I did an 18.5 hour fast today!

Lunch was a Greek salad, an apple and a low fat yoghurt. Had a handful of caramelised mixed nuts on the drive home (more Xmas leftovers!).
Dinner will be spaghetti bolognaise and some After Eights for afters ☺️

@greengreyblue lol here's the answer!!

The weight of your poop varies. It depends on several factors:
• body size
• eating habits
• how much water you drink
• bowel movement regularity
The average poop weighs around 1/4 pound to 1 pound.
Larger people who eat and drink more, or people who have less-regular bowel movements, have heavier poops. It takes an average of 33 hours for food to be processed into poop and pass out of your body.
🤣

Good to know!😂

Learning a lot on this thread haha!

Did an 18 hour fast. Had a protein bagel with ham, beetroot, avocado, tomato with mustard mayo for lunch. Bit of chocolate with my coffee in the afternoon. Grapes snack and a bit of cheese. And having a Buddha bowl style salad for dinner.

Can’t wait for the Traitors tonight!

Ilikeyoursleeves · 15/01/2025 19:53

@jumpintheline oh The Traitors! I love it! It's a test for me though as I'd always have snacks during it (or any evening TV for that matter) argghh

greengreyblue · 15/01/2025 20:04

@Ilikeyoursleeves replace the snacks with ironing in front of the tv! 😂I’m yet to watch Traitors .

OP posts:
Ilikeyoursleeves · 15/01/2025 20:06

@greengreyblue you've never watched The Traitors?!!! Any series? It's great!

I don't iron unless utterly utterly necessary so I'll treat myself to a herbal tea instead 😆

Also here for the traitors tonight! And I cannot get snacks because my cat is on my knee and I wouldn't dare disturb. An excellent excuse to stick to the sparkling water anyway.

jumpintheline · 15/01/2025 22:05

@Ilikeyoursleeves hear you on the snacks with good telly. I really wanted wine with it but the fasting window had begun!!

@greengreyblue I had never seen it before until this year. I thought it was probably a load of hyped up rubbish. But honestly I am now obsessed. I watch the extra show on bbc2 after, I listen to the podcast, I joined the Mumsnet thread 😂 absolute super fan! It’s so so good.

@Cashew1 aww love a lap cat. our cat is upside down across my husbands lap tonight. He had his jabs today which always seems to conk them out a bit more than usual.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 15/01/2025 22:34

I watched The Traitors successfully without any snacks! I am pretty hungry though so I'm now going to bed (not via the kitchen...)

SeekingTreasures · 16/01/2025 09:06

Another day starting and I'm working from home again.

Having first cuppa and have been catching up on the thread.

I'm mixing 16/8 with low carbing. It's an interesting experience. I'm sleeping differently and when I wake up in the morning, it feels almost like I have a hangover. Even if I've drunk a lot of water the day or evening before, I'm really thirsty. So, plenty of tea in the morning is more than welcome.

I hope you're all doing well and to everyone who watched traitors, that you enjoyed it. I'm watching New Amsterdam on Netflix in the evenings and really enjoying that.

Hope your days get off to a good start !

Cashew1 · 16/01/2025 16:32

18.5 hour fast

L: courgette pancake with greek yoghurt dip
D: will be avocado, tomato and mozzarella on toast
Snack will be cottage cheese and dried fruit

Feeling good!

More Traitors tonight, everyone in for a no-snack viewing? Solidarity in numbers!

greengreyblue · 16/01/2025 16:57

18 hr fast
lunch: chicken salad, an apple
snack: after work had a ryvita with a bit of peanut butter.
dinner: Vietnamese style pork and rice bowl. I’m using the other half of the pound of mince and bulking it with green lentils. Did the same with the lasagne the other night. Eating lots of beans and pulses this week.
Dog walk and kettle bell work out later.

17.5 hour fast today

Late breakfast- a banana & grapes
Lunch- homemade Greek salad, low fat yoghurt, grapes
Snack- two bits of fudge and a small handful of mixed nuts
Dinner- Singapore noodles and a few pieces of caramelised almond chocolate (yummmmmmmy)

Fasting timer now on!
Tonight I'm going for a walk to get my 10000 steps (have managed at least 10k steps a day since the new year) then Traitors Time at 9pm. No snacks!

Rollergirl11 · 16/01/2025 17:49

Well my new lowest weigh-in was short lived; have been back at my usual weight the last few days. I think I need to do an OMAD day just to mix it up a little.

I’m another one that’s not watched Traitors. I shall be tuning in to Love Island All Stars later on. I keep saying that I’m going to stop as each series is worse then the last but I get sucked back in every time! 🤦‍♀️

I say that about MAFS! 😂 How much is your normal weight? 9st 7?

OP posts:
jumpintheline · 16/01/2025 18:26

Sadly not another kilo down today. But a small loss to 62.1kg and I will happily take that. Still a way to go until I’m back to my pre Christmas fighting weight of 60kg.

Yes I’m fully signed up member of no snacking Traitors club tonight!! Will be interesting to see how the new Traitor beds in.

@Rollergirl11 i think it slow down a bit the lower it gets - it did for me. A hold is good! But good luck with OMADS 👍🏼

@greengreyblue I love lots of beans pulses and lentils too, so filling and really good for you.

17 hour fast for me then a tuna bean salad from M&S. I had two of their snack bars plus apple with peanut butter snacks. And then a small packet of low sugar wine gums… needed some sugar to get me through the afternoon in the office! Dinner not sure but maybe another Buddha bowl they are so so good.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 16/01/2025 18:43

Will we be faithful to our fasting? Or be traitors and sabotage it??

(Non Traitors viewers can be honorary Traitor members lol!)

Rollergirl11 · 16/01/2025 19:04

@greengreyblue oh I watch MAFS too. Although I missed the last UK series. My normal weight for the past 3 weeks has been 9st 6.

Yes @jumpintheline i have been fully expecting things to kind of grind to a halt. And I’m actually 1lb below my target weight so I’m not that bothered if I don’t lose anymore. But if it happens then I won’t be upset about it. I’m just carrying on carrying on and if I maintain I’m absolutely fine with that!

Hopefully it won’t be too long before you get to your pre-Xmas weight.

Cashew1 · 16/01/2025 19:40

Lap cat/snack blocker is back!

Who could dare tip him off!

@Rollergirl11 9st 6 is great. I’d be happy to settle there. Weigh day for me tomorrow.

What a cutie! The best way to block snacks 😻

GrannyInTheGarden · 17/01/2025 06:43

Hello. I’d like to join in. I want to stop evening snacks, and move my first food to mid-morning. It’s helped me a lot in the past, but I lost the discipline after Halloween. Would I fit in here okay? Thanks.

greengreyblue · 17/01/2025 07:44

You’ll fit right in @GrannyInTheGarden . Welcome.
Well I’ve just weighed and down a bit from 62 to 61.5 but disappointed the gain didn’t whoosh away. I have been sticking to 18 hr fasts and eating well .No booze in the week as usual. Just got to keep on. It’s the weekend and I know when I did get just below target I was avoiding booze or having very little so this weekend I’ll do the same or I’ll be up again. So weird that after New Year on 3/1 I was 61.1 after a Christmas Eve low of 59ish and now after two weeks of normal fasting I’m up! . I thought being back in the routine would help! It’s silly because I know it’s just a blip but it does make you feel demotivated.
