DS has gloves that came with his new wetsuit for putting that on. Apparently wearing them is the height of embarrassing, I told him it wouldn't be as embarrassing as me coming into the changing room and dressing if he refuse to wear them.

Also can you let me know how different your Intent and Valor sizes were?

I'm now trying to work out if I need to go up 2 in sizes in the Intent.

The Valor is more like the Arena carbon air or glide - lighter, more comfortable, less compressive. Mine definitely prefers these types of suits

Anyone watching British champs? I've got on tv and the inane comments up the side are driving me mad! I'm not talking about the ones cheering on the swimmers and congratulating them, it's the idiotic ones

Sizing on racesuits is a nightmare - different makes / models fit different body shapes, and the sizing numbers are all over the place and bear no relation to anything.

I literally just googled "putting on speedo fast skin intent jammers"

Loads came up.

Ds still doesn't really know what's best for him re his muscles but I'd absolutely say go up a size in intent. We couldn't get the pure intent (if you're watching British champs he wanted the purple ones which loads of the girls are wearing) because his size was the largest they had and no way were they going past his thighs 🤣

I've ordered him a 26 in intent and also the valor.

He's 34 waist and 39 hip and could not have gone smaller 🤣🤔

It's carbon air ds has from arena.

Hopefully he'll find the high waisted Valors a good fit.

I agree valor is less compressed, more similar to carbon air. DS is a breast stroker with bulky thighs - couldnt get on with intent at all

Another meet here today. Ds managed to pb again on his 400 free by 1.5 seconds having pd'd at para series with 3.5 seconds.

And he isn't a 400 swimmer 🤣

His main event tomorrow morning - 100 free.

Let's hope after all the rude suit drama they do him some good.

He managed a 59.2 yesterday when they asked him to race it to test timing pads (in training jammers) so 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

He wants a 57.7. Pb is 58.2.

Da did a classic today.

Raced his 200m free LC. First time in a year. Did a 3.3 second LC pb.

But.......

His 200m free sprint was 4 seconds slower than his first 200m of his 400 yesterday 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Now THATS an achievement

Oh not so mini weird thats my DS favourite trick. His 100PB is from a middle 100 of an 800 🙈

Ds doesn't race 200 because it isn't an S9 event and 200s are quite specialised.

He just chucks it in once a year to support his 400. I'm not sure we'll bother again 🫣🤣🤔

Ok so the Speedo Pure Valors have arrived! We have watched the how to put them on video. DS gave up when the waist band was around his thighs as he said it was squashing his legs so much it hurt. Does anyone have any secret tips on how to get them on?

Is he currently in Arena tech suits? We sized down 2 sizes from Arena in the Valor and it fits ok.

He is currently wearing boys sizes in the Arena Powerskin 2.0s. The size we have is right for his waist and a bit big on the hips according to the size chart (still has a little boy shaped body so no real hips/thighs). I'm wondering if its just the fact that the 2.0s are very stretch and comfortable and he's just not used to the tightness of proper tech jammers.

He has undone the waist cord hasn't he? I only ask as mine didn't ...

They went on perfectly.

Ds tried that but found it harder!

And I even checked the waistband was undone because my ds would also not think about that either 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤣

I'm going to try to help him put them on (with my eyes shut presumably 🙈) if that fails they will have to go back and try the bigger size.

He just put his BS trunks on. That he won't wear in public

So ds is 34 waist (just and 39 hips)

25 isn't going anywhere near his thighs.

26 is perfect.

But as you said much bigger hip size than he actually is.
