@kimlek this time is so hard for those leaving school. Could you do a film and pamper evening together? Or walk and get an ice-cream/coffee?

I have crept into the 9s this morning so very pleased and hopefully will keep me on plan today, despite being hungry already!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 02/07/2020 08:21

@kimlek ah that's a shame. My dd's yr 11 and she obviously has missed her end of school, and Monday was supposed to be her prom. She's naturally a very easy going girl but I can see that she's feeling very frustrated with all this and the realisation that when it so 'goes back to normal' the lost events such as this will just disappear without trace. I have promised her that once we can, she can have some sort of celebration at home with friends as compensation. It's so hard for them isn't it?

@Bestbees thanks, I have had a good week. I suppose the key for me this week has been to plan very thoroughly, and then actually stick to it! I am allowing more calories this week which means I'm having 1200 most days, but it seems to be working as I'm losing every day.

10.7.2 this morning.

Had a bit of splurge - such a weakness. Did a noodle stir fry with leftover panko turkey for lunch for DCs, and could not resist some of what DD2 left. Wow, the carbs were soooo good. Blush

Poor DCs - DD1 finished school yesterday. They did end of year assembly via Teams, but it wasn't the same. Her birthday is next week and we never thought it would still be in semi lockdown, or whatever we are calling this weird transition phase....

Static (like the word) - 9st 11 lbs.

Need to work on menu, I think.

MozzchopsThirty · 02/07/2020 10:19

I had dropped a kilo yesterday but can't weigh until tomorrow now as working from home today

I'm actually enjoying eating better, after eating pate on toast, followed by trifle in bed on Sunday 🙈

Justasecondnow · 02/07/2020 18:43

Hi all, and bestbees I’m also 7lb to go to reach 9.7! You will likely beat me to goal as I’m about to have a week off - and you’re already in the coveted 9’s well done! I am feeling so motivated for long term - did some shopping and took a punt on some size 10 jeans. Which fit! Yay! They were M&S jeans which I know are generous but 6 weeks ago wouldn’t have stood a chance. I’m so pleased! Will wear on week off and remember not to go too crazy.

As excited as I am about my jeans a wedding dress is way more exciting! How did pick up go plancina?

Been a good day today - just had a skinny latte from costa and now having chicken Thai curry w/roasted broccoli. Don’t usually skip lunch but was busy in office today (mostly been at home) and it got to 3 before I had a chance to even think about food so thought may as well go to tea. Calories wise will be on about 600 & carbs pretty low too. But will have a snack later if needed.

Week 7 weigh in tomos... hoping for a sneak into the 9’s - to join bestbees and obama ! We shall see.

Well done all!

Closing up the kitchen on 1266 cals, 49g carbs. 10k steps, no run but I did do a walk and a hiit workout.
Dinner was chicken coconut curry from the book and it was lush, I have bulked it out and frozen 3 portions for another time which will be good.

@Justasecondnow I cook the chicken separately because of fussy children. I did half as much again of the lentils and used light coco milk because it's so calorie heavy, and added mushrooms, pepper and half a bag of spinach. Then divided the lentils into 6 portions (3 to freeze) and this picture is one portion with 1 chicken thigh. Comes in around 310 cals that way

Difficult day - DD1 had braces put on at the orthodontist unexpectedly. We thought it would just be a check up about the movement of her teeth, but as I wasn't allowed in with her, got a call saying the orthodontist was going ahead Shock. Spoke to the orthodontist and decided it would be the best option, but poor DD1 who wasn't at all prepared for it. She came out quite philosophical about it, that it was better to get to get it done but she was quite teary as she wanted me to be there Sad

So, didn't have much of a chance to eat or think about food today.

Closing today: 400 calories.

Loving all the beautiful photos of food Smile

mswibblewobble · 02/07/2020 20:33

evening all! Well day 2 done and still feeling full Smile

Lunch was 2 poached eggs, some bacon medallions, quark and spring onions. Dinner was roasted veg (courgette, toms, pepper and red onion) with sliced mozzarella melted on top with fried crumbled cauliflower mixed with chilli and lime prawns. Works out 789 calories plus went for a run this morning... I use that term very loosely! Grin I sweated a lot and did just over 2 miles so thats enough for me!

