It's my fault that the NHS is too expensive

OK, you lot are definitely making me hungry now!

Well done on having some dinner, snowmash. Smile

well done snowmash - healthy option is fine - it's carbs, protein and vitamins you need, it's ok not to eat lots of fat. But you do need to give your body what it needs to function.

snowmash · 23/02/2011 18:14

I just meant they'd not coated it. Wish some of my basic stuff hadn't been misplaced (my fault for having it taken off me).

Oh how annoying. Do you have to wait for the right person to be back on shift?

snowmash · 23/02/2011 18:46

No, nobody could find it. I'm hoping not all my new drugs have arrived tonight

ThisIsANiceCage · 23/02/2011 18:57

Oh blimey. Fingers crossed it turns up in Safe Place, but that's really annoying. The promise of care packages still stands, from loads of us. Is there anything you could do with?

What's the deal with the new drugs? Too much at once?

snowmash · 23/02/2011 19:00

They are 4.5 times as expensive in liquid, and taking twice the amount.

OP posts:
ThisIsANiceCage · 23/02/2011 19:55

Well the dose is clinical, that's out of your hands.

The liquid thing. Yep, that's this loop that the more you refuse treatment, the more money they chuck at you.

I should have said, yesterday, how impressed I was that you managed to articulate the problem with accepting treatment, ie guilt and anxiety. I thought you were really brave to do that.

Starting to process that guilt and anxiety is much harder and scarier, of course, and a really big job. I hope that's something the hospital folk can support you in - but you know there's always this mob of daft beggars on line too!

shodatin · 23/02/2011 20:17

It's really good news you had a proper meal snowmash, and I hope it was delicious. The basics which are missing - are these edibles for when you don't fancy a whole meal? In which case, I think I know where they are.
If they are your basic drugs which have been misplaced, mine were taken away and locked up until I left; didn't trust me to count the right number maybe.

Night all

Good night snowmash, hope you have a good sleep and wake refreshed. Have a quick hug too, while no-one's about. Night.

ThisIsANiceCage · 24/02/2011 00:06

Night all, hope everyone sleeps well. Little Leaves included!

shodatin · 24/02/2011 10:57

Morning all, hope we all slept well. Usual grey murk outside windows here, given up on TIANC's box -
Snowmash, hope you're having a better day now (I assume) meds have arrived.

ThisIsANiceCage · 24/02/2011 11:27

Morning.

shodatin I have glowing murk! Actual shadows!

madmouse · 24/02/2011 11:32

We have sunshine - hesitant but still!

ThisIsANiceCage · 24/02/2011 11:35

Ooh ooh! There's hope yet!

snowmash · 24/02/2011 12:46

Morning all! Wow, sunshine must be good

OP posts:
madmouse · 24/02/2011 12:56

Can you look outside at all Snowmash? I'm only an hour away from you!

snowmash · 24/02/2011 12:57

And I've just apOlogised re: food.

OP posts:
madmouse · 24/02/2011 13:07

what do you mean you have apologised?

did you say sorry for eating or do you mean you declined lunch?

shodatin · 24/02/2011 14:33

Got sun here too! Ten minutes inland from coast, things suddenly looked different; could hardly remember where sun-shades were, such a long time.
Glad we're all getting to see some spring sunshine, if not out in it - I actually drove home without anorak, and so wished I was walking.
Snowmash, we all hope you've managed to eat a proper meal, but why apologise? Please tell.

ThisIsANiceCage · 24/02/2011 16:02

Hurray, actual sunshine here, too!

Good to hear from you snowmash, hope you got a little glimmer of it too!

snowmash · 24/02/2011 16:05

I mean I apologised for having a verbal wrestling match with staff over my plate yesterday (but it was cold as I'm also having trouble physically eating here too).

OP posts:
snowmash · 24/02/2011 16:07

And I didn't try and use a knife and fork today, which helped with speed.
