We filled up your thread, snowmash! So here's another one.

Neither weather nor circumstance seems to be cooperating at the moment, so I thought we could do with a virtual garden to sit out in.

shodatin has started work already:
"we don't lose anything to the frost here, and nobody thieves our daffs and precious bay trees. Most days will be sunny I think, but sometimes we have rain at night, particularly when we've done some planting..."

And I think it needs a summer house with a chiminea or the like to sit round after dark and toast our tootsies.

Just had the same idea with a Brew (and still saving my share of the Biscuit Biscuit for snowmash, who no doubt still needs the extra calories).

snowmash · 16/03/2011 12:35

I'm alive, voluntary, and v distressed since yesterday, but have just eaten

Hope everyone's well

ThisIsANiceCage · 16/03/2011 12:50

Sooo good to hear from you! GrinGrinGrin

And you're voluntary! That's a hell of an achievement!

So sorry you're distressed, and probably exhausted too, but sounds like you've achieved an immense amount in the last few days.

Mm, lunch. Now that's an idea. What did you have?

Thank you for posting, snowmash. That's a big step forward if the staff have given you the "option" of staying voluntarily , though I imagine it must be causing you much extra stress in some ways...Sorry, that sounds a very cold response to your distress, when we all feel so sorry for this hardship .

Am amazed you've eaten. Very good news. Thinking of you

snowmash · 16/03/2011 13:08

Thanks for the tea tianc. Hob, I don't know - don't have anywhere else to be - doctors maybe know that, not sure the nurses do. It's only stressful in that it adds to the thoughts that I should just leave.

ThisIsANiceCage · 16/03/2011 13:30

It kinda puts the burden back on you, doesn't it, having the choice -even if you've nowhere else to be? Sad

Talking of which, come into the garden with me. We can curl up in the summerhouse, cosy stove, comfy cushions.

And outside the robin, with it's head on one side, checking us out for future crumbs!

snowmash that's amazing news that you are now voluntary - it is progress. Try to stay put for now and focus on getting better - no need to do anything else x

kizzie · 16/03/2011 14:00

snowmash Smile - i log in every day to see how you are doing. Dont always post as not sure got anything helpful to say Blush but anyway very pleased that slowly but surely things going in the right direction Smile x

snowmash · 16/03/2011 14:18

Thank you tianc, garden sounds good.

Madmouse, I'm struggling with that concept - a dr did repeat that I am unwell several times this morning, but still difficult.

Thank you for your good wishes kizzie

shodatin · 16/03/2011 14:22

Snowmash! So pleased to hear from you at last, although I can understand that you're distressed. It's wonderful news that you're now voluntary, and great progress as madmouse says. It's also good news that you've eaten, by the way, so I'll stop nagging about food.

You must have had a good talk with the doctors, and I do hope you;re closer to understanding why they want you to continue treatment at the hospital. Please don't just leave; you're doing so well.

snowmash · 16/03/2011 14:27

Thanks shodatin - I struggle with the idea that my depression should be treated in hospital, and being here, but maybe that will get easier.

cityhobgoblin · 16/03/2011 14:51

Thanks for all these replies , snowmash - really helping us realise more about the difficulties you're facing and the progress you are making.

Hope everyone has a good afternoon.

cityhobgoblin · 16/03/2011 14:53

( Sorry if it seemed I ignored your latest post snowmash - just that one of the others will be of more use with it than I am)

ThisIsANiceCage · 16/03/2011 15:34

Well, depression can kill. So it's certainly be serious enough to warrant hospital treatment.

I know the whole NHS thing is a biggy for you, but the illness itself is as valid a reason for being in hospital as, say, diabetes.

snowmash I can understand you struggle with it - I have easy talking from the 'outside'.

Question is which is harder to push pixie, guess they both have pros and cons.

Want to say a quick good night as my phone is dying
