16:8 any success?

I've been doing 16:8 Monday - Friday for 2.5 weeks now . I pretty much eat what I like between 12-8 ( not in excess and mostly healthy).

I didn't weigh myself but do feel clothes fit slightly better and feel
A little less tired.

Does anyone have any success stories at all? Would love to hear!

That sounds good, jingle! Good luck tomorrow.

HereIGoAgainAndAgain · 16/01/2019 07:38

Well yesterday wasn't great, stuck with my eating window but came home from work and fell head first into the last of the Xmas chocolates and then started on the crisps Blush. The good news is that as soon as I had my tea I pressed fasting on my zero app and haven't eaten since which is great as generally when I have the munchies it will carry on into the evening!!

Jingle liking the sound of your slow cooker stew.

Here's to a great day for us all!!

jinglewithbellson · 16/01/2019 07:54

I don't have an app but think it's going to help me when I'm struggling.
Will have a look now.
Woke up hungry this morning but have just drank a big mug of tea with the tiniest splash of milk so feel better now

Here's to a good day Grin

FlamingGoat · 16/01/2019 10:04

I pressed fasting on my zero app
That's how you use it! I couldn't work it out and have been backdating the dates so started 8pm Sunday finished 2pm monday sort of thing. Blush I had downloaded bodyfast but you can't change the fasting hours unless you pay .

jinglewithbellson · 16/01/2019 10:25

Ha ha 😁just found and downloads the app and have put in Monday's and yesterday's back dates so now just need to hit the button when ready Grin

Cocolepew · 16/01/2019 10:29

I hit the countdown button within a second of finishing my dinner last night Grin
Had a bit of a sore head today, I dont think I'm drinking enough, I usually have about 3 pints of very diluted juice at night.
Good luck for today everyone

jinglewithbellson · 16/01/2019 10:36

Yeah I've been feeling heady this morning.
Mental note. Drink more water

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 16/01/2019 11:16

I just had my breakfast of tea, toast and scrambled egg and it was delicious. I had herbal tea and water earlier and no headache, thankfully.
Not to worry, HereIGo, you kept to your window. I don't think you can always ignore the treats; it wouldn't be sustainable. Have a good day, everyone.

HereIGoAgainAndAgain · 16/01/2019 17:57

Thanks IsFuzzy, your right and I definitely want it to be sustainable, can't keep losing and putting on the same weight!!

Today has been good food wise, just going to go out for a run and I never feel hungry afterwards.....although I've stopped feeling hungry all the time its now just occasionally which is probably how it should be.

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 16/01/2019 19:00

Yes, the same, HereIGo. I am not eating as much as usual and I haven't been hugely hungry all day but have enjoyed my food.
I had my breakfast of toast and scrambled eggs (one egg) at 11 and then I had two ryevitas with cheese and an apple at around 3.30. I had dinner at 6, fajitas with various vegetables and beans and I have had a biscuit and a small glass of milk before 7 just before fasting.
I am not eating for the sake of eating at the moment and I think that's an improvement. Hope your run goes well!

Cocolepew · 16/01/2019 19:24

I joined a couple of IF facebook groups, the photos are encouraging!

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 16/01/2019 19:30

Good, Coco. We just need to stick to it then 😄

jinglewithbellson · 16/01/2019 21:39

Had my thin with pate and salad at lunch but never got round to the apple yogurt or carrot sticks was so busy.
Had tea of beef stew with a slice of bread and butter at about 7.30pm and a small pot of chocolate buttons.
Now drinking water to try and combat the headache although it's better than it was.
Starting to feel less bloated already.
Hope everyone's day went well Grin

Cocolepew · 16/01/2019 22:11

It seems to be common, looking at the fb pages, for the scales not to move but people look a totally different shape Confused.
I've lost one of my chins 😊

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 16/01/2019 22:19

Coco 😁 good to hear! I think I'm less round in the tummy department too 😀

Cocolepew · 16/01/2019 22:21

Yay!

I'm not weighing until monday but I might take a full length photo tomorrow (urgh)

jinglewithbellson · 16/01/2019 23:32

I have a full length shot from the side and of my fat arse from the back from about two weeks ago. Blush

I've probably gained abit more since then but couldn't bring myself to take another one before I started on Monday.
Not sure whether to wait and weigh on Sunday which will be a week or just to not scale it as long as I can see changes in clothes fitting or shape.

12fromcold · 17/01/2019 06:58

Down to 1.2 which is 1.4 off this week (lbs not kilos!)

FixTheBone · 17/01/2019 07:03

I just do the 1:1 diet.

I eat the same calories as I expend.

I don't change weight.

Last year I ate a little less and lost some weight.

abbeydo · 17/01/2019 07:18

@FixTheBone Biscuit

Cocolepew · 17/01/2019 09:55

Good for you Bone.
Well done 12fromcold Smile.
I don't work Thursdays or fridays so had to fill my time not eating breakfast . Dropped DD off at college and came home and walked the dog which led me up to my end of fast.

FlamingGoat · 17/01/2019 20:08

I have an incentive to really go for weight loss. I've been nominated for an award and have a black tie awards dinner in May. I need to fit into a ball gown.

Ive also bookmarked a 30 day squat challenge . Im trying to find exercises I can do with my fractured elbow!

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 17/01/2019 22:17

Oh wow, FlamingGoat, well done!! Now that's what I call an incentive 😄

runwithme · 18/01/2019 08:21

Just bumping this to ask a couple of questions...
During the eating window, is there a calorie limit or is it a case of eating wisely?
Does anyone do this Mon-Fri and then relax a little over the weekend? We normally have a family breakfast or a Macdonalds on the run because of DC's club commitments and not sure if we can fit this in. Also dinner is sometimes later than 8pm pm on a Saturday.

IsFuzzyBeagMise · 18/01/2019 08:44

Hi runwithme, I'm only doing this since the beginning of January, so new to it myself. I'm taking the approach of eating wisely; keeping to small portions and cutting down on alcohol and refined sugars. I think there has to be a calorie deficit to lose weight. I'm doing 11-7 and I think I'm down three pounds so far. I have breakfast, a snack and a dinner during the day.
In your place, I would do Monday to Friday and keep my weekend schedule and eat as healthily as possible on Saturday and Sunday. There is no harm in giving it a try and see how it works out for you.
