Dog walk and 1 hr pilates class. A lovely ring based class with lots of stretches. Just what I needed.

BezMills · 08/04/2025 02:38

Well Zuu was ok but honestly I think it was in third place after BodyCombat and BLT so it doesn't make the cut.

Did my back weights routine on Saturday then on Sunday Anna Sensei showed me a couple of shoulder skills from crossfit before BodyCombat.

Today BLT first thing then arms and chest weights at lunchtime. 71

Alittlefrustrated · 08/04/2025 20:02

13000 step dog walk - tracker isn't syncing with phone, so don't k ow distance. Probably about 5 miles.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 08/04/2025 21:39

Been really busy the last few days so I forgot to post. Gym on Saturday, sea swims Sunday and yesterday and gym today. I did some proper squats with the bar today which felt a bit risky but I've decided to focus on form rather than weight until I get back into the swing of things. I'm off to the west coast of US tomorrow for work so I'm hoping to get a few Pacific dips while I'm there. The water is a positively tropical 14c! (It was 9c yesterday which felt warm 😂)

Sounds like you're doing great MotherForkinShirtBalls!
10.9 mile dog walk today - he had a good time in the sea! Apparently he's gone home and put himself straight to bed 😂

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 12/04/2025 00:16

I'd be doing the same, frustrated 😄

I had a morning (which actually felt like a week, since I was up at 3.30am, thanks jetlag) of wandering yesterday before the conference started so I get in 22k steps and a sea dip. I was right, it is bath like compared to at home! And another dip today.

I'm very jealous MotherForkinShirtBalls - what a shame you've got to fit pesky work in!
90 mins salsa dance class today.

I think I'm going to start a new 100 active days challenge on Monday. I need the accountability.

roonetta · 13/04/2025 14:11

Just back from a glorious week in Devon. Jealous of your pacific swims Motherforkin!

I just clicked an ad link for the Les Mills Smart Step (helping the mn hq out with ad click)

It's like £200! !!

I know LM kit is dear but I didn't realise the plastic step was that steep. Well it's flat but ykwim.

Other branded and non branded steps are available. I'm quite sure 100% of them are cheaper than £200

Yoga Meltdown L2 done. I've been useless this year - I hoped I'd get my act together once DD's school holidays started, but no. In my defence I've been so busy I've been firing up the laptop before 7 am and coming home and doing another couple of hours after dinner. Hoping I can reset myself over the long weekend.

BezMills, that setup is a shocking rip-off!

19/200.

Alittlefrustrated · 15/04/2025 18:28

It's only April ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson! You've got loads of time to make this a great year.

It's really hard to fit everything in, Professor. I went to the gym early, before the jetlag hits!

OP posts:
roonetta · 16/04/2025 13:25

It’s not worth burning yourself out trying to do everything Professor. Is there any sign of work slowing up a bit? Hopefully you can get back on track soon. It’s so frustrating that we have to put ourselves last when it gets busy. I hope your employer appreciates you (unless you’re self employed 😉).

30 minute LWC (with heavier weights) done ☑️

BezMills · 16/04/2025 13:34

It is so frustrating when you're trying to get everything done and run out of day to get some exercise in!

I managed to get in at 6am yesterday but had a crap night's sleep last night and so basically today is a write-off ///school holidays\\

Boxercise Monday which defcounts as I got odd numbers and as well as holding pads, I did some punching becauseI never get a go and it's not fair to train my partner how to field the nuclear bombs his usual partner throws.
I'm proud to say my troops are punching really hard and generally I see great progress in all of them.

I managed a dawnie at the gym Tuesday and today, plus BLT and BodyCombat today. I'll sleep tonight!

Achilles playing up again, probably because I had doggo 2 days in a row. I've got him tomorrow, as an extra, so I'll have to strap my ankle. I really thouggt I'd improved enough to increase my walking frequency.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 17/04/2025 22:18

S&C today. I'm still sore after Tuesday. The few weeks off re hitting hard!

OP posts:
ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 18/04/2025 10:22

Jillian Lift and Shred done, with fairly heavy weights by my standards - I think I'll be sore tomorrow.

I'm hoping work will ease off next mont. Thanks for the kind thoughts!
