from these difficult times. My DD had anger management and counselling, arranged via her school. I am sure you will get lots of advice and support on the teen board xx

Snowy - so pleased that you got through today, i knew you could do it.

Im a bit of a space cadet just now - had a good few days and forgot my meds Blush feels horrid.

ColouringInQueen · 12/07/2013 22:49

(((Hugs))) ua so sorry to hear about your ds. So hard on top of everything else you have going on. Good idea to go on teen boards, and really glad to hear your sister is coming tomorrow. Thinking of you lots tonight x

ed course sounds good. that ice cream sounds fab Smile

snowy hope you enjoyed the pizza, any thoughts about what to say to ct tomorrow?

lem how're you doing now?

Another very tired day, but good chat with dh this eve.

Apprehensive about tomorrow - have work reunion bbq and need to get a few answers prepped re what I'm doing - I think I'll be the only one not in work... plus its outside and will be boiling!

Hello to everyone else x

Quikie....

Thanks for the thanks about ice cream but wasn't me :D

Love to try some though.

I love coffee flavoured things though but don't drink coffee.

Chest gettibg worse. I have that coarse 'catching' on the throat sensation every time I breathe in. Kind of reminds me of that gritty passive smoking sensation I used to get when around my smoking parents. Lots of gunk on my chest in the mornings. Sound like a squeaking mouse in the evenings but dr says my chest is clear.

Mood and motivation lowering a bit.

Long evening spent with neighbour, very motivational...consuming 3 bottles of wine Shock.

I had a DD that self harmed. Mainly scratching herself with her own fingernails. I stay vigilant but have never sought professional help. Hugr hugs .

Drunken wave and goodnight.

TheSilveryPussycat · 13/07/2013 08:06

Twas me with the ice cream - had some at 11.30 pm and it was lush.

Sending strength to all who need it, have to post and run. xxx

ColouringInQueen · 13/07/2013 09:22

Its boiling here already. We're outside at a bbq from 2! Trying to work out what to wear... and searching for big straw hat..

Morning everyone hope you manage to cope with the heat today. Get those ice cube trays in the freezer x

LEMisdisappointed · 13/07/2013 09:47

I used to self harm as a teenager - looking back i think it was an act of rebellion.

SnowyMouse · 13/07/2013 14:05

CT used the word cripple so I asked them to leave. They will phone once tomorrow but that's it.

Notsoblonde · 13/07/2013 16:16

Sad snowy why would they say that, its not professional at all ((hugs))

hoochymama1 · 13/07/2013 17:32

Oh, how cruel you are, Silvery, to keep on about your delicious ice creamHmm I am nominating you to have a little stall in the village giving us yummy icy things..Smile Free!!

UA sorry to hear about ds, how about a referral to CAMHS through the gp? My ds has depression, this time last year we had the ct round every day, however, to echo LEM, he is now way better. A lot of what triggered his illness was my fathers death Sad

Snowy I am so proud of you for engaging with the MH team on Friday. I was thinking of you all day.
They do sound like a bunch of muppets, however, and what an offensive thing to say Angry
But.
Don't, whatever you do, use it as an excuse for not engaging with them. Just comply. Don't give them the least little excuse, let them adjust the meds, and show them that you want to be well and independent Grin

Much love toEd and Vicar hope you get better soon.

Hugs to Notso and Ciq,hope the work thing goes well, I hate those kind of things, I have to hand portfolio in on Mon and am dreading seeing everyone. I bottled it last time and ran home Blush

Bobblyand Mouses hope that you are feeling better, stick with it. I still get nauseous with the sertraline.

Ds's girlfriend here all day, feel so hot and bothered and out of synch due to finishing, I reckon someone will have to give me a timetable come tuesday..

SnowyMouse · 13/07/2013 18:04

After seeing the psychiatrist I don't think the situation is as poor as my CPN was making out. They haven't made any changes to meds as far as I can tell. I did acquiesce to the phone call (instead of a visit) Hmm It was tempting to go for nothing, but I resisted doing that.

The heat's getting to me too, a friend has just said it's 31.4 C!

TheSilveryPussycat · 13/07/2013 19:55

snowy Shock

SnowyMouse · 13/07/2013 19:59

it was someone who doesn't have English as a first language.

SnowyMouse · 13/07/2013 20:52

Good night all. Tomorrow is another day.

ThatVikRinA22 · 13/07/2013 22:34

good night snowy - if english isnt their first language then perhaps just try to put it down to that....ignore and move on. self preservation is more important here than politically correct turns of speech - try not to read anything into it, forget it, move on.

tough day for me a bit really today but manageable - long day though and wearing a stab vest in this heat is NOT fun.....plus i ate brekky at 7 and got nothing else - nothing - not even a bloody drink - until 5pm....i took water in the car but it ended up getting to warm to drink - id left it in the car.

got a couple of things to finish tomorrow from today but nothing major.

i dont think my supervisor likes me much....id forgotten the definition of an RTC and had to check something with him.....he seems impatient with me and yet told me nto to ask anyone else anything but to go to him....a bit confused.

am counting the days until my break from work - ive booked holiday even though im going no where.

i am plotting for next year though - still looking. But i will need a house sitter for the animals - cant find anyone willing or able.

i have money worries but im ignoring them.
steadfastly ignoring them. along with other problems. my DDs boyfriend lost his friend in a car accident yesterday. Sad he was only 16.

SnowyMouse · 14/07/2013 12:51

Oh no :( poor DD's boyfriend's family. Work sounds tough at the moment, good idea to book a break from it.
