Just been bankrupted on regionals entries. Only got the hoody and hat to go (not that the hat will ever be worn)!

We put the hats on his bedroom wall, its just a shame he has the boxroom as we may have to start im the ceiling soon 🙈

Just imagine if you put them on the ceiling and one fell onto his face in the night, he have one heck of a scare!!

We've just had a meeting with para swimming because at least I can claim back most of his expenses through his sports aid funding!

I just wanted to know what I could claim back.

Also handy having just paid £660 to get my car fixed 🫣🤔😫

DS nearly wetting himself with excitement today 🤣🤣🤣🤣

They've put the para series times on the world rankings (his first time of ever being able to get world ranking times because para swimmers need IPC classification).

It never ceases to amaze me how enthusiastic he remains about swimming despite all the early starts 🤣

I can't remember exactly when I stumbled upon "Extracuricular" threads but I have loved following miniweird's journey.

It's just para swimmers can't for their classification until it's done by IPC.

Anyone else watching the unfolding comments on the swim England FB page re the open and woman's categories?

I have had a look. To be honest, I'm fed up with the comments that say people are being excluded. Nobody is. Sport is for the biological sex of a person, not what they believe themselves to be.

Swim England seem to have done a good job at protecting competition at all levels.

Isn't it.

Apparently thought processes now supersede biology

I'm absolutely for inclusive competition. Without it my ds wouldn't have the opportunities he's had.

But gender doesn't even have a definition because it's all about stereotypes and beliefs.

But I stand by what I've said for years that SE have made a mistake having gender as the the title for male/female option on rankings.

But at least they are being clear now. And I agree with their policy.

.....and in other news in the world of miniweirds swimming.

He's now off to Turkey for a warm weather camp and then straight to Germany for the World Series leg in Berlin.

He's away for 17 days.

Its a tough life 🤷‍♀️🤣

Does anyone hve any ideas about jammers somewhere between the Powerskin 2.0 and the all singing all dancing very expensive jammers.

DS feels like he wants to move on from the 2.0s as he is wearing the same style jammers as the 8 year olds but he has tried on some second hand Arena carbon Air 2s and didn't like the feel of them being so compressive.

Is there something between the two? Google seems to suggest Finis of Jaked but I never seem to see anyone wearing them so I dont know if they are any good and seem quite hard to get hold of in the UK.

Ds still has a pair of 2.0s he wears for general galas.

His decent jammers are arena powerskin carbon air but they aren't the ones that feel all shiny and like tent material.

Although he's just ordered a speedo pair like that!

I will tell DS about not so mini weird wearing 2.0s and his fantastic world ranking and that will probably keep him happy with his for the time being. He does actually like them I think he is just feeling a bit of peer pressure at the moment.

How old is he?DS had the Arena 2.0 / Blueseventy. I said I'd upgrade if he got regional times and now has the Speedo LZR pure Valor. He isn't full grown so the max compression ones are not worth it (as told to him by the retailer).

Ds has ordered the LZR pure intent high waisted ones. But he can use his sports aid funding and these are for international competitions.

Hello ds wore 2.0s until he got into British champs last summer. That was the first comp he had a more technical pair.

And as I say he's only got another more technical pair because that's what other athletes that level are wearing and he wanted to level the playing.

I have no idea how much difference they actually make
