Popsy, I will pledge a 15/6k.

Running in the rain in a santa suit , that's dedication.

Wallace · 30/11/2009 07:10

I could do with that Santa suit - is snowy here!

I will do any distance up to a half marathon but I am doing a half marathon two weeks before.

I was going to run this morn (have a rotten cold but was going to run anyway) but my resolve is wavering...

girlsyearapart · 30/11/2009 07:29

morning all.

Count me in.

Love to twink- sending Christmas together vibes to you..

Reading half is the weekend before that Popsy but I could hopefully squeeze out another 10k or so depending on how I fared in the half.

Need to run to collect the car from where I left it at a party sat night but it rained all day yesterday non stop.

Hope the weather next sunday is better for my 15k.

OrmIrian · 30/11/2009 08:09

Do we need to do a formal run - or just run the distance we pledge?

Not running atm - haven't got time as dad is in BRI and I am spending my time driving mum up and down the A38. Hanging atm. No spare time. But will be back to it.

stickylittlefingers · 30/11/2009 09:11

hey Orm - I spent way too much time going to the BRI when my dad was ill a few years back. No fun at all, so my sympathies there.

Twink - more good vibes coming your way, hope you can sense them coming in from around the country! Have thought about you and your family a lot this weekend. Does make you realise you have to value what you have.

Anyone got any washing tips for a very muddy santa suit - Wallace it would have been much more suitable to do it in the snow! Perhaps people wouldn't have given us such funny looks then (no, really, I run round historical monuments in a santa suit every Sunday. If it's wet enough )

TutTutter · 30/11/2009 13:49

hi guys - think i'll have to give it a miss - i have the reading half the week before, and it's only 4 weeks from the london marathon, so i'll be sticking to a tight training schedule by then

popsycal · 30/11/2009 13:52

excellent girls!

popsycal · 30/11/2009 13:54

Just had the following emailfromJusitne

Hi
What a lovely idea - we're more than happy for you to go ahead of course, and will help in any way we can with publicising it around the site etc. Let us know what we can do when you got a few more details sorted and best of luck.
Justine

When do you think would be a good time to recruit other people? Post new year?

MnMarathon · 30/11/2009 14:10

Its Popsy. Just testing out this name....

OrmIrian · 30/11/2009 14:39

Ah. Just read your post properly popsy. I see what you mean now.

sfxmum · 30/11/2009 14:41

sending positive warm thoughts to Twink clan

OP posts:
sfxmum · 30/11/2009 14:42

OP posts:
popsycal · 30/11/2009 16:19

that is an excellent idea

am going to have a proper think about this later and will be back

thinking of twink and mr t
(I always picture mr t fromthe a team when i think of mr t) xxxx

OrmIrian · 30/11/2009 16:25

harm band? Is that like a knuckle duster?

Themasterandmargaritas · 30/11/2009 19:01

at harm band.

Or a t-shirt sponsored by some kind MN-er who has a t-shirt manufacturing/promo company? Then we could each take a photo of us 'doing it', where ever we may be.....

sfxmum · 30/11/2009 19:30

this is going to run like the Murakami gag isn't it?

yes pics of runners
the only reason I said arm band or some other token was that we could maybe send it back(washed) with a personal message?

OP posts:
fishie · 30/11/2009 19:59

Wallace · 30/11/2009 20:07
