I’ve actually stayed at 9st 5 since Sunday. I have been in work an hour earlier yesterday and today and have been so busy that have only taken 15 mins for lunch and as a result haven’t eaten much. Will probably be the same for the rest of this week and next Monday so hoping that allows the new weight to “bed in” as it were.

I have a big swishy party to attend next Friday that I have a brand new outfit for so would be great if I can maintain until then!

greengreyblue · 21/01/2025 17:31

Great @Rollergirl11 and I think you’re on to something there. I think I was at just below target for such a short time (24/12) before Christmas that my body didn’t set that weight.
I actually made tofu and prawn pad Thai with toasted coconut. Was yum and early fast clock on now.

I am pleased to say I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken fajitas and only had a small handful of Doritos (and dips!) compared to my usual whole big bowl full. I put loads of peppers and tomatoes in to bulk it up with veg and had a side salad.

I may have then followed it up with 3 (amazing) chocs leftover from a xmas box of chocs.

Timer is now on and my weekly weigh in is tomo!

jumpintheline · 21/01/2025 19:20

I had three leftover Christmas chocs today too @Ilikeyoursleeves 😁

jumpintheline · 21/01/2025 19:21

Swishy party and new outfit sounds rather lovely @Rollergirl11 and nice motivation!

Ilikeyoursleeves · 21/01/2025 19:29

I still have so many boxes of chocs leftover from Xmas! I'd normally have eaten them all by now but since I'm trying to only have a few chocs here and there they are lasting forever

Same. Have a huge bag of them stuffed in our wardrobe 🙃🙃🫣

Give them away! Working in school I get lots and after Christmas they have to find new homes….
It’s easier if they are not opened but once open I find it too tempting. I can take or leave biscuit, cakes and desserts but chocolate is trickier.
Just done a kettle bell workout (15 min whole body with a 10kg bell) and a 10 min ab one. 30 min dog walk too.

Oh I couldn't do that, I love chocolate too much lol 🤣 My kids also eat them (a bag of Roses was demolished in one evening at the weekend) but I've hidden the fancy chocs that are only for me! I look forward to having little chocolate treats here and there and I really taste and appreciate them now that I'm only having a few rather than mindlessly eating half a box in one go 😳

greengreyblue · 21/01/2025 20:24

Well that’s a win and a real show of your willpower. Well done.

can defo relate to that. Need to have some treats!

greengreyblue · 22/01/2025 07:13

My treat is wine! 😉 Unfortunately I don’t think I can do both and maintain the desired weight.

Weigh in this morning, only half a pound down which is a bit meh given I've fasted all week! Maybe I need to just have one Xmas choc now instead of 3 (or 5 😳)

SeekingTreasures · 22/01/2025 09:54

Another one here not seeing change on the scales this week...

Sticking to tea even sooo... yaagh it's hard...

Slow and steady loss is the best!

I find I only lose if I eat perfectly in my windows. Otherwise I maintain. Although I am a healthy weight so that could be why but it would be nice to get back to the weight I was before I started anti-depressants (which I am tapering off!)

Rollergirl11 · 22/01/2025 12:43

I agree slow and steady wins the day. I find that I am a solid 3 weeks or so at a new weight before my body relinquishes another drop. Sometimes it feels like it’s not worth it but then I remind myself that I have lost 1 st 4lbs since August which is not even quite 6 months yet. So it’s definitely moving in the right direction!

pearldiamond · 22/01/2025 13:47

Hello 👋🏽

I would love to join! I've been doing 16:8 since Jan 1st. Starting weight was 12 stone (I've put on 1.5 stone in the last 18 months - thanks menopause!) Historically always been able to eat whatever I wanted and not gain a pound. How things change....🤨 I have also given up alcohol (for now!), Diet Coke and 95% sugar.

Current weight is 11st 9. Lost the first 5lbs quickly now stuck 😬. I'm wondering if my consumption of non-alcoholic drinks of an evening is hindering progress.

Target weight is 10st 7.

Anyway.... could anyone tell me the app they use to measure their fasts please?

greengreyblue · 22/01/2025 16:11

Hi @pearldiamond and welcone. I don’t use an app, just the clock! 😂 I think some posters use Fastic.
18.5 hrs fast today
lunch: chickpea, beetroot and feta salad, an apple.
A few mixed nuts after work.
dinner will be chicken curry .

Cashew1 · 22/01/2025 16:38

Welcome @pearldiamond!

16.5 hour fast as I had some Greek yogurt and muesli later in the evening as just too hungry.

Same food today as yday.

Will take myself out for a treat lunch tomorrow so that may be omad.

All the best tapering off @Cashew1 . I definitely had some weight gain with SSRIs in the past and felt better overall once off.

Welcome @pearldiamond ! I use Fastic and really like it, apart from batting away all the annoying ads. But its free so fair enough on the ads! I was having a scroll through it earlier today in fact - its very satisfying to look back at all the fasting stats.

18 hour fast here. Made a big pan of ramen for lunch, with mixed vegetables - broccoli, green beans, mange tout, red onion, pak choy, curly kale, wholemeal rice and a tin of black beans. So good. I use the Itsu cartons of fresh ramen and add toasted sesame oil, chilli flakes and soy.

Three chocolate coins with my afternoon coffee!

I am going to a friend's later so have had another helping of ramen as an early dinner and started the fast early. Really determined to shift a few more pounds before DH birthday celebrations this weekend and next week.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 22/01/2025 17:54

Hello @pearldiamond! I use Fastic too and agree that it's very satisfying to see all my fasts recorded since the New Year.

16.5 hour fast here today.

Mid morn- innocent smoothie & banana

Lunch- Waldorf type salad, guacamole dip & breadsticks, a Yakult drink

Snack- grapes

Dinner- chicken curry with brown rice. Two Xmas chocs 😋
