Upwardandonward · 14/08/2011 18:56

A rest seems a good plan - no need to be sorry or talk about whinges :)

I'm not in a great state, but also not keen on fiddling with meds more...which may be suggested this week, but I hope not.

cityhobgoblin · 14/08/2011 20:06

YThank

cityhobgoblin · 14/08/2011 20:16

Oops , sorry Blush
You are amazingly lovely upward , thank you .

So sorry you're not well & I can certainly see why you feel that way about the drugs , especiallygiven that the effects complex for you .

It would be nice if your team could give you a break from the sideeffects caused by increasing dosage - no doubt they feel the same - but if they should suggest perseveing with changes Sad, it would obviously be due to wanting you to feel the best you can at the moment . Hope you won't have to ,

Her Magnificence would like to come & curl up at your feet , if you don't mind ? She sdoes nore slightly < noisy feline inhalations >

Hello people, sorry to be absent but been unexpectedly ill today, nausea worst but struggle to breathe due sudden chest problem - will hope to contact soon and all best wishes

Upwardandonward · 14/08/2011 21:55

Oh dear :( I hope you get some relief soon shodatin

cityhobgoblin · 14/08/2011 23:33

Oh no shodatin , sorry you're suffering . These things always seem to happen at the weekend ...

I hesitate to say this but am concerned about the combination of chest problems with nausea - I always drag loved ones to OOH doc for this . Please be vigilant if you've ever had any heart trouble at all ? I have a minor problem myself & as relatives with it , I 'm always subconsciously over vigilant if anyone who says they have upset tummy with chest problems / ache in back ... so sorry , bet I'm making you feel better Sad.

I'm going to be up all night (!) finishing the house stuff so will check on in case you feel rotten & should want company .
Hope you have another night of unbroken sleep , upward . Really enjoying having you back .Smile

cityhobgoblin · 14/08/2011 23:46

Me againBlush
Sorry shodatin , this is a rotten return you're getting for making the effort to post when ill .

Obviously a sudden cost infection or bout of 'flu could cause these symptoms , but unless you have asthma I feel breathing probs is a very concerning symptom & that a doctor should examine you . w onder if you've felt it's worth contacting the OOH GP service ? < says she who's refused to go to hospital during severe asthma attacks >

cityhobgoblin · 15/08/2011 06:35

Morning all , glorious sunrise here . Really hope your symptoms have been clearing , shodatin - I know you don't like to worry anyone , but what a distressing set of symptoms ( & I'm sure there were others you didn't like to complain about ) . It was lovely of you to come to upward's thread & send best wishes , & I'm sorry for fretting so much . Hopefully you're sleeping now .

Would be great if you'd had another uninterrupted night , upward , but that might be ambitious at the moment . Hoping you have a good day

kizzie · 15/08/2011 12:00

Hi everyone - just popping in to say hello after my break in cornwall. Had a lovely peaceful week. And the weather was really lovely - complete opposite of the forecast Smile.

Im so sorry you are having such horrible symptoms shodatin - I hope things really start to improve for you today.

Hi to everyone else Smile

Upwardandonward · 15/08/2011 15:12

I'm glad you had such a lovely week, kizzie - I hope the effects last for a while. Hope you're in a better state today, shodatin I hope you're not too exhausted or exasperated from cleaning, hob

madmouse and TIANC , I hope you're both having positive days.

I know this might be too personal, but has anyone had a good experience with day services?

shodatin · 15/08/2011 17:35

Hi hob am breathing OK now, just a cough and temp.up and down but improving and thanks all for your good wishes.
upward sorry I don't know what day services are. Hope you,re continuing to improve, especially for sleeping.

cityhobgoblin · 15/08/2011 17:45

Great to see you , kizzie , & so pleased the holiday relaxed & refreshed you . Agree the weather forecasts are v unreliable lately
Many thanks upward , just finished the agent's inspection so now just hoping not too many horrors in the report to the landlady ( reason I fret about tidiness is I have some sort of organisational difficulty associated withd with ADD , OCD, dyspraxia or similar overlapping conditions - I don't know , I could never get an assessment to be diagnosed Grin . I try v hard but never get the place looking respectable . < finally shuts ap about cleaning >

More importantly , I wish I could share experiences of day services with you .. Years ago I waited months for an assessment for a day centre etc with a good reputation but was refused because ... < hob manages to stop mid -rant for once > Anyway the centre had various interesting activites / services & I was very keen to go . Are you being offered anything similarly appealing , or is it that you don't feel up to it atm , mentally / physically/ socially ( don't worry about answering , obv )

Hope you're feeling less rotten physically & I 'm sure you're concerned about shodatin , so let's hope she's on the mend . Sending ultra - positive thoughts to her , & lemon balm BrewBrewBrewBrew

cityhobgoblin · 15/08/2011 17:49

Crossposted ... great to see you shodatin , thanks for posting . Sorry you're poorly but am relieved you're a bit better . Hope you can watch something nice on TV ( I don't even know whether you bother with one ) or find something to amuse you till energy picks up .

