@vestastilly
Could you make a kimi chi (sp) with the extra cabbage ?
Good luck , you did well not to eat the donuts the other day , I meant to comment at the time - there really is something about the smell of them int there ?

MercedesBenz · 07/06/2021 21:59

Isn’t

traintraveller · 08/06/2021 07:42

Morning all, some great losses.
I started week 8 yesterday, following on from a slightly off plan weekend. I feel as though I've had a whoosh as there is now an obvious change to my shape and my closes are much looser. I'm away for a few days and the end of the week and will try to stay on plan but up the calories to 1000 and will be having alcohol. I've also decided to do the full 12 weeks although if it all goes wrong on my holiday it might end up being 13 weeks!

vestastilly · 08/06/2021 07:42

@MercedesBenz luckily my hayfever is in full bloom at the moment so the smell wasn’t too intense and I used some mindfulness techniques to help.
Just has the super green smoothie for breakfast this morning. It was ok but I don’t think I will have it again!

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 08/06/2021 09:51

Morning all! I seem to have stalled on the scales. I've been the same weight for four days now. My jeans aren't as snug on the waist though so that's a positive.

vestastilly · 08/06/2021 14:11

@IsFuzzyBeagMise I read something in the book this week about a pause in week 3 followed by continuing to loose weight. Can’t remember why that is though

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 08/06/2021 14:50

Thanks @vestastilly...or even in week two Grin
It's a game of patience, isn't it.

LotsOfTrees · 08/06/2021 19:58

Another recent favourite from the recipe books tonight - Indian inspired chickpea patties with salad.

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 08/06/2021 20:13

Mmm, that sounds good LotsofTrees. I must try them. We had the Tex Mex. It was very tasty.

JaquelineSequinWindmachine · 08/06/2021 20:44

Ha, we had that too, lotsoftrees! Recipe serves 4, I had one portion, saved one fir lunch, and dh had the rest, lol. Had mine with sautéed cabbage

Tinselandlights · 08/06/2021 22:24

Ooh chickpea patties sound good @LotsOfTrees!

Going into week 10 from today!

I have lost a pound this week and also lost an inch off my waist in a week! I don't know how useful it is to weigh right now as I've hired a personal trainer so I think my weight may fluctuate a bit over the next few weeks.

I had the delicious chocolate granola for breakfast today, leftover stir fry with smoked salmon for lunch, and then it went a bit pear shaped for dinner as I went to a friend's house and the meal was definitely off plan! Then I went straight to the gym for PT.

Twirling in my new leaner trimmer username, as a human bean eating lots of beans.

Had a tough day at the office yesterday, and succumbed to a bit a of a carb fest with sourdough toast and a meringue nest. But at least i didn't reach for the wine!

For those doing a "21 days of June" approach, we'll be about half way through tomorrow.

Balloondog · 09/06/2021 06:47

W3D3 here (I think!). I'm down 4kgs and generally feeling well however I have one of the worst flare ups of hormonal acne on my neck and jawline (I have PCOS so this is an ongoing struggle but it's particularly bad and at a time of the month when my skin is usually clearer Sad).
Yesterday I had the tomato, basil and whipped goats cheese salad for lunch and made the cardomom chicken and roasted cauliflower for dinner. The salad was a success, the chicken was tasteless and like broth and the cauliflower bitter - I won't be making those again.

The salad looks good, Balloondog. It's one of the dishes I would like to make.

Tinselandlights · 09/06/2021 08:48

@Balloondog the salad looks nice, shame about the chicken!

Week 3 is a tough week for many (me included) so hang in there!

LotsOfTrees · 09/06/2021 08:52

Also agree about the salad @Balloondog. I’ll be adding that one to the list.

LotsOfTrees · 09/06/2021 08:54

One of my goals @JaquelineBean was to lose some weight before 21st June (end of lockdown). I’m so glad I started this all those weeks ago!

Balloondog · 09/06/2021 10:22

Thanks, I can recommend the salad wholeheartedly - it was lovely in the warmer weather too. Thanks for the support too - we're going on holiday on the 21st so that's my interim goal too as, while I plan to be sensible about food and stick to TRE, I'm also going to enjoy the seafood and maybe an ice cream one day too!

DaisyWaldron · 09/06/2021 18:26

Thanks for the week 3 warning - I'm into week 2 now, and it's going pretty well so far. I ate over my calories yesterday, but my unplanned eating was chicken, so that's about as ok as it gets, really. I've lost just under 4kg so far, and it's enough to be visible to me, but not really anyone else.

I've gone back to exercise, too, and that's going well. I've being doing shorter but more frequent sessions of bodyweight training, and have started doing a HIIT rowing workout 3 times a week. Hopefully that will still work when my hours at work increase in a couple of weeks.

Salmon "rice" bowl with cauliflower rice for dinner tonight, which I'm really looking forward to.

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 09/06/2021 18:46

Well done DaisyWaldron. That sounds very good.
I was down two pounds on the scales today, and I'm half way to my target. We had 'Spicy beef tacos' from the book tonight.

MercedesBenz · 09/06/2021 20:53

Well done MercedesBenz. You're doing great.
JaquelineBean · 10/06/2021 08:25

I've realised I can't have treats in the house. So this morning my soft liquorice and wiglets are....gulp....going in the bin!
