You've done so incredibly well and are an inspiration. It's only natural to have those moments. Did you manage to fight off temptation?

Busy week for me, lost 2lbs so far but I did eat a fredo and had a couple pints down the pub 🙈

MistySkiesAreGone · 21/05/2022 09:47

@LosingAtHumanBopIt that's amazing well done, and you got to enjoy the pub!

I did fight off the temptation, I had a read of a few posts on the Fast800 Facebook groups.

10st 5. Good to see a budge. Lost 24lbs since Feb and 13lbs since doing Fast 800.

MistySkiesAreGone · 21/05/2022 23:58

800 cals today.

Usual porridge for breakfast and a boiled egg.
No lunch as was busy
Dinner was chicken curry, with veggies and 50g brown rice, followed by yoghurt and fruit.

I've not had just two meals before, I feel like I've feasted as the second was big!

MistySkiesAreGone · 22/05/2022 19:39

Maintained 10st 5 this morning.

Purition shake for lunch with whole milk
Prawn stirfry and wholewheat noodles

860 cals. Spent all day babysitting for a friend so am shattered. Had 90g of carb as had wholewheat noodles. Not had that much for ages.

MistySkiesAreGone · 22/05/2022 19:52

I think that is my final weigh in, until I get back from holiday in 2 weeks. The holiday plan is to maintain or lose.

PhoenixMama · 23/05/2022 08:42

Good morning all! Had a crazy weekend of work and play - not sure exactly what cals were - not crazy crazy but definitely not 800. Had alcohol as well which always messes me up. The scale says I've gained 8lbs this weekend!!! Obviously that's wrong but so annoying to see it go up that much! Will focus on drinking a lot of water this week as I think with the weather I'm slightly dehydrated. I'm really struggling with time at the moment - time for planning, time for even grocery shopping, time for cooking. Convienience food is 100% my downfall atm.

Inspired by how well you're all doing and I REALLY need to lose this 2 stone but finding it far far harder than the first time.

MistySkiesAreGone · 23/05/2022 20:53

Not sure what today was - Purition breakfast bar, chicken breast, avocado and feta for lunch, salmon fillet and greens for dinner. Off on jolly bobs tomorrow, thank you everyone for the motivation and a place for weight loss ramblings!

LosingAtHumanBopIt · 24/05/2022 13:17

Have a fantastic holiday and enjoy showing off the weightloss you've done brilliantly.

I dropped another 2lb today after no movement in about half a week. That makes 9lbs in 2weeks 1 day, not too shabby.

I've just rediscovered the bare naked protein noodles, godsend for difficult days and miss the quantity of food.

MistySkiesAreGone · 01/06/2022 04:33

7 days of holiday and I've lost a pound, by some miracle considering it is all inclusive. 7 more days here.

I've been sticking to a Fast 800 Breakfast, like porridge or eggs, salads for lunch with chicken, feta or fish and a few lentils, and about 400 cal dinner, any extra have gone on wine or chocolate desserts (half portions), so probably about 1000 a day but I am walking, swimming and doing cardio classes.

MistySkiesAreGone · 04/06/2022 13:50

Back from hols on Tues. Lost 2lbs but we'll see...ice cream is tempting.

I'm going to do fast 800 proper when I get back. I have done an online shop that should cover 3 weeks. I reckon another month and I should be target weight.

clare8allthepies · 06/06/2022 10:27

Hi everyone. Starting today, been to the supermarket for a big shop and only just managed to fit it all in the fridge! Took loads of very depressing measurements including blood pressure on the border of normal and moderately high and blood sugar in the prediabetic range Sad

Starting weight 176.4 pounds or 12 st 8.4lb which as I’m only 5 foot 2 puts me well into the obese category with a BMI of over 32. Setting myself an ambitious target of 50 pounds, hoping to lose at least half on this then will maybe move on to the 3:4 but that feels a very long way off!

menu for today: lunch tuna salad, dinner chicken curry with cauliflower rice. Will have a play about with the recipe in MFP before I start cooking to make sure it’s on target. Wish me luck!

MistySkiesAreGone · 08/06/2022 08:18

Good luck @clare8allthepies !

I blew my diet in the last 2 days. Scarcity mentality lol. Had more chocolate mousses. Plus mojito, wine, aperol etc. Alcohol just goes straight to weight gain for me. I think it has maybe been a 2 pound gain.

Not sure if good or bad but they had scales in the hotel room! I suppose it kept me on track most of the time.

I'm not back at mine until Friday when I can weigh on my usual scales.

Back on it today.

I toned up on holiday with exercise classes and swimming so am looking forward to keeping that going.

TW is 9st9 and I am somewhere around 10st 4 to 10st 8. Started Fast 800 6 weeks ago and lost around 10lbs-14lbs on it. Hoping for TW at the end of June. I remember really not wanting to carry on Fast 800 before my holiday but the holiday has given me a bit more oomph for it.

xraydelta · 13/06/2022 08:06

Good morning ☀️

I am starting again today, and this time I have purchased the 12 week starter thing from Fast 800 site as it was 20% off. Stupid really, but I need the extra motivation as I clearly wasn't getting anywhere on my own 😆

I am doing the Very Fast Two Meal a Day plan, and I have printed out my meal plan and the shopping list. I have to say, although possibly not worth all the money, the shopping list aspect is vvv useful and will certainly save time for the 12 weeks.

I am also going to try and knock the wine on the head completely for the next few weeks.

I haven't looked properly at all the exercise stuff on the website yet, but that will be good too.

