16:8 any success?

I've been doing 16:8 Monday - Friday for 2.5 weeks now . I pretty much eat what I like between 12-8 ( not in excess and mostly healthy).

I didn't weigh myself but do feel clothes fit slightly better and feel
A little less tired.

Does anyone have any success stories at all? Would love to hear!

No posts on this thread for two weeks! Where has everyone gone?

Are we all still onnit?

I'm nearly 8 weeks in (on Wednesday) and am currently at 18.7lbs off (woo) - I originally wanted to lose 76.5lbs which sounded positively un-doable but I have nearly lost 25% of what I want to lose!!!

@ScarletPower that is amazing. You must feel so different.

I'm still chugging along with not much weight loss but still trying to eat within the 7-8 hour window. My pattern seems to be losing a bit on my working days and then maintaining on the other days.

I know I am still an emotional eater - ie this morning I broke my fast early (bread & butter) after a big row about messy teenage bedrooms. I am deciding to just keep ticking over until the schools go back (3 weeks today - yay!) and plan that as a new start. Just telling myself that if I was not doing 16:8 then I would have continued gaining weight- which I haven't.

@ScarletPower - fantastic NSV and weight loss - fab!

DH informed me this morning that I have keto-breath, he thought he noticed it yesterday but is sure today. I've done a VLCD previously so he recognises it. I didn't really expect this as I haven't limited carbs particularly, just my eating window (I usually do between 18:6 and 20:4 but sometimes 22:2) although I am trying to make veggies the main part of my diet and add in more healthy fats (nuts, seeds etc not oil). Calories have been between 800-1400, but I would guess more in the upper part of that range in the last few days. I guess it means I am into fat burning so I'll take it (I know I've lost weight but I'm not WI any time soon).

@PC20 - I feel your pain over the messy teenage bedrooms!

I’ve been doing this for four weeks now. I do 11 to 7 and I’ve gone from 10 st 4 to 9 st 12 with absolutely no dieting. I have porridge at 11, a light lunch about 2 and dinner at 6/6.30. The first few days were hard (especially the day I got up at 5 am to watch the sunrise!) but after that, as long as I had a black coffee, I felt fine. All my friends have decided to do it now too!

@Ebenezer1 welcome & well done on your first few weeks.
My weight loss figures are almost exactly the same as yours but I have been on 16:8 for about 8 weeks. I struggle not to snack on my days at home (work 3 days a week) so am acknowledging that I am just marking time until that wonderful day when DS goes back to school. We are away for a few days next week and then I will concentrate on the 'new term' for everyone.

I've gone from a 32 waist jean, to a 28 waist. All achieved through 16:8, 15:9, since May. Not weighed myself as I find it easier to go by clothes size. I'm now wearing jeans I've not worn for a few years!

Hi all, I've just found out about this and have been doing it for the past two weeks in conjunction with a 15-20 minute workout a day with FitOn (not always fast and furious sometimes just relaxation or stretching). Like many others I put weight on during lockdown. I don't weigh myself but I could tell by the way my body looked and the way my clothes fit (or didn't!). It was really getting me down.

I'm trying not to scoff my usual chocolates and crisps but other than that I'm eating pretty normally. My eating window is usually 1pm-9pm because I tend to eat after the children have gone to bed. Sometimes I do 12pm-8pm.

I can already see my body changing and feel it's working really well. I'm just hoping I manage to stick to it. It doesn't feel too difficult to stick to long term so I'm hopeful.

Just thought I'd come and update

Week 14 now - 25.7lbs down but this half stone to get me to two stones off isn't half taking some shifting. Probably due to the fact I'm not low carbing any more, but I am still religiously doing minimum 16 hour fasts every day.
