oops, forgot I was still in my eurovisison costume! I may need to do a quick name change.....

Today I used veggie sheets to make some sort of spring rolls with a peanut satay dip. I was going to have swedish carrot and cod for dinner, but there were some well reduced king pranws in Marks so I did nasi goreng instead. They also had celeriac down to 50p, so no doubt the famous chips will appear over the weekend.

@JaquelineSequinWindmachine I've never seen those veggie sheets, are they for lasagne? Are they nice?

Work meetings all day tomorrow with lunch provided (probably just sandwiches). I’m taking the courgette, lentil, feta, rocket and beetroot salad from one of the books. I’ve already weighed everything out and done the minimal prep so it’s ready to assemble quickly in the morning - needs to be quick so I don’t lose my resolve to take my own lunch. I hardly recognise myself!!!

I’ve gained and lost the same half a pound on and off so far this week so I’m hoping for a whoosh of some sort over the weekend.

LotsOfTrees · 03/06/2021 21:13

I’ve never seen the veggie strips either @JaquelineSequinWindmachine so am curious too.

JaquelineSequinWindmachine · 03/06/2021 21:17

Just made my lunch too! Prawns w salad mix, and cottage cheese with berries.

I had to order the veggie sheets online, never seen them in the shops. They are expensive, but im experimenting. They last quite well in the cupboard. Moisten to soften, then I’ve been using them as a wrap.

JaquelineSequinWindmachine · 04/06/2021 07:37

Day 4 today, and I feel pretty good! Resisting wine over the weekend will be tough, I'm sure, but I'm imagining battling a monster, and I am a warrior!

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 04/06/2021 07:47

Good luck! I usually have pizza and wine on Friday night and I'm still making pizza for the kids and something else (what I don't know) for myself and DH.

DaisyWaldron · 04/06/2021 07:57

When everyone else has pizza, I make a pizza flavoured salad. Watercress, spinach and rocket salad base, add some tomatoes and olives, fry up some tupperware chorizo, chuck some red wine vinegar into the pan and toss through the salad. You can add cheese and roast peppers and onions if you want to add more calories.

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 04/06/2021 09:44

Thanks very much, DaisyWaldron. I'll do that tonight. Dinner sorted!

yumyumpoppycat · 04/06/2021 12:10

Pizza salad sounds delish. Coincidentally on the topic of pizza, I made pizza omelette in my ninja foodi last night to use up a wrinkly aubergine and some about to turn baby tomatoes, sprinkled on dry garlic and oregano then grilled some cheese on top at the end - was really nice.

JaquelineSequinWindmachine · 04/06/2021 22:11

I found it helped to change the routine a bit this evening. Instead of pouring a wine and watching pointless, I made a Gordon’s 0% and diet tonic, had that in the garden in the sun. Once through the witching twitching hour I’m able to sip water for the rest of the evening.

So high fives all round for those who made it through a Friday evening!

Tinselandlights · 04/06/2021 22:29

@DaisyWaldron pizza salad sounds delicious! I had pizza tonight with a cauliflower and mozzarella base.

I made it! The salad was tasty and I enjoyed it. Tomorrow is the start of week two for me. Well done to all!

JaquelineSequinWindmachine · 05/06/2021 07:50

Down 3 pounds this morning, which is the motivation I need to keep me strong through the rest of the weekend.

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 05/06/2021 08:36

Well done JacquelineSequinWindmachine! Great start.
I'm at the start of my second week and I've lost six pounds. Another six pounds and I'll be at the top of the healthy weight range on the BMI chart.

LotsOfTrees · 05/06/2021 09:25

Amazing well done @JaquelineSequinWindmachine and @IsFuzzyBeagMise. I’m down a pound so far this week and happy to be on the move downwards again after stalling all week. Lunch out with family today though.

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 05/06/2021 09:49

Thank you LotsofTrees! It feels like I spent the whole week chopping vegetables, but that's good Grin

Tinselandlights · 05/06/2021 18:18

I went out for lunch today with family and there really wasn't much on the menu on plan, so I had a chicken and bacon Caesar salad and a sparkling water. It's not exactly damaging but not sure it was that brilliant!

My little DNiece had made rocky road and proudly handed them around so I did have one too.

For dinner I'm trying a ready meal of lentil cottage pie that we've picked up at a Waitrose in the service station as we'll be late home - apparently it's 222 calories.

I am really enjoying this way of eating . I only began on Monday so very early days and have t weighed myself yet .. so hopefully that result will keep me motivated. I have got some Leto sticks though - and they have been dark pink all week so fingers crossed . I will ha e lost.

I have also got a brilliant motivational reason to stick to it. My dearly loved family member announced their wedding on 10/09 so I ha e a date to aim for.

I have been very good. No booze, no more than 800 and mostly made up of vegetables.

My favourite recipe so far. Aubergine Pizzas .. DH and DD also loved these. Just toast half an aubergine, bake in oven for ten mins. Then add 2 mozzarella slices, spinach and baby Tom's. Delicious .

JaquelineSequinWindmachine · 06/06/2021 06:53

Day trip out yesterday! I chose a quiche from the menu and didn't eat the crust. Dinner was the cod with swedish carrot.

Todays menu will be poached egg, carrot and coriander soup, and spicy paneer and broccoli. At the end of a full week I will do a blog (Fast 800 for 1 ideas).

LotsOfTrees · 06/06/2021 07:39

Meal out with family yesterday and I chose a goat’s cheese and Mediterranean vegetable salad with pesto dressing which was delicious. I’d never have chosen something like that before (‘the healthy option’). I’m more impressed that I avoided the bread, lattes, cake and pudding etc Today is the last day of week 8 for me. I am down another pound this morning.

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 06/06/2021 08:19

That sounds lovely LotsofTrees. I love goats cheese.
I'm also enjoying the recipes. We had salmon burgers yesterday and they were very tasty.
I can see myself eating like this and adding a small amount of carb alongside once I get to the point of being a lighter weight.
I'm also noticing more stable energy levels and moods and I think I'm losing my double chin :)

MercedesBenz · 06/06/2021 08:20

Back again , after a good start if 3lb loss in 3 days , it was my birthday which resulted in bbq and 3 meals out , I put the 3 lb back that I had lost , so drawing a line under last week and starting again .
Watched 21 day turnaround and felt motivated .
I have been reading all your updates , well done for all the losses
Salmon kebab today ( stole idea from menu I saw yesterday , fingers crossed I can replicate it

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 06/06/2021 08:31

Good luck MercedesBenz. I'm lucky that I haven't anything on at the moment, so it's easier to stick to it.

vestastilly · 06/06/2021 17:39

Day 2 of Fast 800 for me so head down and teeth gritted! Took the kids to the fair today and the smell of hot donuts made me sweat! I have a lot of weight to loose (my BMI is a horrific 50) so really hoping that this is the magic bullet I’ve been looking for.
