Thought I'd start a thread now that the shows have been revealed. Who's got a DC or student applying? I have a feeling in my bones it won't be my DS's year this time - he's nearly 15, voice not broken but not reliable either, and apart from the one show we don't know I can't see anything he could obviously do! But he'll give it best shot and if no luck we'll still watch the shows. Good luck to all!

Bittersweet news here - heard today that DD was going to be offered a musician place on Ragtime in addition to her actor role in Imaginary. But as Imaginary had to move to the summer, the timings no longer worked. But so very proud of her! And truly grateful for the opportunity she's got. Now desperately hoping it all happens....

I thought I revisit this to see how everyone is shaking down. BYMT have rescheduled their shows to make it a 2020/21 season and adding a special Scottish show.
In the end DD got offered Peter Pan which was the show she really wanted so she has a week in Salisbury in October half term and two weeks next Easter.
What did NYMT decide?

Hi! @Lonecatwithkitten NYMT are planning on doing a weekend in December culminating in a big gala show In St John’s Square consisting of 20min excerpts of each of the shows they were planning on running, plus their usual Christmas programme.

It's a real shame they can't run any of the shows, but we are very grateful they are trying to run something. Although who knows at this point whether anything will be able to go ahead...

@doesanybodyhaveamap I am glad they have managed to put together something. A Christmas Concert in London sounds amazing hopefully everything will go ahead.

Such a shame they've now had to cancel everything, but totally understandable. It was dd's 1st year in the company, and sad she won't get any credit for it now, same for everyone who worked so hard to get in. I wonder if they will audition as usual next year with a the usual Easter rehearsals/Summer shows?

@Belshels BYMT have shifted their 2020 program to 2021 with Feb and Easter and are saying they will audition in the Spring for a second program in the summer.

Yes we are very grateful for that as dd also doing BYMT in Plymouth. Which one are you doing?

@Belshels she got Peter Pan which was originally going to be in Kingston and will now be in the Victorian Riding school at Powderham Castle near Exeter. She is very excited Peter Pan is the show she very much wanted.

Eeek well ds was on the reserve list. Apart from a couple of generic emails we hadn’t heard anything , then today , he’s had an offer of when the whales came! I’m so very excited and chuffed for him. Not sure how it all works though but he’s made up, if anyone can give me any insight into what happens next that would be fab. Xx

@Welshlal01 you confirm your place and then you will get the details as current and how to pay/apply for a bursary.
There have been zoom meet and mingles this week which have been recorded where some of the music for the shows has been revealed. And then we wait to see what happens next year.
