Evening lovely people - you must be a great tonic to snowmash. I'm also wondering if she's reaching / ed the end of her hospital stay - must be daunting - & hope she can see & sense our good wishes till she can update us , however she feels able.

Oh my lordy TIANC , what joyous news - would you care to dance round the cybergarden with me? How exciting that life can be less dificult for you & the world will hear more of your unique voice . Am so delighted to hear this , thank you for sharing - & don't ever let us hear the f - word again.

Can't believe how I mixed up diary for GP advice you gave kizzie - so sorry both of you for being so patronising , most of all . I do recall your mentioning the diary , kizzie , but thought TIANC was using one too [blush}
< tries even harder to focus brain >

Hope you've had a good day , shodatin , & I'm sure you can pat yourself on the back tonight . Thank you & TIANC for kind wishes ( & unwarranted praiseBlush)about the sleep thing & for understanding my erratic posting . Have managed lots today but still rather mismanaged my time & missed out vital things . Incredibly warm here , to the joy of pussycats..

Hope madmouse , kizzie, pixie & butterpie are well. Some of shodatin's homegrown lemon balm Brew in the summerhouse , with plus range of Brew Brew for dunking [biscuits] [biscuits]

cityhobgoblin · 09/05/2011 22:46

Oh dear God shodatin, that one of them was unpleasant - I dread the day someone has a go at me for something similar - am so uncoordinated - and you were very brave not to lose temper / burst into tears as I'm sure I would have done ...

Glad other stuff went OK but bloomin' 'eck about virus -how stressful - here's to a better day tomorrow xx

ThisIsANiceCage · 10/05/2011 01:29

Oh shodatin, what a yukky thing to happen! Have a belated Brew for your shaken nerves. Hope other than that, the day was a good, successful one. Fingers crossed for your laptop tech tomorrow - do hope it's the end of your computer woes.

So glad you've also had an Achieving Things day today, hob, even if not everything got done. It never does, you know! Wink

How lovely and generous you all are! Thank you.

snowmash, we miss you, you know. Just a "Hi" if you're still reading would be lovely - no need to catch up the whole thread.

madmouse hope you get a lovely day off tomorrow, and the sunshine holds for you if you go out.

kizzie, wishing you another GOOD day!

Night night all, beautiful people. Sleep well.

shodatin · 10/05/2011 09:05

Good to hear from you, TIANC and hob and can just imagine you both dancing round garden! A lovely thought on another lovely morning.

Hope madmouse gets a good day off too, and we all feel better at the end of the day, hopefully including snowmash here. I wonder if we imagined her sometimes....As a niece once said "If you don't write soon, people will think I'm making you up"

shodatin · 10/05/2011 11:11

I must just post this - am so pleased at Computer Expert who just left after fixing laptop and printer, and charged unbelievably small amount, plus , my no-claims-bonus is protected on car insurance, so it could have been worse, and it's still a good day!

kizzie · 10/05/2011 11:42

Good news shodatin Smile

madmouse · 10/05/2011 11:57

Hi everyone just checking in. Sorry I haven't been posting. Have had an exhausting week with ds not being well again and dh and me struggling too with some lame virus. My anxiety went way out of control and dh lost the plot with me and I needed the help of my friend to calm down. But we're all better now and ds is his bouncy self and I'm back at work catching up :)

To my shame I have not read everything, you guys are far too prolific but it seems you're all more or less ok - will catch up x

OP posts:
shodatin · 10/05/2011 13:39

Thanks kizzie, I have too much of the other kind of news. Hope you're doing well too.

Hi madmouse, sorry it's been difficult for you, including virus, which must have been tiring. Good news that mouseling's recovered. If you don't read my postings you won't have missed any news, and if you've not checked yet, we have not heard from snowmash since you posted last time.

cityhobgoblin · 10/05/2011 21:19

Evening all , & sorry still a bit slower . Hope all had some sunshine again.

You & TIANC have made me laugh today . Delighted computer man was so fair shodatin , & absolutely brilliant about no claims bonus. < invites shodatin for a twirl round cybergarden >. Hope you have further cheering news this week - best of all would be a wave from snowmash

Oh no madmouse , sounds horrible - continued recovery to mouseling & glad you & dh feeling better. You're doing well to be back at work already & I hope you get some extra rest to recover 100%. Is it your confirmation this weekend ? Sorry , looking forward to it here !

