Morning! Am starting Fast800 today. Anyone care to join me?
Any tips from those who have done it before?
I’ve only been up 2 hours and all I’ve thought about is food so far! I’m surprised how often I think about it!

Great progress!

However ...

My SLC bread and rolls arrived yesterday - I had a cheese burger for dinner (SLC roll, vegan burger, some fried onions and a sprinkle of cheddar) and it was AMAZING and all for 400 cal!

Please remember that we're not counting calories on Bootcamp!

Agree about overall speed of weight loss. 2.5 lbs a week is still a stone in 5 and a half weeks! It's an amazing rate of transformation compared to other diets and it really doesn't take long to start seeing and feeling the differences.

Can I join? I have lurked for a while. On day 16 here and doing ok although the last couple of days I have yearned for pizza!!!! I am using the cook book which has been great. I do not weigh myself so not sure how much I have lost, and I have a lot to lose, however clothes fit better and I can now get on a bra that did not even do up!!

I know I can't keep losing at that rate just hoped it might carry on a bit longer. But I've lost another 0.6 lb today so thats spurring me on

Can I join? I'm trying the blood sugar diet, so not specifically including the fasting period 16:8 at the moment. Only on day 4 so very early days! This thread has been a very inspiring read though.

I've got plenty to lose and cannot face the scales quite yet so am going to track waist measurement until I feel a bit braver.

I've hit my second target of getting into the 160s but I am up 0.4lb today - however, weight loss is not linear AND apparently week 3 can be a bit tricksy AND I am in a far better place than if I were still shovelling chocolate and crisps into my face.

I have lost 9.5lb now so I am really happy. Looong way to go though.

However, on pay day I am going to order the biggest Chinese takeaway and eat it without guilt. And then get straight back on it :)

I remember when I thought the 150s were high - now I will be delighted to get back there! 8.8lbs to go.... 11.2lb off so far.

Morning all, feeling a little despondent today. So, last week I was PMS-ing and I put on 1lb. Saturday morning weigh in and I'd lost 1.75lbs and later that day Aunt Flo showed up. I thought that I would begin to consistently lose from Saturday onwards now that she's arrived but I've put on 1lb again this morning!! I'm day 3 of my cycle. Thought that once the bleeding starts, the hormones level out and water retention reduces. I'm so peed off! I've been as good as gold! Does anyone else find this happens to them around the time of the month also?

Sympathy. I feel it. I shifted a stone in 3 weeks. Last week. 1lb. Sooo depressing and tempting to eat something in sympathy with yourself. Stick with it.

hello, how is everyone getting on? Despite things stopping a bit round the second half of week two and into week three, I have now shifted a stone! (just started week 4)...so hopefully that will give some motivation to anyone else experiencing a lull. What is everyone eating for lunch? I am getting into a bit of a rut eating lots of omelettes so looking for a few other options to mix it up!

I usually have leftovers for lunch, either from last nights dinner, or stuff that I’ve made more than one portion of and frozen. So today was leftover smoked haddock and leeks, from Monday, , tomorrow will be veggie chilli from the freezer. Yesterday I made a smoothie with blueberries, yoghurt, kale and cucumber.

I am intermittent fasting so often have breakfast for lunch - so porridge (with almond milk), poached or boiled eggs with low carb toast, egg/mushroom/spinach etc.

Otherwise I sometimes have tuna salad - tuna, vinega and a dollop of Mayo with chopped spring onion and tomato.

@travailtotravel - I'm still determined to stick with it. If I was on any other diet, I would've stuffed myself silly with biscuits by now. :)

@fluffydinosaur - well done you! I'm in week 4 now and it's getting harder to shift. I'm not going to weigh myself every day (she says) as I'm fed-up of not seeing the scales move much. Still not got to the 1 stone mark which is eluding me every single morning by 1 or 2lbs! Driving me insane! I bought the Fast500 Easy recipe book and also 5:2 Vegetarian and Vegan recipe book. Both are packed full of ideas and they are delicious! The Fast500 Easy breaks down the macros whereas the other book doesn't.
My go to meal is Miso soup with prawns, beansprouts and flat leaf parsley. It's deliciously filling. Tonight I'm making seeded cod with celeriac chips and lemon mayo with salad.

Finally!! Broke the 1 stone barrier this morning!! Just entering my 5th week and have had to revise my weight loss targets to make them more realistic. Next target is to lose 3.5 lbs by Valentines Day. How is everyone doing?

Checking back in. I’ve now lost 20lbs since the 5 January. 14st10 to 13st4.
I’ve found this pretty easy however yesterday I noticed that I just wanted to eat, nearly caved and asked DP to get fish and chips for dinner but didn’t. According to my Flo app I’m due on in 5 days so that probably explains it. Expecting my weight to go up due to water retention as well
