madmouse · 28/11/2010 09:31

Sorry this is (perhaps surprisingly) not the best place to find late night company. I'm usually around until 11.30 but most of us are off sooner!

BeckyBendyLegs · 28/11/2010 09:46

I go to bed about 10pm! I had a bad night though last night. Fast asleep until 11.25am then DS3 woke up with a temperature and DH in a grump. So I then lay in bed getting more and more anxious about both of them until 2.30am when I put on the hypnotherapy. Slept for an hour and a half. Woke at 4.22am, couldn't get back to sleep again. Aghhhhhh. Just not a happy bunny today after over two weeks of great sleep zzzz

Getdown how are you today?

Madmouse and you?

GetDownYouWillFall · 28/11/2010 16:27

Hi All sorry you had bad nights alypaly and eandz - I have had nights like that too where nothing works, even taking a sleeping tablet. It's horrific. Hope you both have better nights tonight.

Also you too becky. Sound like you had a rubbish night too,.

I am ok thanks. Just full of cold, not pregnant and feeling a bit sorry for myself Sad

BeckyBendyLegs · 28/11/2010 16:31

I think my night would have been fine if it hadn't been for DS3 being poorly and crying a lot in the night - even once he'd settled I couldn't get back to sleep. I was on high alert. And DH being all fed up at being woken up made it worse. I was worrying about him too!

GetDown you going to be ok.

alypaly · 29/11/2010 00:12

hi everyone...still awake yet again.

sorry i didnt get back to you eandz....why is your son loooking at his poo?

BeckyBendyLegs · 29/11/2010 16:50

arcadia96 · 30/11/2010 16:58

Hi all haven't been on for a while but have lurked. I ended up in A & E with DD yesterday (the day after her first birthday) because of a respiratory virus Sad. It was scary but I feel like every time one of these things happen I feel like a better mother and a bit stronger for coping. When I compare to how I felt this time last year in hospital with her then it is completely different.
Anyway she's improving a bit today just struggling to get fluids in her but she's loving grapes.
DP was ill too so I had to do it on my own!
Sleeping OK but for DD waking though did end up taking a nytol last night after the stress of the day.

arcadia96 · 30/11/2010 16:59

Sorry your little one is ill too Becky I just read that Sad. It's a crap time of year everyone seems to be ill at the moment.

GetDownYouWillFall · 30/11/2010 17:15

No, not gone into hiding madmouse ... I am still lurking. Been feeling pretty ill myself too, and DD is also ill, coughing all night and keeping us all awake Sad Just feeling a bit run down with it all.

Had to take yesterday off work to stay with her, and my manager is making me use my flexi leave for it, even though I'd planned to use that time to attend her little nursery Christmas play - so now I probably won't be able to go.

Ah, sorry for moaning. not feeling all that positive at the moment.

orangeflutie · 30/11/2010 17:29

Sorry to hear you some of you are ill and your dcs too:( There's always so much going round at this time of year.

It snowed here in Sussex last night and has carried on throughout today so we now have about an inch and a half of it. The dds went to school today, but I suspect they won't be tomorrow as the access roads will all ice up overnight. DH is going away tomorrow to Dallas for two and a half weeks and is hoping he'll be able to get to Heathrow.

All a bit worrying. I've taken time off work this week aswell to go Christmas shopping and I won't be able to if the dds aren't at school, so looks like I will be mostly shopping online. B**dy snow!

orangeflutie · 01/12/2010 10:00

Morning all

How is everyone?

I was awake at 5am this morning as DH set the alarm for then. He left about half past and I managed to doze a bit but was a bit anxious about his journey as more snow fell here in the night. My eldest dd came in for a cuddle at 6.30 and I really didn't want to get up. I seem to have a cold and sore throat and my youngest also has a cold:(

Our school is open today but I live quite a way away and the roads are really bad today so have decided not to attempt the drive. It's snowing at the moment and I might've just managed to get them there and then not been able to pick them up or got stuck! I've decided we're going to build a snowman instead:)

GetDownYouWillFall · 01/12/2010 10:37

Hi there orangeflutie so sorry that your DH has gone now. Hopefully the time without him will go quickly. Be strong, you will be ok. Sorry to hear that you?re not escaping the lurgy either. I don?t blame you for not wanting to attempt the drive, I get very anxious driving in ice and snow. I?ve made it into work today but the roads here today are not too bad. Hope you enjoy making the snowman with your girls.