Hope you're having a good week kizzie - how is your rhododendron?

TIANC, you are fabulous- < passes round cyberpiccie of poor soaked hob & TIANC > I'm not as tweaky about unfinished things today . Hope you've had a positive day, & same to all.

shodatin · 11/05/2011 00:13

Wishing a good night to all, and hoping to hear from snowmash again soon

ThisIsANiceCage · 11/05/2011 01:56

Oh madmouse, so sorry it's been a such difficult week all round. But wonderful to hear you're all back on a level now. Ave a Brew!

shodatin oh yes, this is what we like to hear! Smile

shodatin · 11/05/2011 09:17

Morning all - another sunny one here!
TIANC I've seen/heard nothing more about nestlings, unfortunately, and am just hoping they survived.

Yesterday I came across packets of seed for Nemophila (Poached Egg Plants), but they were coloured white with blue patches instead of traditional bright, shiny yellow on white, so I left them and am still hoping for a few seeds.
Just occurred to me, it might be worthwhile to post in Gardening section!

kizzie · 11/05/2011 10:39

Hi everyone - apologies if Im a bit quiet over the next few days. Just 'mending my sails'. very grateful for the much better days ive had but not very consistent so still seeking the elusive full time 'stability'.

Actually it may be more that I need to accept a slightly different stability. Hmm. I think 'acceptance' might be something i need to adopt. Rather than constantly striving to be the total workaholic, stresshead i was for years.

It may take time (a long time) but maybe i'll come out the other end a more serene & contented individual (may be clutching at straws there Grin. My previous pattern since the original PND has been big crash, slowly recover then completely back to normal, change absolutely nothing, reduce ad's to very low level, continue working ridiculous hours, crash again ....etc etc

So maybe a bit better work life balance, learn to relax properly etc etc

Sorry!!! I didnt intend to write all that!!

Hope you have lovely day in sunshine x

kizzie · 11/05/2011 10:40

Have realised the irony of me saying i may be quiet and then rabbiting on Hmm Wink

shodatin · 11/05/2011 11:06

Morning kizzie.
Realising I did not need to be perfect was a relaxing experience for me, but one that's hard to remember. Am sure you'll find life easier when you're no longer expecting to have difficult days, it just happens. Hope so, anyway.

ThisIsANiceCage · 12/05/2011 02:54

Kizzie how very wise are you! Accepting a different sort of stability. Indeed.

And what a lovely image, "mending your sails". Perfect. Want to waffle on about metaphor of being shipshape before the winds come again, but actually your image says it all.

hob hope today's been OK, and that you've just been a bit sleepy? Although you've probably been off doing something jolly important for us all. There's a Brew waiting, as ever, when you fancy one.

shodatin, ooh, blue poached eggs! Sounds... unnerving! I hope your nestlings, if they were there, have thrived discreetly away from harm. Our cybergarden's robins have surely fledged as well; somewhere, in an old gardening hat at the back of the shed, is a perfect round grassy nest with a flourish of blue shell scattered beneath it. Nothing beside remains!

snowmash hope today was as good as possible for you, and that you had the sunshine too. It skipped here, but we had a faint blessing of rain instead. Could do with more!

madmouse, butterpie and Pixie, thinking of you all.

shodatin · 12/05/2011 10:12

Thanks TIANC for image of empty nest in a safe area of cyber-garden. This RL property is lacking enough trees and has too many seagulls to be a prime nesting area, and have never heard the cheepings here before. Or since.

I thought of you yesterday hob, assuming you might be there and grateful to people who did make it to the demo.

Greetings to everyone else, and hope we all sail serenely through today.

cityhobgoblin · 12/05/2011 23:38

Evening everyone and here's some of shodatin's soothing herbal Brew Brew Brew Brew and Biscuit or oatcake / ricecake

Really , really sorry not to have said hello but have become snowed under by everyday life as I try to adjust to a slightly slower pace - I love what you wrote , kizzie , & it inspires a lot of thoughts - but the main thing is I must learn to do the sort of post the rest of you do when extra busy but still chatting .