Happy Monday everyone 😁 And to anyone doing to reset/restart from today like me, hey 👋🏻

xraydelta · 13/06/2022 10:41

I am already taking it back. I think purchasing the 12 week Fast 800 is actually going to prove really worth it.

I am taking it very seriously. I have watched the videos, printing off the first worksheets, completed them.

I feel much more focussed now than I've ever been, despite reading and re reading the books.

I am going to try and change as little as possible to the suggested menus, and to weigh everything religiously.

Here goes with day one 😁

jeffersonsam · 13/06/2022 11:28

Following bllod sugar diet for keeping the body healthy is an good idea, at the same time, some of them are not able to following the proper food diet in a strict way, This will cause some side effects, another thing check up your body regularly, it will helps to boost your confidence and encourage to follow the diet in the coming days.

Gigitree · 13/06/2022 21:00

Hi all, hope you don’t mind me jumping on this thread?
my mum is currently doing the 8 week blood sugar diet and is 2 weeks in and doing well.

it’s my little girl’s 2nd birthday party at the weekend and I wondered if you can suggest some ideas of things she could eat that could be party food? If the weather is as good as it’s supposed to be I’m thinking perhaps some chicken kebabs and salad?

clare8allthepies · 13/06/2022 21:29

Good luck xraydelta!

that sounds like a great plan Gigitree

MistySkiesAreGone · 13/06/2022 22:21

Fast 800 lends itself to party food as so much of it is like picky food! I'd add in Greek Salad (just got back from there so biased!). Also maybe coleslaw made with yoghurt.

I've not been counting at all yesterday. I had porridge for breakfast, frozen yoghurt for lunch as went out, an actual packet of crisps (gasp, been weeks), eggs and salmon for dinner. I may have also had feta salad, can't remember. And about 4 mini milks.

Today was porridge, feta and chicken salad, and dinner was from the Fast 800 book - salmon stirfry. Plus a tonne of strawberries oops.

I feel a bit bloated, will weigh tomorrow for motivation and start counting again. I have a party coming up at the end of this month so that is motivation. I'm so nearly at my target weight, 9lbs to go.

I think this thread is going to fill up, I don't really feel qualified to start a new one but don't mind doing one as I need it.

Love love the enthusiasm @xraydelta

xraydelta · 14/06/2022 09:45

@Gigitree

This looks a great receipt for chicken kebabs that would be perfect. YY to lots of green salad.

xraydelta · 14/06/2022 09:56

Yes @MistySkiesAreGone I AM going to stick with it this time.

It's the only diet, and importantly Way of Life, that works for me. I am really trying to think and really dig down into why my motivation was so out of kilter last time as I think I need that kind of self awareness to succeed now. I think self sabotage is common and I want to work on that.

Christ, I sound a bit Californian with that, sorry 😆

The good news is, I haven't put on all the weight I lost last time. And yes, I am indeed brimming with enthusiasm.

Weighing absolutely every ingredient and being incredibly strict for the first 12 weeks really is the key and I won't forget that.

I have just unpacked the next 6 days of shopping nicely and neatly in the fridge, and am having a quick (black) coffee before a dog walk in a bit. I have to say, all the lovely colours of veg look so pretty. It really is such a healthy diet.

I am making Mediterranean omelette for lunch and teriyaki salmon for dinner. I bought a new Le Creuset omelette pan the other day so I am excited to use that. This is how I know I am now middle aged 😆

MistySkiesAreGone · 14/06/2022 17:02

Oh @xraydelta you sound like my kind of person 😂 I know what you mean about getting californian about it, but as long as you're not preachIng to all and sundry! I think the western way of eating is so badly wrong and it is all to do with marketing and that addictive combination of fat snd sugar and flavour combinations that the industry know are addictive - Michael Moseley did some good programmes on this, I think it was called Who made Britain fat. I mean if everyone ate what they needed a lot of products would become unviable which is food for thought (excuse the pun).

Totally agree with your approach of learning what wrong and trying to strategise for those things. I also think digging deep into why you want to do it. I mean ultimately its to live a long healthy life right? That is mine. I have a degenerative condition that is controlled by meds but if I didn't exercise I would feel it when I am older, so that hit home for me. But in the short term my motives are totally shallow and that is fine! I'm completely unshallow in most areas of my life, however when people notice and say wow you look so healthy, or how are you doing it, I actually love it - more in the sense of maybe it is inspiring them. Its also nice to try and look my best for my age.

Christ not sure where all that came from either! Enjoy the creuset pan! I got excited about a little dish I bought that has ridges on the ceramic for grating ginger, so far living up to the hype!

MistySkiesAreGone · 14/06/2022 17:08

In other news I left work early as so hungry! I know it is the mini milks and too much sugar. I really need to try and get back into ketosis.

Dinner is left over salmon stirfry and I'm going to pick up cucumber, peppers and other crudites for snacks.

I was 10st 2.2 this morning, not quite sure how. I actually suspect its muscle mass loss as I haven't exercised this week. However I am a little discombobulated from holiday still so going to have a push on things.

xraydelta · 15/06/2022 07:05

@MistySkiesAreGone Please go for it, and start a new thread!!

I am doing this diet then way of life for similar reasons to you, both for the long term benefits, in my case family history, and rather shallow short term goals 😁

The last two days have been textbook eating wise, although I am not managing the exercise yet. Today I am taking teriyaki salmon with courgette into work with me for lunch. I'll have to cook another one as although I made double last night, my teenager ended up eating the second salmon. She spurned the courgettes of course though.

Dinner tonight is chicken Caesar salad without the croutons. I don't much like croutons anyway, so the cauliflower will be much nicer as a replacement.