Upwardandonward · 15/08/2011 18:05

I'm glad you're improving, shodatin Hope it's a short bug. day centre/day hospital was what I meant, thanks hob . I know of lots of people who've been refused - round my way apparently they will only take you if the intervention is to avoid that person being admitted :( Confused

I also haven't heard great things about it, but if their sample population is people who would otherwise be admitted, that probably biases it. Hmm

shodatin · 15/08/2011 20:56

Thanks so much for good wishes - am being spoilt here and will probably start enjoying it tomorrow....
upward, I don't have any similar experience, and DB didn't mention this either. I do suggest giving it a go, as it must be run by competent professionals, or are you unsure about this?
Sorry you didn't get the opportunity of a trial, hob. Someone once told me his wife and children had same problem with tidiness, but they had been diagnosed as dyslexic, which surprised me. What a nuisance for you, and how worrying it must be, but I think they'll more likely be looking for coal in the bath, exotic animal cages in Bedroom 3, strange smell in hallway etc. as people can be very strange, not just a bit messy, as all the clutter would one day be taken away when tenant leaves. Hope all goes well for you, as it probably will.

Upwardandonward · 15/08/2011 21:05

I hope you are fit enough to enjoy being looked after asap shodatin !

Upwardandonward · 15/08/2011 21:17

Good luck with the results of the house, hob , btw

shodatin · 15/08/2011 21:54

Thankyou for that upward, am feeling quite spoilt and don't deserve all this help, but very grateful of course. Hope you're managing life well; was thinking about you when chatting to DB on Friday, and agreeing life is difficult alone. I did expect there would be more general help for him after hospital, not just CBT, but understand there have been many recent cuts here, and what a shame if this is nationwide. Where I live, Mind have lots of semi-social and educational courses, sometimes with WEA, and are worthwhile, but it's different in different areas, unfortunately.

Before I forget again, it's good to see you again kizzie, and glad you had a good holiday. Thanks for good wishes, and hope you feel stronger for the break.

cityhobgoblin · 16/08/2011 10:59

Morning all . So glad you're being cared for , shodatin , & let's have no more talk about not deserving it . Am still fretting clucking on behalf of TIANC too , so have sent you a PM , which you are under strict orders not to reply to - please rest . I hope you're not too bored by the resting - or maybe you still feel so rotten that you're just glad to doze . Please do let us know if we can help at all < wheedles > .

You are unremittingly thoughtful & supportive , upward , thank you . I think luckwas on our side yesterday in terms of making the place look more "polished" - & I swear I could feel positive vibes from a couple of people who knew I'd be worried Blush.

Thank you shodatin , very interesting about your friend's family being diagnosed with dyslexia . I know it's connected to other cognitive difficulties I have , plus my Mum has the same problem . There are some good websites for those affected Grin.
Speaking of which, there are some innovative MH orgaanisations you & DB may not have seen which I'll link you to when you feel better .The WEA is a brilliant organisation , as is MIND , but there are huge gaps for even people with severe mh problems < rants all day & then some >

How are you feeling in terms of mood today , upward ? Hope your discussions this week with your professionals won't cause you too much stress - thinking of you with that .

Sorry you've heard less than great things about the day services but as you say , a person's perceptons of them might be clouded if they're going through a grim time . Thanks for saying about the criteria for day hospital etc in your area & I hope you find the services good if you decide to try them .

Your ireassuring tjcomments on what the agent is really on the alert for made me shriek , shodatin... ( what's wrong with having coal in the bath ?Grin)

As TIANC always remembers when it's the madmouse family's day off , I hope I've got the right day & that they ahve a relaxing time together .

Peaceful day to us all . BrewBrewBrewBrew

Upwardandonward · 16/08/2011 11:17

Those house letting agent thoughts reminded me of Lemony Snickett, shodatin :) I hope your bug is disappearing today.

I've agreed to a referral hob, not sure I'm unwell enough for it, but never mind - just trust they know what they're talking about (the thought of ending up back in hospital is a strong motivator ;) - tongue in cheek ). Thanks for the Brew I also have a list of things to do now.

TIANC , I hope you're more than surviving.

madmouse and kizzie , I hope you both have good days!

Upwardandonward · 16/08/2011 16:43

Hmm, crisis team here I come Hmm

cityhobgoblin · 16/08/2011 17:01

oh dear upward, is that an unexpected / unscheduled meeting ? Thinking of you . Think you 're doing the right thing in agreeingto to the referral ... you might meet people you can relate to & are encouraged or inspired by . If not suitable , you'll have shown the team ( yet again ) that you'll push well past your comfort zone .

Agree about Lemony Snicket ! Will look on net later to see more of that . Preparing for nervewracking meeting now . Thinking of you shodatin , really hope you're feeling a little reassured , & feel better for friends looking after you . < positive thoughts &prayers >

shodatin · 16/08/2011 17:13

All best wishes to you upward, for what might be a really excellent experience, I do hope it's all positive for you. Yes, bug is officially on the run and nothing worse, plus max paracetamol sanctioned to add to usual (maxed) painkillers and option of anti-bs, so panic over and thanks so much for support.
You're so considerate of us all, despite your own health.

So pleased the inspection went well hob, I was thinking of you yesterday, so hope I got the right day. You deserve a day off now! Thanks so much for support, but off back to bed for few hours again.

Upwardandonward · 16/08/2011 17:44

Mm, I did feel it was important to agree if they think that's where I'm at, hob - I don't want to end up in hospital again. Confused

shodatin , that sounds better, great :)

shodatin · 16/08/2011 21:27

Upward, I'm certain-sure you won't be going back to hospital, and you've done really well with your recovery. It might not be exactly what you need, but at least they are trying to give you some practical help, and you're being positive enough to co-operate, which I'm sure is the right thing to do. Hope you have a good night's sleep, am shutting down soon.

Hope you're not too tired hob and that all is well. Goodnight now.