So many interesting things written these past two days but I'll just say thank you to shodatin for her wish that we'd all sail serenely through the day , & to her and TIANC for so kindly thinking I might have been at yesterday's demo - I couldn't go due to prior commitments , which I really regret , but feel very fired up .

Amazing work you're doing on your thread TIANC , vital stuff...didn't know you were a genealogist - lots of that in this house

Peaceful night to madmouse , pixie and kizzie

Don't assume your fledglings didn't make it shodatin because of short period of cheeping / it being abruptly cut off - I've often been proved wrong about that ( now who's telling grandmothers to suck eggs ) , even when the case looked totally hopeless.
( Haven't forgotten yellow poached eggs - is there a national shortage ? Hadn't thought of looking that up )

Thinking of you , snowmash - it would be so sad if you felt shy to come back & simply say hi - we don't "expect" you to chat if you don't want to x

shodatin · 13/05/2011 00:29

Thanks for the Brew hob, which I rarely remember by myself, and for managing to post despite being busy - I appreciate hearing from you.

Uncertain about national shortage of p.egg plants, but I do know they were fashionable about ten /15 years ago, and assume people who want them already have them as they are so easy to grow (apart from preferring damp soil)

Back tomorrow (hoping to hear from snowmash) - sleep well all.

cityhobgoblin · 13/05/2011 09:22

Morning , all - glorious sun here , but did any of you have a frost ? Feel guity at forgetting to put any protection on sweetcorn , but they look OK ..

Thank you shodatin - we all appreciate your consistency in posting & responding over the weeks - this thread is something we all look forward to , & I'm sure snowmash wants you to be assured that's the case for her .
Will try further posible poached egg sources this week - this is ridiculous !

Hope TIANC , madmouse, kizzie and pixie are well

shodatin · 13/05/2011 09:46

Hello again, here's hoping we all have a good day, despite the date. My roof people are hard at work, and assure me no horrible problems hidden under soffits, so it should continue to be a good day here.

Glad you believe it's still a good thing to keep posting, hob, and I think I'd miss it if we stopped, but don't want to be an embarrassment to snowmash
or a rambling bore to everyone else who has lots more to do.

Really appreciate the poached-egg hunt! Not long to go before the seed-setting season again...

cheers to all Brew

ThisIsANiceCage · 13/05/2011 22:34

Ooh, sorry for missing yesterday! I hit the off switch to get me away from that thread - then realised I'd failed to actually post here, tho I was reading.

Sounds like you've been mega busy too, hob. I hope you've managed to rest since.

And you're another genealogist, eh? Addictive, innit? But it's very, very different to be searching a live person, even at their own request. Completely freaked me out. I didn't mention it here, because I find the issue so scary and didn't want to spread my panic. So big thanks for being so supportive, hob. (The thread was raising awareness of internet stalking, for those who missed it.)

snowmash · 13/05/2011 23:13
Blush

I had not forgotten about everyone here, and I'm sorry for the complete silence. I have been unwell physically on top of the mh issues, and it seemed as if they no sooner sorted one issue than another appeared. They also decided to do a quick antipsychotic increase which left me rather stunned.

I am on the road to recovery (still in hospital).

I am trying to work out what the future holds as I am unlikely to be 'fit' for some time :(

I haven't read through the thread, but I want to say thanks for all the thoughts and good wishes.

Hey hello

How lovely to hear from you - and you sound a bit different I think :)

Sorry things have been so rough :(

Don't worry about catching up - just glad you posted x

OP posts:
shodatin · 13/05/2011 23:44

Snowmash, it's so good to hear from you! I do hope things are getting better, as you've obviously had a very difficult time, and mental health upsets are enough for anyone without physical problems too. We do think of you a lot. Here's to your good health Wine

TIANC I'm glad you have tarragon now. Mine survived the winter, which was a surprise. Have been unable to find your other thread, so thanks for info.

House repair finished as rain started, with just enough time to accept new quote for garage improvement next month, so it was a good day.

Best news today was contact with snowmash though....

Hope everyone sleeps well, goodnight now.