I have noticed my resting heart rate is showing a bit higher than normal on my fitbit. Have read low carb can do that initially so hoping it means something is working!

Justasecondnow · 02/07/2020 21:26

Hope your daughters doing ok obama and well done mrswibble!

Which book is that in please bear ? Can’t see it in 8 week BSD Book or BSD recipe book?

Ps. Hope people don’t mind me abbreviating names!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 02/07/2020 21:29

@Justasecondnow it's in the fast800 book (not recipe book, the normal book) it's possibly called chicken coconut and lentil curry?

@Plancina - how is the wedding dress? I went for my first try on of styles today. I also joined the online 12 week programme to hold myself more accountable. So today was day 1 - so far so good.

Thank you all for letting me be part of this - I’ve read so many posts and am encouraged!

Feeling proud of myself this evening because dh opened a bottle of wine which was very tempting, but no, just a tonic water for me!

Clevererthanyou · 02/07/2020 22:52

Was proud on Wednesday to finally be down to 126.2 but very sad indeed to have bounced back up to 127.2 tonight. I haven’t cheated or eaten anything I’m not supposed to, I drank the water and sleep normally so not sure what the hell is going on.
I won’t quit though. 100kg first goal here I come. Blood sugar is 5.3 even post prandial Grin

Bestbees · 03/07/2020 07:42

Keep going @Clevererthanyou fluctuations are normal, it's the downward trend that counts.

Great will power @thenewaveragebear1983 I am hoping for that tonight as the booze just unravels me!

@Phwooooar did you choose a style?

I am down another 1.5lb today taking me to 9.12.5 very pleased! I was going to allow some chips with my steak tonight but actually now I am less inclined. Will prob be over on cals today, but on plan.
Lunch: onion soup with grated cheddar
Dinner: steak with mushrooms, onions and spinach in cream

Here is to a good weekend for everyone!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 03/07/2020 07:55

Weighed in at 10.7.5 this morning so a little half pound upward fluctuation today. Feeling positive though. These ups and downs do happen, and I think overall (since I hit rock bottom last week) I'm down 6/7lbs so I'll take that, seeing as I wanted to lose a stone over 7 weeks!! I am envious of you all in the 9s though, although I don't think I've ever been 9 stone l, certainly not since my 'amphetamines, raving and fags' diet of the late 90s/ early 00s!

I've got the most horrific period pain today, usual for me, but after having zero pmt I hoped that might not appear this month! I am going out for a run now but it will be a slow plod!

The day ahead is planned out and hopefully should go to plan. I have factored in a few g&slim and my food is good, and I am just going to have to keep my head strong! Having a busy day planned will help I think. Food will be salad lunch and dinner is minted lamb steaks with veg, plus a pud of yoghurt and strawberries

The weekend ahead will centre around a walk with my friends and our kids, and I can't wait!! It's our first social thing really and I've missed it so much. Picnic lunch etc so should all be fine food wise though. I'm feeling very confident in myself right now and that certainly helps my food control so long may it continue

Yay! I snuck into the 9’s! We’re weight loss doubles bestbees! And you def don’t need to be jealous bear saw your photos in an earlier thread and you look fantastic! Plus I think you are taller (I’m 5’5) and have more muscles due to all that running.

Stats from the start to now...

Start: 11.1
Week 1: 10.9 -6
Week 2: 10.7 -2
Week 3: 10.5 -2
Week 4: 10.5 -0
Week 5: 10.3 - 2
Week 6: 10.0 - 3
Week 7: 9.12 - 2

17lbs in 7 weeks - just over 2lb a week. Only 5lb to my goal weight. Due to having first child free time off with my other half in several months (whilst one kids in school and one in nursery) and various birthdays and celebrations I’m signing off for a week now. But will be back next Friday to knuckle down and get to goal. Whilst I will go off plan this week I actually don’t feel a mad desire to eat all the carbs. I’m hopeful this way of eating has shifted my mindset a little. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Justasecondnow · 03/07/2020 08:39

Oh placina you look beautiful!
