Palcina that is beautiful a d so are you!

Well done justasecond!
@thenewaveragebear1983 I am only 5'3. You look amazing. I still look like a blob!

Itshotoday · 03/07/2020 09:02

Fantastic results.

Can I check what your moods are like on this plan? Work is quite stressful and I just don’t know how to get myself on it and stick with it.

Plancina · 03/07/2020 09:06

😳 thanks everyone! @Itshotoday my mood has been totally fine and normally I get major hangry vibes! I think it’s key to use recipes from book or the online plan because they’re calculated to keep you as full as possible on as few calories.

Bestbees · 03/07/2020 09:13

It's hot, I think if you avoid carbs it helps with the hangry. There is quite a lot of anecdotal evidence that fasting helps with mental clarity. I think it depends on your job. I am a secondary teacher. Sometimes when I am teaching and fasting I can find u have a shorter temper. But when I am marking/planning/teaching older children complex philosophy then it is great.

Phwooooar · 03/07/2020 09:15

@Plancina - gorgeous! How exciting Smile

@Bestbees - can't find what I'm after in the shops so am going to get it made. Something like this (or this) but not white so I can wear again

@Plancina that dress is stunning and you look gorgeous!

@newhouse I find sometimes I wake up ravenous for some reason, although it's usually if I've been off plan or have eaten a lot the day before. A milky coffee can help keep you going, or if not, just eat! No reason why you shouldn't if you're genuinely hungry and you may find you then last better all day.

Morning all.

I know I didn't drink anywhere near enough yesterday as I was woken in the early hours with a proper thudding, blood swooshing my brain headache.

Ive had a rehydration tablet and lots of water and it's subsiding but it's left me feeling really drained. I might have a nap this afternoon.

Food wise I'm having seafood for lunch and a med veg traybake thing for tea. And lots and lots of water!!!

Plancina · 03/07/2020 14:46

@Phwooooar that’s a beautiful dress!
I felt very nauseated after my workout with PT over zoom so I didn’t have my planned chicken salad but a smoothie with berries, spinach, oat milk, peanut butter and protein/vitaminpowder. Came out at 289 cals. Still not feeling the best. Confused

Cocobox · 03/07/2020 15:38

Hi everyone, sorry I’ve been quiet, just catching up now. Yesterday was madly busy (I ate chilli con carne no rice) and today I have period pain, even my thighs are achey. Going to take some ibuprofen. Bear we are in sinc. Not sure what I am having for dinner, probably steak and mushrooms. Lunch was a small portion of bbq chicken.

You look fab Plancina, thanks for sharing photo.

MozzchopsThirty · 03/07/2020 19:57

Beautiful @Plancina

@Justasecondnow fantastic results Smile

I'm desperately trying to stay off the wine, crisps & choc tonight.
I've been so good, 790-900 calls per day, 12:8 TRE and 4 exercise sessions

I think I might just go to bed

But tomorrow I'm hitting the wine!!!!

Bestbees · 04/07/2020 07:42

@Phwooooar I had my dress made for me at it was such a lovely thing 😁

I ate totally wildly yesterday, whatever I wanted. It felt pretty good, I savoured it. But went to bed stuffed which was unpleasant. Back on it today. I find one day off really helps.

Plan for today:
Lunch cottage cheese and mackerel salad
Dinner turkey chili with veg
Lots of water and tea

Plancina · 04/07/2020 08:36

So I’ve had this stall for a few days at 65 and was feeling grumpy and like I should pack it in - until I stepped on my new smart scales this morning for the first time 😱 I have 35% body fat and 23 kilos of fat on my body, my fat free weight is 42kg! Now I know that being fat free is not realistic but it’s really brought into focus that I can and should be able to lose eg 10kg of fat. It’s also made me realise how narrow the margins are between healthy and unhealthy so I’m going to be a lot more careful in future.
Still at 65kg and we have this special meal booked tonight. Now I want to cancel it Confused

thenewaveragebear1983 · 04/07/2020 08:44

Yesterday didn't go entirely to plan, I ended up having a glass of champagne which dh was given by his work, and while I was cooking dinner I snaffled a few mini sausages and a sausage roll...just overwhelmed with hunger! No sugar though despite there being some decent options in the cupboards! Considering I've had a week of PMT and now day 3 of totm and not touched a morsel of sugar or flour based 'products', I'm very pleased with that overall.

Today I'm planning to not drink. I have terrible DOMS after doing my first hiit workout in weeks the other day and then running, so I'm not running today although am meeting my friends for a walk with the kids. I'm very stiff! Food wise, we're running low on salad type stuff so I will rustle up some sort of picnic with prawns, mayo, etc.
We're having burgers tonight, dh cooking, so mine will be burger sans bun and salad again!

Didn't weigh this morning as I went over yesterday (quite a big psychological shift for me as I usually like to punish myself with the scales after a day like that!) but I am confident that I can end the weekend lighter than I started it and it will happen if I stick to my plan. PMA and all that....

