No it's just not nice breath, bit like morning breath iykwim?
I've been drinking loads of water, and I already feel less bloated and more energised 👍

Saltmonster · 07/11/2018 01:29

576cal Comprised just of quorn sausages and the oil it was cooked in spread throughout the day so not very healthy or much variety Grin. Felt like crap so that was all I could face cooking, think I'm coming down with something Sad

NiceUnusualDifferent · 07/11/2018 06:56

Finished yesterday on 804 calories had the cauliflower bake from the recipe book for dinner, it was gorgeous and I was stuffed. Felt a bit headachey again but I think it’s lack of caffeine rather than dehydration as I’m drinking lots. Scales showing a big difference already, I know it’s all water weight but motivating nonetheless. 😊
Going for a run this morning, only a short one as it’s chucking it down!
Have a good day everyone

fromnowhere · 07/11/2018 17:47

Today is the first day I've felt a bit headachey, is this something to expect all the time or just when you're starting out? I didn't get much sleep last night tho, so it could be that!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 07/11/2018 18:35

Definitely, expect a dull annoying headache. Try having a bit of salt, you can find yourself a bit salt depleted as you shed all the water and that can cause the headaches.

Good day for me, off out for a therapy run with my friend (slow run and natter) and then will have dinner later. Should end up on 1004 cals, 42 carbs which is good for me!

Lurker delurking with v easy mushroom soup recipe: soften and fry (olive oil or butter) a pack of frozen onions, add three packs of frozen mushrooms. Add a little stock and some garlic salt. Bring to boil. Switch off, let cool. Blitz

onanothertrain · 07/11/2018 19:52

865 calories and 56g carbs, not bad considering that includes half a cinnamon swirl pastry Blush

fromnowhere · 07/11/2018 21:07

Mmm durian that sounds delicious, will definitely try that recipe. Love mushrooms.

fromnowhere · 08/11/2018 12:30

Quick advice needed! Going to McDonald's for me sons birthday was planning on Just at having a coffee but if I crack what's the least worst thing I can have....?

thenewaveragebear1983 · 08/11/2018 12:44

Salad bowl with chicken is actually BSD compatible. Or hey had some breaded mozzarella things with chilli a while back which were ok too. They provide all nutritional info if you ask them so you can check the carbs in things like nuggets?

fromnowhere · 08/11/2018 13:39

Thank you! I don't eat meat so chicken was out. I managed to abstain and just had a flat white. Can't be bothered with lunch now so will hold on til dinner. I passed the McDonald's test!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 08/11/2018 14:31

Well done, I always have a large Sprite Zero at mcd’s as it tastes so sweet and it’s a treat as I never drink fizzy stuff normally.

1041 calories and 68g carbs today.
Just feeling a bit meh today. Had a real strong craving for spong pudding and custard and chip shop chips. Not helped by a rubbish day at work.
Managed to resist both of them and had a packet of Poppadoms and raita with curry instead.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 08/11/2018 20:46

1280 cals for me today, 60 g carbs, 14k steps (no run today)
I was doing quite well until about 3 pm and after 4 days cooped up in the house with Ds potty training, I reached my limit of wet pants and resorted to a minor kitchen raid (half a banana and half a bag of monster munch!) There was nothing really worth having to be honest or I would have had more! Feeling very tired, full of cold and have a sore foot, generally feeling sorry for myself! I would trade one of the children for a bar of galaxy Right now....

Tomorrow we are having Swedish meatballs for dinner, with pea mash and ‘real’ Ikea style sauce and cranberry- v calorie heavy. My plan is to run first thing, and then be very low cal until dinner.

837 calories today. It's been tough. I was faced with McDonald's, pizza and chips, cupcakes and somehow I abstained.
Really hope I see a shift on the scales tomorrow to keep me motivated!

fromnowhere · 08/11/2018 20:58

You sound like you're doing really well bear, don't be downhearted. 1280 calories is still a deficit on your tdee I'm assuming? And it's sounds like you're really active as well.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 09/11/2018 08:21

From thanks, yes it’s quite under my tdee. I’m just pretty exhausted right now, the effect of a few weeks of eating badly, being unwell, and sleeping terribly. Need some r&r this weekend!

