18 hour fast

L: Mexican salad bowl with beans and lots of veggies
D: sandwich with a few crisps, veggies and hummus and a brunch bar

Pleased I kept up a strong clean fast for two days away!

Well done !

I'm arriving at the ending of the day wanting to snack and have wine ...

Buuut, I am going to have a cuppa or two instead and dream about wearing shorts in the summer ! 😅

Got to 5pm before eating my roast chicjen. Did have a few nibbles along the way while cooking but that was from 4 onwards. Ha done glass of red wine with it. Fasting clock on now.

17 hours today (maybe 18 but not sure when I finished eating last night) miserable ham sandwich and coffee on the road as I was working today then roast chicken dinner which was lovely but late!

Not feeling like I've lost this week - the meals & snacks in-between havent been great and probably 1 fast day short to see a loss.

63.2kg so I think I’m hovering around the 63 mark. Was very happy at 60kg last year so need to get back there!

SO disheartening how quickly and easily it is to undo. I feel like I’m perpetually going to have to be in a state of fasting to maintain.

Eating the kids food is a real weak point for me. We switched our sons after school club thus month to one that doesn’t do a hot meal also, so are doing him a meal every week night when we didn’t use to. This means a meal for him at like half 5 - which I pick at - then DH wants a proper meal for us after they’ve gone to bed. When DH is not here I tend to just stop eating at 5 with DS, which actually works quite well. I could just tell DH this is what I’m doing - but he really likes to have our meal together later on. He may have to have it alone for a while?!

@jumpintheline can he not have what you’re having? I used to cook a meal for all and just serve his earlier or eat with chn and DH would have his when home.
It is frustrating how quickly the weight has gone back on. There was me just below target wondering whether I would lose too much! 😂😂

16 hour fast today- I had to eat just now as I had a weird dizzy turn about 10 mins ago during a meeting I was in 😳 My head suddenly felt really dizzy and woozy but it went away after just a few seconds thankfully!

So I've just had an Actimel yoghurt drink thing, a banana and some Innocent smoothie. Feeling better now! Weird cos I've been fasting since the new year and more recently 18 ish hour fasts so I'm not sure what's made me suddenly dizzy? Any ideas?

He absolutely could! I make nice stuff for the kids it’s just a bit plainer than we’d have. For DH I think it’s more about the enjoyment of having a meal just the two of us, after the kids have gone to bed. Which I get.

Once I get back to target weight I’m hoping it’ll be easier to maintain now we don’t have December again for a while! I really did relax a lot - especially on booze.

Could it be cycle related? I sometimes get dizzy towards the end of a fast. Could be hydration needed too perhaps.

I'm mid cycle just now and also usually drink lots of water, I always have a big glass in the morning and have sips through the day. Weird!

Today I've had...

Mid morning- banana, smoothie, actimel drink, grapes

Lunch- Greek salad (again! To use up ingredients), focaccia breadsticks

Snack- packet of wotsits and 2 cubes of fudge 😳

Haven't had any more dizzy turns thankfully!

19.5 hour fast

L: porridge with oat bran, cherries, almonds and peanut butter
D: will be roasted veg fajitas with halloumi and rice

45 min run and weights at gym and a long walk with a friend this PM 💪

lunch: green lentils with crunchy salad with crumbled feta, a sprinkle of nuts and seeds.

dinner: Just making a chilli with less mince and more beans and peppers. Rice.

I’ve had this before and it’s to do with my ears. I had labrynthitis and still get a little whoosh occasionally if I’m a bit congested. Look up BPV( benign positional vertigo)

Had a ham beetroot mayo bagel for lunch and had some baked potato with tuna for dinner with the kids - just a small portion but started the fast after I ate with them at 4:30pm so nice and early! My eating window today was only 12pm to 4:30pm. Will aim to get to 1pm tomorrow so a nice long fast now.

@greengreyblue I'm not sure it's that, I'm not congested and my ears are fine (they get blocked sometimes which can affect my balance but they are fine at the moment). I was starting to feel hungry so put it down to that. I'm WFH tomo so will try an 18 hour fast again and see how I am!

I'm currently stuffed, just had dinner which was homemade lentil soup, eggs in a tomatoes / peppers sauce on sourdough bread (DH feeling adventurous with his cooking tonight!!) and 2 Lindor balls

This morning I'd actually put on almost half a kilo. No reason at all that seems to make sense. So, aiming not to stress too much over it and to just keep walking the walk ... 🚶‍♂️

Hope your days have got off on a good start. Here, starting off with no breakfast again. It's proving difficult because it's cold and I need to get some work done outside.

Also, the scales have stayed the same . So, still half a kilo on ( for no apparent reason) and I'm just having to not give up... 🚶‍♂️ 🚶‍♂️ 🚶‍♂️

Coming up to 20 hours fasting and feeling strong! Have had three coffees 😂 Reallllly need to drink some water.

Lunch will be ham cheese wholemeal bagel.
Dinner will be dahl with lots of spinach and a fried egg.

Weighed in at 62.6kg today so hovering just under 63kg. Hoping this long fast today will nudge it down further.

Going to Amsterdam for DH 40th next week and would like to look trim in a nice dress!

18.5 hour fast

L: black bean, onion and pepper homemade soup with some Greek yogurt and toasted corn
D: will be polenta with roasted sweet potatoes, mushrooms and tomatoes, with feta

Off work before starting a new job so plenty of time for some enjoyable cooking!

16 hours today albeit with milk in my morning coffee. Lunch was a big plate of sautéed veg (mushroom, onion & courgettes) with scrambled egg and some greek yogurt with blueberries. Dinner is pasta but will have a salad so it's not just a carb fest! I'm planning on eating a bit earlier tonight so should be able to start my fast by 7 and then aiming for 18 hours which should be doable as I'm at a work do and lunch is set for 1pm & fasting will stop me grazing on the biscuits, pastries & crap coffee (once I start I don't seem to stop!)

Will weigh tomorrow morning and really hoping to see my last 11st 7 down a few lbs. (I was 10st 9 barely a month ago!!!!)

Your black bean soup sounds good @Cashew1 is there a recipe?

Snack- Innocent smoothie
