x-post

had a v nothingy day, must get on with stuff. One thing I may do is make some coffee ice cream - need to get cream and look up recipe

stealth boast but only if I actually manage to make some

TheSilveryPussycat · 11/07/2013 15:46

x-post again

Your psych, as all good psychs, will of course be aware that if you seem v unwell returning to hosp may be a possibility. But it is only a possibility, the same as my psych would have in his head when he sees patients.

It sounds like your cpn may have raised concerns. But unless the psych sees you, how can she judge the validity of cpn's concerns?

SnowyMouse · 11/07/2013 15:50

It's an ideal day for icecream Smile

That's true re: needing to see me, I was looking back and the only concrete things they have is two short emails, so I can't see the why for the fuss if that makes sense?

TheSilveryPussycat · 11/07/2013 15:55

Can't see the why for the fuss - what a brilliant expression I will nick it

All patients under the CMHT need regular reviewing by their psych, whatever stage of recovery they are at. And if meds are not doing their work, psych can tweak them.

SnowyMouse · 11/07/2013 15:59

The psych is on leave after tomorrow for a few weeks. I think they will want to tweak meds, but I'm very aware that CPN is concerned. Thanks for chatting, TSP

TheSilveryPussycat · 11/07/2013 16:04

My pleasure, snowy. I will now make some v strong proper coffee as first step in ice cream - and that is a direct result of us having a chat, so Thanks and [hug] and Brew

ThatVikRinA22 · 11/07/2013 16:36

hey snowy - how do you feel within yourself? Do you feel that she is being unfair in her assessment?
do you feel better than she thinks you do?
its hard to engage when you least feel like it - but you must try to be seen to cooperate - even if it feels pointless - sometimes we just cannot trust our feelings with this illness. I truly thought i was fine - until i wasnt fine anymore.

if the thought of being sectioned is what is holding you back then i think you should be honest about it to them - they maybe dont realise that casual references are making you very jumpy....

you need them to level with you instead of you trying to guess whats going on.

can you just ask outright? is there anyone who can help you practically with some of this? it might help alleviate some of the stress around the appointment.

OP posts:
SnowyMouse · 11/07/2013 17:06

I'm not great vicar, but soso, but I didn't think I was sectionable last time. Hmm I think one reason they get concerned is because I live alone. I definitely need to be seen to be compliant, I'm sure of that (been told to stop pushing people away) I will ask them to be open with me, good idea.

How's your chest infection?

LEMisdisappointed · 11/07/2013 21:02

Hi everyone - just checking in

Good luck for tomorrow snowy, be honest about how you feel tell them the meetings make you nervous because you are worried about them sectioning you again. This time tomorrow, it will over :)

TSP - coffee icecream you say? Well, it would be rude not to!! very impressive!

I am so knackered - had a good day though, on the beach all day with DD's class - fossil hunting with a real live geologist. He was really interesting and i found out loads of stuff i didn't know about my local beach.

SnowyMouse · 11/07/2013 21:05

Thanks LEM

Take care everyone

SnowyMouse · 11/07/2013 21:32

Hmm, benefits program on bbc1 is frustrating!

ThatVikRinA22 · 11/07/2013 22:24

chest - seems worse today. really hard work breathing. Sad thanks for asking snowy - im a bit bothered as im back to work at the weekend.

never mind - i will keep taking the tablets!

im fantasy holiday hunting for next year. DH says we are having a holiday next year come hell or high water so im just trying to price things up - but im getting boss eyed looking.

we are all antisocial old buggers in my house so we like a villa - then we can continue to be antisocial while sunning ourselves! Villas used to be dirt cheap on the owners direct site but now its quite eyewatering!

so im looking but i think it may well be in vein - and having done a package deal once complete with cockroaches i would rather not go than do that again....

its a villa or nowt. (likely to be nowt!)

Hi everyone,

Welcome to caramel hope you have managed to speak to your gp. Take care.

(((Hugs))) to snowy and ua - so sorry to hear about your dbrother. Wishing you both a peaceful nights sleep and good luck with appt snowy.

hoochy well done on finishing your placement! Hope you got to celebrate tonight.

lem good for you doing school trip - lovely day to be on the beach Smile

Hello spc, ed, vicar really hope h your antibiotics luck in soon, and happy birthday to your dd.

bobbly thanks for your thoughts yest. I know exactly what you mean about things being better than you expect.

I did go, after a dose of chocolate. It was hard though, found it v difficult. Two 'friends' positioned themselves at opposite end of table to me. I was at on end with no-one opposite. Was next to a nice mum so did chat with her but did feel the odd one out.