Hi everyone, busy week here, have tried to post a couple of time but internet connection lost when I pressed post! Living in the middle of nowhere.. Sums up my week really. Had a couple of strict BSD days then a couple when I skipped meals and cut chunks of cheese instead. DH been abroad, one child sitting exams, one off school with tummy upset, one gearing up for sports competition on Sunday. I will weigh tomorrow, feel like I've probably just maintained all in all.

fromnowhere · 11/11/2018 09:20

How long have you need doing this Westwing? I'm at the end of week 1 and feel very buoyed by the steady weight loss, but I imagine motivation get much harder to maintain as the programme goes on?

fromnowhere · 11/11/2018 09:21

Have you been doing this?

thenewaveragebear1983 · 11/11/2018 09:48

Morning all, hope you’re all having a good weekend?

Reasonable day yesterday although I did succumb to a few squares of chocolate and a glass of wine. I’m reading Never Binge Again (again) in prep for my week ahead, as well as planning my menu out. Still full of cold. Off out for my run later, although I was going to do a long one, I’m not sure if I’ve got it in me. We’ll see.

Weighed in this morning at 10.3 which is pretty good going for me especially considering the last few weeks.

From motivation can definitely wane a little. I’ve maintained for several months now (not intentionally) and yes, I feel like my motivation suffers. I always feel better when I have fewer carbs and when I’m really working the plan though, and for me it’s s big indicator that I’m not actually ‘on it’ when I feel my motivation sliding. I also feel myself getting quite bored of food, generally, and that’s usually a good kick up the bum to get the recipe books out. I’ve been doing it on and off for nearly 3 years, this time since January.

Westwing1 · 11/11/2018 10:34

Fromnowhere I started on 1st Jan, weighed in at 10st 12 lbs (2 lbs less than my full pregnancy weight). Today I am 9 st 3 lbs and would like to lose another 5 lbs. I am small boned and feel so much happier at this weight. I was 9st in August but not for long.

What I have found is that the week running up to my period and the first day or two are my worst times to calorie count. I usually want carbs and gain a couple of lbs. I try to stay motivated by having small short term goals, next one is lunch with friends on 24th November and would like to wear a pair of black skinny jeans size 10 that I love, at current weight they look too tight to wear in public.

Tracking weight and measuring is a great motivator and still helps, also my big bras are all beige M&S, my smaller ones are pretty coloured Triumph Amorettes. I remember hovering at 10st 2 for ages and wondering would the scales ever be in the 9s or was I just too old (51) so I still get a kick to see the 9 appear.

fromnowhere · 11/11/2018 14:05

I bought myself a new top today to reward myself for a 5lb loss this week. Iit was only cheap, but i'm trying to reprogramme my mind to view treats and rewards in other ways rather than food.
Getting my hair cut tomorrow and just generally trying to view self care as my treat to myself. I'm doing a spa day on 24nov and I'd like to be able to buy a new swimming costume in a smaller size by then. Goals!

fromnowhere · 11/11/2018 14:40

westwing I'm 5"6 and last Sunday I weighed 12st 7lb.
After just a week I'm down to 12st 2lbs. To reach a normal BMI I have to get to 11st 2, which I'm aiming to do by Christmas. To be under 10st or even less than dress size 12 is very unrealistic for me, so i think you're doing great. Try to recognise how well you have done to get to this point. Weight loss is hard, so well done you (and everyone else on this thread plugging away)!

Calledyoulastnightfromglasgow · 11/11/2018 14:43

Oh I just ate an advent calendar and feel gross. Didn’t even enjoy it.

I’m exhausted and the kids are stressing me out and I comfort eat