Have a great day everyone

@Plancina that's a shame you feel like that, especially as you've been looking forward to your meal. But you know yourself that zero fat is not aspirational! If you can, is it possible for you to see a menu for your meal tonight? That way you can plan in advance what you will have and you might feel more positive about it, even if it is 'off plan' rather than resent it.

I've finally had the whoosh I needed and hit 11.7 . I started this plan already low carb , no sugar with no losses so I didn't really expect my body to cooperate . I started six weeks ago and I've now lost 10 pounds. This is a major deal for me after trying Keto , slimming world , hypnotherapy and nothing else works . I have had blips along the way mainly with wine 🍷 . This week I have been trying to keep busy and having a smaller TRE window so maybe that has given me the boost . I've also reintroduced one strong black coffee to keep me going through the day until my eating window and I think this might have curbed my appetite . Nothing major planned for the weekend so I need to keep busy again . Next week could be tricky as I'm staying at my partners house Monday to Friday and a change of routine might feel like I'm on holiday and relax a little too much . Have a lovely weekend everyone

ilovemydogandmrobama2 · 04/07/2020 09:57

Yay Collywobble!!

@thenewaveragebear1983 - Other than PMT, not sure I understood the various acronyms, but apparently Champagne is around 125 calories a glass and one of the better low calorie drinks Smile. I had a small measure of gin last night with fizzy water. A bit grim and would have been better with full fat tonic water with lemon.

Fairly stuck on 9 st 11 lbs, and will consider it a milestone to get into single digits on the lbs front before holiday last week of July.

Off to menu plan....

Have a great day everyone!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 04/07/2020 10:10

@ilovemydogandmrobama2 oh, DOMS is 'delayed onset muscle soreness' which is a wanky way of saying 'I'm a bit stiff after my workout and can't sit down without saying ooof'
And PMA is 'positive mental attitude' a la Linford Christie Grin

OP posts:
thenewaveragebear1983 · 04/07/2020 10:11

Also, I did weigh in after all while getting dressed and I'm a few points of a pound down so clearly my champagne and sausage fest didn't affect me too much!

Collywobble great work!

Im finding the psychological effects a struggle - what do you do when you don’t live to eat anymore! It had become my pleasure. I was wondering if the online course offer some kind of motivational coaching? (This forum is fantastic but I’m sure you don’t want to hear my mental challenges )

Did have a splash of skimmed milk with the coffee this am.

Dinner planning fish and roasted veg.

Good luck all.

Plancina · 04/07/2020 11:04

I’m going to try and fast until 1pm, have a vegetable soup and slice of cheese which will leave 700 cals for dinner. I’ve just done a HIIT workout which has almost killed me Grin and I feel great now. Dfiance and I are off for a walk to the post office which is abut 3 miles each way, then a friend is popping over for coffee in the garden.
@thenewaveragebear1983 thank you for your kind words Flowers I have asked for the menu but it’s a local community pub and they haven’t got back to me yet. I’m hoping there is fish + veg/ some nice salads and not just fried food. DFiance got some really good news and wants to get a bottle of fizz Shock

MozzchopsThirty · 04/07/2020 13:05

I'm not fasting today, but eating well and still exercising

I had porridge at 9, then did a 5k run and had post run breakfast just now

Wine for me later Wink

@Plancina and don't be afraid to ask for swaps eg. Swap chips for veg or salad. Pubs are usually totally happy to do it and used to people asking so will just happily oblige. If you had a steak/gammon/fish and veg/salad etc that would be a lovely BSD compatible meal, no guilt!!

Clevererthanyou · 04/07/2020 15:20

Thank you for the wise words Bestbees you were right. Three weeks ago I weighed 129.7kg and now I weigh 125.5kg. 👌

Bestbees · 04/07/2020 16:44

@Clevererthanyou hurray! Well done!

@placina I hope it goes well tonight. One meal off it ok too.

I have the munchies so sipping tea. I am no way hungry, and I fasted until 1.30 as all the food a stuffed yesterday kept me going. Grin

thenewaveragebear1983 · 04/07/2020 19:18

It's been a good day for me, I haven't calorie counted but I imagine I'm over on cals but ok on carbs. No snacks, no sugar. Dh bought cakes and i managed to decline, twice, which I'm very pleased about. I feel quite strong at the moment, like I am knocking temptations out of my way. It was really nice to catch up with my friend today and have a proper chat; I've needed it so much.
I am having a g&slim tonight but won't be drinking loads. I was pleasantly surprised with my little loss this morning and don't want to undo it.

Tomorrow, I'm doing a short run in the morning. I'm doing a half marathon next week and restarting outdoor circuits so I expect next week to be pretty tough physically, so don't want to do too much. I will do a yoga video though, maybe the lovely 1hr one I did the other day if I have time. It does really help to stretch out the old muscles. Food tomorrow will be slow cooked beef brisket for dinner, and I may try to fast longer than usual until then by keeping extra busy during the day (but salad or egg lunch if that's unachievable)
