You are so well qualified Bez! I hope the course was good.

I have been managing a conference since Thursday and time has lost all meaning..I went to the gym very early before I started on Thursday (feels like a week ago) and as the venue is beside the sea and I'm just finished I'm going to go for a walk to clear my head before going home.

BezMills · 26/04/2025 16:51

Everyone cancelled except me, so I got 1:1 tuition and finished 3 hours early. Kaching

And... ahem.... 1/100 3rd time lucky!

roonetta · 29/04/2025 10:59

I gave up HIIT a while back. I’ll be 54 this year and the jumping not only hurts my joints, but my pelvic floor lets me down too 💦💦💦🤭. I’ve also never really enjoyed getting out of breath. I am much happier lifting weights or doing Pilates and have found I actually look forward to the workouts.

30 minute LWC done

I find there's no point trying to force myself to do exercise I don't enjoy minimally hate because I just don't do it!

Mind you, it's properly hot here today so s&c was brutal at lunchtime

Had a bit of a slump this week, but still counting my boxercise training, BodyCombat and teaching Boxercise, 87

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 01/05/2025 14:09

That doesn’t look like my idea of a slump, Bez! My idea of a slump is when I only really move from bed to sofa to fridge and back again.

Yoga class done, taking advantage of working from home. And I have consistently managed five minutes of yoga stretches before bed every night for the past month or so, which I think is probably better than nothing at all.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 01/05/2025 15:02

I wish I had that discipline, Professor! I need to add something like that but never seem to get round to it.

S&c today.

I've been promising myself for 5 years, to do pilates for 15 mins on getting up tProfessorRadcliffeEmerson - maybe you will be my inspiration, and I'll do it before bed.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 02/05/2025 14:45

Good luck with the assignment, frustrated, I was doing a post grad course until last summer and got the heebie geebies when I read your post 😂

Back in the pool today after a long break. My sea dip partner is away so I mixed up my water activities. I'll try to get a dip this evening if possible.

Jillian Michaels yoga inferno L1 done. I’d forgotten how tough this one is, and it has sodding jumping lunges in it too. Unfortunately I've used up all my classes at the yoga studio and I’m too tight to pay full price for more, so I’ll be waiting a while for a special offer and will have to stick to DVDs.

What I did do is dig out Darcey Bussell’s dance mix DVD, which I’m so bad at it’s hilarious. Planning to add that in to my routine as they’re only five minutes each.

31/200

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 03/05/2025 17:15

That sounds like it might be fun, Professor, although I'd say it's a hard-core 5 minutes.

S&c this morning and 2 hours pulling weeds and garden tidying this afternoon. I'm half boiled from the good weather but it means no excuse to get the garden tidied! (and we were the mortifying untidy front on the road)

90 mins Cabaret dance class - And all that jazz 👐
78.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 04/05/2025 13:40

90 minutes Shock! I can’t exercise for that long, I go bananas with boredom. And I wouldn’t dare dance in public anyway. (I do adore Cabaret, though - went to see it on stage a couple of years ago, and wondering whether to go again now DD is old enough to take with me.)

Yoga Inferno L2 and the Arabian dance bit of the dance DVD.