Better day today, had a lie in till 11 Smile went to timber yard with dh to start getting wood for treehouse we're planning to build this summer holidays, so that was good. Pub lunch with dh, dd had new friend round after school, and tonight saw very well known comedy person which was fun. Tired now - of to bed....

Thinking of you all x

Notsoblonde · 12/07/2013 00:04

Hi everyone :), not been on in a while but have been lurking am now on week 3 of my sertraline, I am feeling a bit...lighter? I think not dwelling on things so much so that's good, also feel I have a bit more motivation also. Am still getting some nausea and indigestion ( which I NEVER get) so hoping that improves soon. I am on holiday for these 2 weeks and dh is away back to work for a month so this will be the testing time to see if the meds are helping as this is usually when I get worse.

we are on week 2 of our school holidays in Scotland, I have been trying to keep dc entertained, cinema, sleep overs, parks etc, we have had a day in today as I felt really anxious yesterday but on hindsight I think I have done way too much.

Welcome caramel :)

vicar how long have you been on antibiotics now? If its longer than 2 days I would go back to gp, you may not be on the right type of antibiotic, please don't do what I did and wait a full week before I went back (it was an awful chest infection) and then they changed the antibiotic and it was only then I started to improve.

snowy have been looking out for your updates and will be thinking about you tomorrow, I hope your appt goes well.

lem the fossil hunting sounds fab.

spc coffee ice cream sounds delicious, dh and I love those ice cold coffees that you get.

ua (((((hugs)))))). So sorry your going through all this heartache just now.

ciq treehouse sounds great :)

bobbly glad your feeling a bit better, hope the sleeping improves soon.

ed how is your cough today?

mouses hope you having a better day today.

hoochy well done on finishing placement.

ColouringInQueen · 12/07/2013 09:30

Hi notso lovely to hear from you and glad to hear the sertraline is starting to take effect. Well done on surviving the first week of the school hols - that is a major achievement Smile

Need to engage brain and make some plans for ours, but I also want them to entertain themselves sometimes too.

Very tired again this morning Hmm which is annoying. Need to do a supermarket run and 30 mins exercise this morning but am still on sofa. I am also beginning to wonder if for me, it's not poss to lose weight on fluox. Have been good all week food wise, and done 30 mins exercise a day, but no difference at all which is unusual. Oh well.

Hope everyone's ok this morning. Chilly here but promise of sun later.

Notsoblonde · 12/07/2013 09:39

Maybe not lose weight but if your doing the exercise then it will increase your fitness which is great, I love my bike but when dh is away its very difficult to get anyone to watch the girls to get out on it, dd1 is ok she is 8 and can ride but dd2 is still on stabilisers so ha bought this trailor gator.

ColouringInQueen · 12/07/2013 09:47

Yes do feel better for the exercise so trying to hold onto that! Dh enjoys his cycling too (too hilly round here for me!) Yes my dd8 can ride and ds on stabilisers too Smile. Will see what dh makes of a tailgator.

Think I am going to have to resort to a power nap and then try again this morning. ..

Notsoblonde · 12/07/2013 09:50

I got mine on eBay was half the price of halfords etc, am hoping it comes today and will report back ;) enjoy your nap.

LEMisdisappointed · 12/07/2013 10:08

Notso - we bought a "tag along" for DD from a client for £20 it was by far the best thing we have ever bought for her. She is 7 and can ride her bike (but only in a straight line) so this means we can go on longer rides as a family. She absolutely loves it, although i reckon that it has delayed her actually getting to ride her bike. It doesn't fit on my bike so we can't go on our own, only with DP im quite happy to let him pull the extra weight :)

ColouringInQueen · 12/07/2013 12:02

Aargh awake now but back on the sofa Hmm will try a wander round the garden to try and get myself going...

ColouringInQueen · 12/07/2013 12:52

Nope exercise and shopping are not going to be happening today. Have done a bit of gardening. Then will ice some buns for school fayre and that will be it I think.

SnowyMouse · 12/07/2013 14:25

I survived. I've agreed to the crisis team, and they'd like day hospital too, but I get to think about that til Monday. Hmm

Am I glad that's over, got an appointment in a couple of weeks when the psych is back.

ColouringInQueen · 12/07/2013 14:46

Well done snowy, really pleased you managed to make it and crisis team sounds like a good support.

Hope you can relax a bit now.

Have done some gardening and icing, school run next. ..

SnowyMouse · 12/07/2013 15:38

Thanks CiQ, I'm thinking of having chinese later as a reward, or pizza (depends if I can hold out til 6:00).

Good luck with the school run.

I'm not looking forward to the heat tomorrow, 29 is predicted Shock

SnowyMouse · 12/07/2013 15:43

That didn't last too long, it's pizza