I am feeling low Sad As expected, Evil Red Tide of Doom (period) arrived today, and I am down in the dumps. It?s a really achey one too. Feeling gutted because timing was right this month but just didn?t happen. I know I have to be patient. Just feeling a bit rubbish.

And I had a terrible night. Slept for about an hour between 11 and midnight. Then awake again. Got another 4 hours or so between 1 and 5 and then that was it. Couldn?t get back to sleep. Had a knot of anxiety there in my tummy and couldn?t relax. Sad

madmouse · 01/12/2010 11:28

Getdown I'm home this afternoon and evening. Come chat if you feel like some company. Don't sit there feleing low on your own!

OP posts:
orangeflutie · 01/12/2010 11:30

Oh GetDown poor you:( < hugs > Sorry you're feeling low. Periods really don't help do they? I find I'm more emotional and when you're TTC they really suck:(

Are you working all day today?

Try and take it easy with plenty of hotwater bottles. You'll probably find after such a bad night you'll sleep well tonight.

Easier said than done but try not to worry xx

BeckyBendyLegs · 01/12/2010 13:18

GetDown thinking of you xxx it's a very, very hard business this TTC lark. I used to treat myself to a big glass of wine every time my period arrived - it was the only way I could deal with the disappointment. It is early days for you though - please don't let it get you down too much. Look at it this way; you've had a period, which means that your body is getting back on track after your misscarriage, you are ready for a new baby. That's a positive, right?

GetDownYouWillFall · 01/12/2010 13:42

thanks madmouse, orangeflute and becky.

becky yes you're right, I'm trying to see it that way. Sometimes they recommend not TTC in the first cycle after a MC anyway, as it can take a while for your hormones to normalise, so in a way, it's a good thing it didn't happen this month. Maybe next month!! It does mean though that I'll have absolutely no idea when I will ovulate this month! Cycle was 35 days this time round, but have been as short as 26 days and as long as 45 days.

I've already got the bottle of wine for tonight. Actually I have a red AND and white. Just in case I can't decide.

BeckyBendyLegs · 01/12/2010 17:10

The DSs have just written their letters to Father Christmas - DS2 wants some knitting (he wants to learn to knit) and DS1 wants lego and car-related things. They've put their letters in the wood-burning stove we have as they believe that FC comes to collect the letters while they are asleep on the night of 1 December!

madmouse · 01/12/2010 19:38

urgh just back from the drs - have chest and back pain, breathlessness, painful cough

He's not sure what is exactly the matter but has given me ABS, co codamol, a referral for an x-ray and bloods and a warning to go to hospital if the pain worsens.

Feel rubbish Sad

OP posts:
orangeflutie · 02/12/2010 11:00

Oh madmouse that sounds awful:( I hope the ABS start kicking in soon.

GetDown and Becky how are you today?
Arcadia hope you and your DD are ok.

I was awake for a while in the middle of the night. My throat feels horrible at the moment and last night I kept sneezing. Every now and then I peeped outside and could just see the snow coming down. I actually was starting to feel quite anxious about it all.

Today there is a foot of the stuff. It's over the top of DD3's wellies so walking in it for any real distance is out.

I'm not a happy bunny. We're snowed in and the novelty is starting to wear off. The DDs were outside for a bit this morning and then came in and started fighting. Am also getting low on milk and I'm really hoping the Tesco van will be able to get to us tomorrow.

BeckyBendyLegs · 02/12/2010 11:46

I'm fine thanks! DS3 not better yet (Arcadia I must have missed your post about your DD - poor thing - hope she is better now / soon).

Orangeflutie sorry the snow is getting you down. It does sound like you have a lot. We only have about half an inch here - enough to keep boys happy but not enough to cause disruption.

Better go - DS3 not happy :(

madmouse · 02/12/2010 12:23

Hey all

Well I have never had co-codamol before but it does make you sleep! Eventually, because it is hard to lie down and relax when you can't breath properly - I remember it from when my asthma was really bad but that's a while back now.

Now back from hospital tests and trying to relax with some more co codamol.

Had hoped to feel a bit better today Sad

Becky is DS3 still not well?

Orangeflutie once they start fighting it is just so hard to cope...

Getdown how's things?
